poor customer service. performed unnecessary n not approved…read moreservices which caused damage to motherboard. We discussed changing the front n back screen. i Never got a call about changing the batteTy. But when I go to pick it up I get charged $60 for a battery. the phone turned on before taking the device in Just fine. i pay the $60 and in the parking lot. I try getting on the phone. It kept rebooting. I call and Let them know. Thinking the battery they put in was damaged since they replaced my apple battery with a cheap product. I dropped the phone off the next day as they requested. They were suppose to call me with an update. Of course they didn't. I called 3 hrs later. And was informed I needed to pay $150 for a motherboard. Informed them that i never agreed to have my phone battery removed. Which based on research can damage the motherboard. I asked for my old battery back. They agreed to refund me the 60$ since I was never informed about it before hand. I asked if they can deduct the 60$ from the price of the motherboard and I pay the difference. $90. The little girl working when I called said abe would call me back. Of course she didn't. Called Saturday at noon because no one called me. And he claimed he didn't do anything wrong. I informed him making changes to my phone without speaking to me first was wrong. And that my phone was fine before taking it in. N because of his negligence he more than likely damaged my phone more.. Asked them to use the 60$ they charged me for a battery didn't agree on Towards the charge of the motherboard. He started yelling and hung up on me. I reported him the BBB for making changes without consent. Forcing me to pay for them.

If you need a place to repair devices, consider this place adequate…read more The clerks were super friendly and got through occasional lines of customers. It's a small place, where the front does minimal sales of accessories and pushes hard on Asurion's monthly coverage plan - but respectfully. The staff keep it clean, it has seating. You won't feel uncomfortable standing or sitting. The service was fairly quick for the repair I needed. And they got my old iPad looking brand spankin' new. The parking lot is small because it shares the small lot with other suites in the strip mall. If I needed another repair, I would highly consider a return to this location.

Instead of trying to fix it, the tech told me to go to my carrier to have it fixed! I did and the carrier confirmed that UBreakIFix had damaged the antenna. I went back to the shop and was told that the tech who had worked on my phone had left and I would have to come back the next day! Overnight, the screen began to show bruising that ended up covering the screen entirely! (See attached picture) When I took the phone in the next day to repair the damage the tech had caused, I was told they would have to order the parts they had damaged! When I expressed my frustration at the situation, the tech became very angry and emotional and threatened to not fix my phone if I kept 'disrespecting him'! So unprofessional! I ended up keeping my phone and filing an insurance claim with my carrier to get a new one. I will never return to UBreakIFix. The techs are rude and incompetent.

I don't have a Boost phone but I was accompanying a friend of mine who needed to have her phone…read moreunlocked so she could switch from Boost to Mint, to take advantage of cheaper service. She had already bought the time plan from Mint and she only had to get her phone unlocked to do the final stage of the switch. The lady behind the counter was very patient and very polite, and by no way is this review a relocation of her customer service skills by any means, in my opionion she would revive 5 stars for her patience and attentiveness, but this review is for the boost company and the store that we were standing in for 2.5 hours while this angel of an employee called not one but three Boost customer service lines and a technical support line, and finally a number specifically for the boost stores to call when they have an issue. She was than finally able to get what we all thought was the code to unlock the phone. However, after the rude man finally gave the lady helping us the wrong number he continued to complain about how she should have called the other numbers (she did call them first but she was getting the same run around as us.) They thought she was a customer and told her the same as they instructed us before we made the trip down to see her,"to go to the store in person and they have the number for you." Which of course was an complete lie and a avoidance tactic to get you off the phone and off their queue so they didn't have the responsibilities of providing you with any help and successfully relieved themself of any accountability of doing so. The end result.... The code was wrong, and on top of that even though my friend had paid off her phone in full 6 months prior to this Sh$&show, we later learned by calling all the same numbers and asking for supervisors that unless you own a Boost phone for longer than a full calendar year 365 days since it's paid off you are stuck like chuck with that horrendous company and their awful guidelines loopholes and regulations as well as bad customer service, because although that one customer service representative was excellent the other ten we than had the painful experience to witness by hearing them on speaker or by dealing with their curt attitude and flimsiest excuses in the planet, as well as numerous times being disconnected!! I'd never ever ever go with this pathetic excuse for a cell phone provider. Almost as bad as prepaid!
