I actually really enjoyed my breakfast here! It hit the spot. I ordered a breakfast wrap and loved the amount of sauces/sides that came with it. I was very pleased with how we were treated from the start and explained a step by step process for covid-19 regulations for the restaurant. It was their opening day for patio seating since the pandemic started and everything was spotless and well organized. The staff was very kind and attentive, always made sure you had what you needed. Connie who I believe was either the manager or the owner was so welcoming - and she ended up being our waitress. She was attentive and went the extra mile to make sure our experience was perfect. This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I visited it once before the shutdown. The place is a mediocre, more on the lower side, service was okay, Chatted with the manager back then...the food was okay, but they're trying too hard to make things 'fancy', but at the end there isn't much you can do with a breakfast place. I've been recommended this breakfast spot by my boyfriend and I am so glad we tried it out. It was before the patios were opened so we got take out. Our breakfast was packaged beautifully and the food was nice and hot. They have a large menu with lots of delicious options for all kinds of breakfast lovers. We were very happy with the service that was provided as we understand that the service industry is under a lot of stress due to the pandemic. Had this place on my list to try and had good reviews on Google. I love going to different breakfast food places to try out and this is a cute little restaurant. A lot of breakfast spots usually look the same interior wise so it's pretty basic and they have some good choices on their menu as well. Nothing really NEW stood out to me because a lot of them have mostly the same stuff with different variations. I tried the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was very enjoyable. I tried a bit of the steak one and it was nicely cooked. The pancakes could be more fluffy but that's our preference. I really liked their iced almond milk latte and it was nice they gave simple syrup on the side to put it in to your liking. A very bustling breakfast restaurant that serves a wide variety of breakfast and dessert. Like a cross between Cora's and Demetre's. The food is fresh. Everything was cooked on the spot right behind you in their open kitchen. Their boom fries are very similar to pizza pizzas wedges. I liked em. The quantity of food you get for the price could be a bit better. The smoked salmon Benny was pretty good and you can't go wrong with the standard toast, sausages, and bacon.. Didn't like their chocolate Belgium waffles. They weren't Belgium(they were light and fluffy like normal batter waffles) and they weren't chocolate (only chocolate syrup on top) disappointed. I had breakfast here this morning with my daughter and grandchildren. The restaurant was really busy because of it being Mother's Day. When we finally got our table, service was great, and the food arrived in good time and was hot. I found the prices slightly higher than I would normally pay for breakfast especially since the portions were not really large. Would I recommend this restaurant to my friends? Definitely. I have an aversion to "sit yourself" and pay at counter joints. I also have an affinity to pancakes. A 4star is quite a feet when I should already be stripping a shop of their stars. Staff was great.... fantastic, I'd have to say best staff in breakfast joints in Vaughan. I got a coffee for $2.50, saw the boom all day and got that instead, free coffee plus other stuff for 6$... I look like a degenerate more so today then usual, but the staff was fast and friendly kept bringing refills asking if everything was ok, maybe they were worried I was homeless and was gonna dash??(probably not with an iPhone) With every shop doing their spin on home fries, potatoes, hash browns they probably have the healthier alternative and 2nd tastiest spuds. Coffee was good and flavourful even after cream and sugar. Eggs were perfectly executed. The pancakes, with chocolate sauce, it's 2016, everyone is using Nutella now, but even that stuff wouldn't be able to salvage the pancakes, the batter whatever healthy alternative that it might be just sucked, sorry. If I had a group of people that needed to be happy with service I'd bring them here. Service was friendly. The waitress let each table know with updates of when the food would arrive. A bit of a wait is expected on a packed Sunday, the updates is all you can ask for. She then brought a plate of muffins and fruit, complementary due to the kitchen being backed up. Great service. I've been to the Eglington location where the food is decent. It's equally as good here. Some of these old reviews may have been opening pains. The eggs Benny with prosciutto was perfectly cooked. Came here for the first time based on reviews. When we first came in o one greeted us even though i did see the staff see us come in. After a little while, one of the associates came and greeted us. Told us at the wait was going to be about 15 minutes but it was quicker than that. They brought us over to a small table which we needed a high chair for. It was great that they provided the high chair for us but it was in such of a tight area it was a bit uncomfortable. Our server was okay seemed a little rush as it was busy time for them. Food was really good very much different than the regular Sunset Grill or Denny's. Very cozy atmosphere I enjoyed the location maybe I'll try going in when it's not so busy. read more

