In 2021 we were renting a home where the landlords used Top Stream for services. But, since then we have bought a home. We had Top Stream come out for 2 estimates. One being gutter cleaning, and power washing. The second is new windows for our house. In early March 2025 we had our gutters cleaned and the house power washed. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond with their work. They pressure washed a section of our porch where there was a grease stain.not something that was on the list of things to do, so it was greatly appreciated. We really, really appreciated that. I could see a real positive difference in the exterior of our house. Pricing for the power washing and gutter cleaning was comparable to others. We also like to support local businesses. The gutter cleaning resulted in the large amount of rain we had to properly come out of the gutters. We really needed a gutter cleaning. They did an amazing job with that as well. Windows: The process of the window purchasing went pretty good. The estimate was below a lot of the big well known large companies. Again, we wanted to support local business. The measurement process was quick. It took about 3-4 weeks for the windows to come in and another week or two before the process was complete. The installation took 3 days. They did well. The three men here were great! We enjoyed their personalities, hard work, and attention to detail. We are extremely happy with the whole process. It was one of the best decisions we made for our house. Their communication was great during the whole process and their attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Top Stream has always been great with communication. Caleb and his staff have always been professional, polite and helpful. I highly recommend them. Our next project will be a new door, as they offer that service. My husband had said he will absolutely be using Top Stream for future projects. We selected RA Woodall & Sons to repair our roof based on some personal recommendations. We called…read moreand they came out quickly, identified the issues and proceeded to repair (before quoting or asking). He even took the time to blow off the entire roof to look for more issues. I have absolutely no problems with the gentleman that come out or his work. My issue is they did not quote before doing the repairs. I was expecting maybe somewhere around $400 based on the time and what was done, so I didn't bring up it should have been quoted first. I was very shocked to see for less than 1 hour onsite, filling some nail holes and caulking around flashing and other areas they charged us $800. They did lower it after we called them to talk about it. We are going to replace the roof in the next 2-3 years and had planned to just have them quote it, based on how they helped us with this. However, I am hesitant because I am not confident that they won't try to charge more than the quote or perform services I don't authorize.

The seller decided to replace the roof using R.A Woodall and we requested that the warranty information be provided. A year later a leak developed so we contacted R.A. Woodall and I spoke with Alan Woodall. He would not give me a date/time he could have someone look at the issue. I literally called and even texted him dozens of times. Alan would give excuses as to why they could not come out. One excuse was because he had a 400k job going and that was a higher priority. After a month after reporting the leak he finally sent out Butch who was very nice and attempted a repair. 2 weeks later the roof was leaking at the same place. I contacted R.A. Woodall again and spoke with Alan who says they are not sure when they can come out and also that this repair is workmanship related and is not covered under warranty (warranty is not transferable to new owner). We still requested they come out to have a look as they were the installer and should be most familiar with the roof and their workmanship. 2 weeks later and I have not received a response and meanwhile the damage inside the house is much worse. We resulted to calling another company to do the repair. In our experience R.A. Woodall is not responsive, does not honor their warranty and does not prioritize warranty work.

I first contacted them, via web, due to a roof leak that I no longer wanted to repair. After initial contact, I received a call from the next morning, as well as other contact to set me up with an estimate. Jessica, the sales rep, came out a few days later to provide the estimate. She down-sold me from a metal roof, explaining the original cost, and required maintenance in the future, which was incredible. It is rare to see that from sales departments, in my opinion. She also possessed more detailed information about roofing systems than I would expect of a sales rep, and communicated her confidence level pertaining to her responses. The best part, she was not pushy. Overall, it seems that LBL sales, based on my experience, are not typical salesmen, but instead those that have passion about the trade, and want to sell real solutions, as opposed to selfishly maximizing commission. The schedulers called me maybe 2 or 3 days after placing my deposit, which was quicker than expected. With an original estimate of 3 weeks out, it ended up being less than 1 week. I was told to expect them around 6:30 AM and for the job to last for 10-12 hours. They finished the work at 4:30 PM, followed by the cleanup, lasting about another 90 minutes. They estimated the repair work very well, and that is considering they had a late delivery of the material, the day of the job. The roofing team was incredible. They all showed up on the job-site ready to work, and that is exactly what they did. They were incredibly professional, courteous, and ready to roof my house. It blows my mind how they did such a thorough job, in that little of time, my hats off to them for sure. They were led by Michael, the project manager, and he was an incredible liaison. He had great communication with me, updating me when I needed to be updated, as well as taking ownership of the project. When returning to my home, there was an incident with the delivery company, in that they busted a hydraulic line on their equipment. Michael briefed me as soon as I returned, had evidence of the incident, and had already reached out the the company alerting them so that they could prep remediation. This was refreshing, in that he could have covered it up and I might have never known, meaning Michael has integrity. He also has been communicating to me, following the project, to keep me alerted on the steps he has taken to help resolve the issue, despite the issue belonging to the delivery company instead. I appreciate stuff like this, because it does show ownership of the project, instead of brushing it off. After inspecting the work, everything looked incredible, and I have not been able to find any trash anywhere. Overall, this company has earned my trust. They have integrity and seem to do the right thing. In the world of any home repairs, you always read about those that are taken advantage of in some way. I do not feel like that will be the case for this company, as they have proven themselves to me. I would recommend them to anyone that needs roof work.

Yarkey roofing is the best roofing company in Tidewater. We had our roof done 4-5 years ago and…read morethey just responded to some details we have recently discovered. One was an issue noted by a pest control estimator (which turned out to likely be nothing). Yarkey came out, inspected, explained the reasoning and added metal flashing to ensure it was not a problem. Additionally, our gutter guard is from the 80's and there were problems with nails falling behind it. Eventually the nails showed up hanging between the facia and the gutter. Yarkey removed all the hanging nails before they left. We love the job they originally did on our roof, but can't say enough about them backing up their work down the road. Yarkey is a quality company and has ended up being a cost effective value for us.

Misleading Service Area Information…read more Their website claims they service Williamsburg, but this is not entirely accurate. After finding them online and seeing my city listed, I called to schedule an estimate. I was then told that because I live more than 30 miles from their location, I am outside of their service area, even though I live in Williamsburg. The website should be specific and state that they only service parts of Williamsburg or mention their mileage limit. This was a complete waste of my time. I recommend they update their website to be more transparent with potential customers.
