Everything about this place is great. The instructors are super encouraging and make classes a lot of fun!

this is the best pilates studio! I've been coming to see Jenn Kelly and Keely at 5:30 am for a while now and they are the best!! Both of them are really passionate about pilates and go out of their way to get to know their students and give feedback when needed. Clarissa and Kim are also great. I love this studio in particular because I think the reformers are really easy to get used to, even for beginners. The instructors are really good about giving options to make your workout more or less intense. If you are looking to try pilates this is the place to go! read more

In contrast with other studios, where instructors deliver their uninspired schpiels with lack of attention to detail and dismal quality, Jennifer at Boost provides an inspired, personalized experience that leaves one content, satisfied and yearning for more. Much like the inevitable implosion of the Roman Empire, this proves that local, passionate players can outcompete the corporate shirt starch-laden pretentiousness that dominate the Houston Pilates scene. Jennifer provides detailed, individual feedback where she takes the necessary time and puts in deliberate effort to make YOUR experience unique and great. She makes a true difference, and I can recommend her to anyone. read more

Great class! Very challenging but makes the time worthwhile. Friendly class atmosphere and well-set up studio.

This is my favorite Pilates studio in Houston! I've taken classes with multiple instructors and I haven't had a bad experience yet! The instructors work my muscles (core, arms, legs, and muscles I didn't even know I had) until I'm shaking and continuously motivate me and support me to do my best and work my hardest. The location and the equipment is also clean and in great condition! I will never go to another Pilates studio again! Thanks Boost! read more

Pilates newbie here and unathletic as heck so take my long-winded opinions with a grain of salt. This studio used to be named Defy but it's now a part of Boost. A lot of instructors stayed at this location from Defy despite the company change so it's not all that different. The difference I can notice is that we do less Lagree-like workouts and more creative reformer Pilates moves -- i.e. no two classes are alike. Kim's Monday evening class is absolutely incredible. I've been to every instructor at this location, and she's definitely the most difficult yet the most motivating. Can't recommend her for a first class necessarily as her transitions are quick and her moves take some muscle. She uses HIIT techniques to make every single muscle quiver to exhaustion while getting that heart rate the heck up. She also makes sensational playlists and does takes requests. I also enjoy Keely's and Jenn Kelly's tough morning classes. They both seem to slide in one new, fun move in each class, right as I'm waking up. And these three gals have the playlists / volume-level down: loud enough to get the blood pumping. If you're just starting out like myself, Jennifer J. is super knowledgeable in classical Pilates and can ensure you get off on the right footing. Then really any of the early morning instructors are solid options as they anticipate a more advanced audience. So while none of them are easy, they can still ease you in. I do have to recommend the Heights location over the other two Boost locations. Besides the great instructors, it's just an open layout with tall ceilings and big windows so more breathing room as opposed to the smaller studios. The autopay pack prices can't be beat in the loop. I've hopped around to the other Pilates Reformer or Megareformer studios nearby at much higher price points, and Boost Heights remains my gold standard. read more

I love Boost and this location. Great instructors, fun music and you don't feel lost even if you are a beginner. Great workout that is still enjoyable. I even went to a 5:30am class and it was so fun and definitely worth waking up so early! read more

I took a class with Clarissa and I was really impressed with her routine. As an avid weightlifter, I didn't expect to be challenged by a Pilates class, but let me tell you, it was challenging! At the same time, I never felt like I couldn't do any of the movements, and everything was explained thoroughly with appropriate scaling options. Clarissa was terrific in making both newcomers and veterans feel at home. Will be back! read more

I love Pilates thanks to Jennifer Jaramillo! I dabble in a lot of things but I always come back to Jennifer. She always tells us where to work from and gives us ways to make things harder and easier. What I love most however, is that I learn something new every time I visit. read more
