At this time, the lady who answered the phone told me we would have to pick up because they did not have any available time to drop off on the Friday before the event, but that they would pick up on Monday. I agreed and paid. The chairs were white, dingy and dirty, but at this time I was in a pinch and we took them despite the filth. Fast forward to Monday, no one showed up to pick up the chairs. I called Tuesday to ask about it, and I was told at this time I would have to pay more if I wanted to have the chairs picked up or I could bring them in. On Monday I could have done this because I had access to a truck to haul them, but by Tuesday I was without options. The woman I spoke to this time said a new hire had misinformed me about the costs, and I guess the new woman was the one sending email quotes too because I was told the wrong price twice and misled about company policy. I agreed to pay for pickup after I conveyed my disappointment. This review is to let you know about my experience with this company, which I will not do business with again, due to hidden charges, miscommunication, failure to stand by agreed upon prices and finally the condition of the product.

Upon entering we were greeted by Chris. A lovely clerk, but in the end, not very helpful. We told the Chris that 1) we were not familiar with the brands that they carry so we would rely on her knowledge and 2) we are in Iowa less than five months out of the year as we are retired and homestead in Florida. She steered us to the HomeStretch brand for a loveseat. Specifically, I asked her about durability because I have had Lazy Boy furniture in the past and had been very happy with it. She responded by saying that "Lazy Boy isn't what it used to be" but that this Homestretch would be good. Ok so we trusted her. My husband who is 6' and less than 200 lbs is the only person that sits in this chair. Within six months the chair was leaning and the seat part of the cushion was shot. Because we are in Iowa only five months out of the year by the time I returned to Iowa to report this collapse, the "warranty" was out of date by about one month. We were to pay to have someone come out to look at the piece ($50) and then they would evaluate the cost of repair. Chris was able to get the initial $50 fee waived, but the total cost of the repair would be about $350 including a pick up and return delivery to our home. $350 repair job for a piece of furniture a year old. If I wanted crap furniture or virtually zero customer service, I would have gone to some low end big box store. I don't recommend Redekers at all. My husband and I were small business owners for 40 years and never treated customers so poorly. I'm sure Redekers is in the Ankeny area regularly so I believe to waive the pick up and delivery charges for the repair of this furniture would have been the better decision on their part particularly because the furniture is so new. They chose not to work with us and that is poor judgment on their part. I would not go back and purchase another item from them again. Lousy.

While the location isn't huge you'll find the well-established brands (All-Clad, Le Creuset, Wusthof) that you trust right here. As someone who enjoys cooking, I can spend a lot of time browsing in here for kitchen gadgets. I do the majority of my business here around the holidays and they do a really nice job of wrapping gifts. They are very helpful in answering questions and guiding you toward the right purchase for your task or gift idea. As I write this review I can see many items that we've purchased from the Cooks Emporium. They are local, offer high-quality merchandise, and offer competitive prices on par with even online-retailers.

The rest of the fee world the shippers can give you a promise time and in almost all cases deliver something within ten days of ordering. They could do neither.
