They recently just opened back due to Covid-19. They were one of the last restaurants to open in Hamtramck though :-( and the only restaurant raise there prices with a limited Menu... The staff is nice and they have this tea there that is so good and sweet. Also, they have some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever tasted. A couple friends and I took a chance on this small cafe when we wanted a late-night bite while staying in the area for an early-morning airport run. We were blown away! The staff were sincere and helpful, and seemed personally invested in the business and in us having a great first experience there. We watched them make the smoothies with fresh fruit, everything we ordered for dinner was delicious, and the baklava was better than most. The prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and we enjoyed the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Most of all, we really felt that the staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible experience. These guys deserve lots of business and a good tip! :) read more

I've recently discovered a wonderful, traditional Egyptian street food dish called Koshary (or Kushari) at another restaurant. So, I searched on Yelp for other places that offered this dish. I go to Hamtramck about every 5-6 weeks, so I had to try it! I called in my order for pick up and the young man on the phone was super nice. When I pulled up, it was nice to see that they have a parking lot. Hamtramck can be a little crammed in some areas and parking can also be tricky. It's a very small place, but they have a few tables. Two 4-tops, and two-2 tops. Again, the staff was incredibly nice. I got my food, went home and dug in! OMG.....their Koshary is sooo delicious. It's full of flavor! They included two types of dressing. I'm assuming one is mild and the other is hot like the last place I had it. I didn't use either because I felt like the Koshary was already bursting with flavor. Koshary is definitely comfort food and full of carbs! Rice, macaroni pasta, short spaghetti pasta, lentils, a spiced red sauce and a lot of sautéed onions on top. If you need to carb load, this is the way to go! Their pita is store bought, but it's actually a lot softer than other places that I've gotten it from. I also got a salad, which was pretty standard for Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants. I really enjoyed it. This will be a regular stop when I'm in Hamtramck! read more

Excellent food. We ordered lamb and cream chops chicken wrap as well as shish tawook plate with rice and hummus sides. We ordered fresh mango juice. All the food was excellent and freshly made. The owner is an excellent human being and gave us a juice drink for my little daughter. Everyone should try there chai. It's excellent excellent excellent flavor. This is such an unique little eatery place, even though the store front is very small compare average cafe's. But the quality of their food and friendly service is definitely top notch! I love how they have a free mango juice for the first time check-in yelpers, and let me tell you this, if you don't try their mango juice "you must have been a fool !" I mean how could you turned down a freshly made mango juice in front of your face when the mango they use is just next to the window looking juicy and fresh!! I come here with my boyfriend for the first time today and we used the voucher deal they are offering right now, even though we got to save some money at here, but this is really not a expensive eatery especially for the quality and price they are offering, the half size chicken sharwarma comes with three sides! The portion of his food is already beating some of $16 dinner plater other place is offering. The owner is very nice and offered us some of their dessert for free. Oh! After reading all the sterling reviews, I had to try it. They lived up to the raves. I had the lamb schwarma sandwich. Generous portion and perfectly seasoned and prepared. I also had a "small" hummus that was huge. To drink, I had delicious, fresh mango juice. I was happily stuffed but then was treated to a couple of complimentary pastries and chai tea. All in all a perfect lunch. BTW, I met two locals who said they eat here every day. Now that's an endorsement for both quality and value. read more

So glad my friend told me about this small little restaurant because my experience was simply fantastic. First of all, the people who work there are incredibly nice, they welcomed my friends and I as if we entered their home. We also got to try out some Middle-Eastern sweets. Now that's customer service! The food: The Boostan Shawarma Sandwich is a MUST try. Better than the typical shwarama sandwich, this amazing-ness is accompanied with their delicious boostan sauce. I've tried a lot of shawarma sandwiches but this one takes it for me folks. I also tried the Magnoona Sandwich, which has scrambled eggs with strawberry jam and cream cheese. This restaurant is super small - there are a few little tables inside and a few more outside. The menu was in English and Arabic, so I had a good feeling. Liked that I could order online. I was in a rush and travelling from a bad part of town to the hospital, so this was on the way. I ordered a falafel sandwich and that was it. The 3 choice meal for $7 was tempting, but I wanted to eat while driving and didn't need the pop. So just got a sandwich. The falafel was fresh and crispy, they put garlic on it per my request.