My girlfriend and I have been going to boom on St. Clair for years. When this location opened up we had to go. Now, this is our breakfast spot when we have days off. The servers are all nice, as we always get the same things the servers already know our order(Sup Michael) They are very busy during weekends so expect a wait but believe me it is well worth it. Terribe Breakfast Experience !! First, no one greeted us, stood by the door, after calling someone to help us, the first thing she said was that they were understaffed and need to wait to be seated. So we waited a bit but notice a lot of empty tables. So we asked the waitress if we could least sit down while we wait. She then said ok but don't expect service. We said as long as we can get a coffee at least we will wait. We sat down, 10 minute later we got the coffee with no sugar, no cream , no cutlery another 5 minutes we got the Menus imagine ! then we ordered right away so the breakfast would not be delayed. Then we did not get our breakfast right, mine did not have the Rye Toast and the pancakes were mixed with the fried eggs instead of being in a different plate, I don't like my eggs with maple syrup !! When I asked the waitress for a different plate and my toast they forgotten, Instead of apologizing , I was told again that they were understaffed as if that is my problem. I came to have breakfast not to deal with or fix Boom Restaurant problems. I believe I was more than reasonable and not complaining about the wait, but now more errors with my food , cutlery, napkins, etc and more importantly the waitress trying to make their problem my problem I thought was not only not fair but very poor customer service at this place. Then, no one would clean the table so the table was full of dirty dishes, so had to put them in the empty table besides me for not only I do not eat at home with dirty dishes on the table and why do so when you are paying for breakfast, but I also had some documents which I did not want to get dirty. Then a waitress came to tell me to not put the dishes on the other table, then I just flipped, that took the cake, so I told her if you do your job I would not have dirty dishes on the table, she answered its because we are understaffed, so I said close the restaurant do not open but do not make me pay for the restaurant's problem. They really want you to adopt their problem as your own and for you to pay the consequences of their problem. I do not know who manages this restaurant but they need to get this problem fixed. I had not visited this place for more than 6 months, for I notice bad service before but thought maybe its change, and it has changed, it has gotten worse not better. It used to be good place to have breakfast , food used to be good, its nothing to what it used to be. Avoid this bad experience if you can. I will never go back here again. To put the cherry on the cake, I lady from another table who arrived almost when I was about to leave and did not not the whole story came to criticized me for saying to the waitress that the restaurant's problem is not mine problem. So what a terrible breakfast experience, I still tip them 10 % for the waitress is not the manager, but still did not even get a thank you. Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid !!. Next time I will go to another place who have their act together and do not put customers to this ordeal. read more

Surprisingly below average - was recommended Boom by one of my friends who tried out the St. Clair location, and decided to try it out for brunch with my boyfriend. The BOOM Frites were pretty great and the coffee is bottomless, which is always well appreciated. Our main issue was that the portions was not worth the value you were paying - for example, we ordered one of the classic breakfast plates and the one piece of toast that came with it was very small. I got the salmon eggs Benny and the yolk of the egg was not runny at all, and the hollandaise sauce was very lacklustre and bland. Overall, we would not return to BOOM & would rather try out other breakfast places in the area. read more

Revisited Boom last weekend and was more impressed this time around than on my last visit. I had eggs (no yolk), toast, frittes, pork loin (instead of bacon) and tea. Frittes are a bit odd for breakfast as they're really mini versions of french fries, so I asked if I could order home fries/hash browns and pay extra, but was told frittes was the only option. Everyone else at the table had bacon and eggs, with the same sides as I did save for coffee. We all enjoyed our meal although it did take an unusually long time for it to come out from the kitchen. Windows now have sun shades.....a nice touch as it can get quite bright in the restaurant. The décor is one of the better places as far as breakfast restaurants go. Only small complaint was service. Our waitress was very busy but was still welcoming. One of my dining companions requested a glass of water while ordering their meal and was told "certainly"...but never got it. When our meals came out our waitress asked if anyone at the table would like water. The person who initially requested the water asked again and this time it was brought out. Our waitress had completely forgotten about the first request. Just a small annoyance in an otherwise good visit. I would recommend the restaurant for breakfast to others however, the determining factor on whether I'll return again is the potato dish with breakfast. My personal preference is for home fries/hash browns and as this is not an option here, I'm a tad more hesitant to return. read more

