Called customer service and they explained it to me so I went back and got a router. Then I couldn't activate it myself and have a job so I had to wait a couple days to have a technician come out. All that said, I've dealt with other WiFi etc. carriers both with my family and on my own and can say the customer service at spectrum in Big Rapids is pretty good and as of now the WiFi is sufficient and working well. Activation may require a tech person to come out but going into this that's what I thought had to happen anyway so I was not flustered when the activation employee explained that to me (she was also very nice which helped). For new independent persons, don't forget to add a router to your order but other than that I'd say given their promotion prices and customer service, spectrum is a good way to go.

The manager there wouldn't even take the time to talk to her - told her to have me call Verizon, which by the way - my account has been closed the minute I switched my line and it is like an act of congress to get anything done now and had he taken a few mins to listen to her, Verizon would send the verification code to my mom's active line. This guy wouldn't even listen to her. Said it only takes 15 mins to do this over phone - well Mr. Chad, I have news for you, I have been dealing with Verizon for 2 weeks trying to switch lines and I'm on hold for 20-30 mins first before talking to someone. This Chad manager is super rude, obnoxious and my mother is a meek and mild woman. This store is by far one of the worst ones out there. Chad should be fired for his behavior as I was on the line listening to it while my mother was trying to ask someone to her. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! They have a poor rating for a reason!!! I could not believe what I was hearing while on the phone with my mom. Unbelievable! That store has always sucked with the wait times as well.