The steak quality was good, had a little too much fat for me but I am a filet mignon type of guy so I am never happy with fat. Eggs were scrambled so not much to report there. Boom Breakfast and Co was a bust! I've wanted to try this place for awhile but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. My first impression when we walked in was the room seemed a bit crowded even though it was only half full. We had a very short wait but when the waiter came to ask how many was in our party, he went straight to the people BEHIND us. Thankfully, they were gracious enough to say we came before them. Needless to say, that settled if we'd ever come back again - NEVER! We were placed at a table for two by the cooking area. It's the worst place to sit in the restaurant because it's a high traffic area with the staff going back and forth to put in food orders and pick up food. We were not amused. We're they going out of thier way to ensure we wouldn't come back? Well, good job, they succeeded at meeting that goal. Now the food. I had a Father Gianni omelette and the hubby had the Power breakfast (eggs scrambled). Both egg dishes were under cooked and soggy. They were also tasteless. The toast was barely toasted. The potatoes wedges were ok - they had the most flavour. The bacon was cooked as requested and that is the only food I enjoyed. In summary, we will not eat at this restaurant again. We will go to Dawn across the street, which is better in every aspect and we thoroughly enjoyed it when we went there a few weeks ago. read more

Came into this joint not too long ago, I ordered the veggie omelet with a devilled egg on the side and my girlfriend ordered one of their sandwiches with guacamole. The food was quite nice and staff was friendly. I really liked my omelet and felt as though the portion of veggies in it wasn't bad. My omelet was supposed to come with fries but I opted out for a salad. Food was actually pretty good. The few tiny complaints I have was the portion of the salad I opted in for was very small. I finished it in 3 bites, where as if I got fries I would have gotten a lot more food. Secondly their menu was a little confusing, there were no commas where commas should have been. Lastly, the hollandaise sauce was okay, the recipe could be revamped, it was a little bland. These complaints are more for the owners to try and change but not as a deterrent from coming here. Came for breakfast on the holiday Monday at 830am. It wasn't full when we arrived but by the time we left there was a line up. We were a large group of 8 so the only area that could accomodate us was the patio. Most of the tables inside seem to seat 4. I agree with other reviewers that the music is bit too loud for early in the morning but on the patio it wasn't overly bothersome. The food is decent but nothing wowed me. My review is not based based on a single visit but on multiple visits through Monday to Friday over several months. So you weekend people may not get the full appreciation for this review. Boom has a great breakfast special Monday thru Thursday they give you 2 XL eggs their breakfast Frittes which is their version of home fries, toast and coffee and an OJ. Great breakfast for the price and always been made to my liking. My bottomless coffee was always filled with a smile. After looking at other reviews that are posted here on Yelp I feel maybe there based on a one time visit ? I can tell you I've been a regular at Galaxy Dinner , Wimpys, Sunset grill and Cora's to name a few of the local places.These places to some degree are okay, but Boom in my opinion has them all beat. Boom has all their bases covered a clean restaurant good quality food and some great staff member s who always greet me with a warm smile and hello. I've had maybe 50 breakfasts at Boom ( I'm a big fan of breakfast) and I have received consistently a good breakfast that was made to order served up fast and hot. So for all those breakfast lovers I would defiantly recommend giving Boom a few tries! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. If management from Boom check these reviews ? Went for a Sunday brunch, and it was quite busy. But my friends and I didn't feel rushed at all. Service was great. I tried the Benny Boom which was basically the eggs benedict and it was quite good. My friends also seemed to have enjoyed their meals as well. A friend had the burger with sweet potato fries and those fries were fantastic!!! Only down side was that another friend ordered turkey chorizo as a side and it was super duper salty and inedible. Ill likely be coming back. read more

I am a Sunday breakfast regular! Very happy with the Tuscan sun which is poached eggs and roasted tomatoes with prosciutto on top of rye toast! Also the chick-a-dilla wrap is very light and fresh. Their hot sauce is a must, can't find it anywhere in stores! The only thing I wish they would change is the home fries! The potato wedges just don't cut it the same way home fries would. Our second time at Boom and was likely our last. The food was decent, no complaints but service needs to be improved. When we got there line up was okay, we expect to wait 15-20 minutes which is no big deal...however, shortly after a bunch of people showed up who knew either the manager or owner there got to jump the queue, which is done pretty obvious so that's a huge disappointment in how their business is run, I understand it's their business they could do whatever they want but that's the rating it deserves by treating your other customers who patiently wait for their turn.
