This is one of my favorite places in the area. Whenever my partner and I go book shopping, we come…read morehere first (and we also sell them all the books we read for store credit). The staff is so friendly, and the selection of books is LARGE. There is something for everyone here, whether you're looking for a classic, a mystery, manga, a cookbook, or even a puzzle. They also do little events throughout the year, and put a lot of love and thought into them. If you follow their social media you can see when the events are and I encourage you to attend! They always have a fun game or free gift or little treats. It is such a homey feel, and is so great if you like the classic bookstore feel. The pricing structure is also simple and straightforward; you pay half the cover price for any book you get (which means many of the older books/airport readers are a super great deal). Couldn't recommend more!

Books are 50% off the cover price, in the back there are 1$, 2$, & 3$ books marked with…read morecorresponding stars *. I picked up a couple of books from those shelves. There's a section for vintage and classic books and an adorable couch to sit on if you want to get cozy and read a bit. The window displays are always cute, there's a "beach" read theme for the summer! Inside there's a mystery display. Current popular authors are found as well as some obscure ones. Very small poetry section, which is sad as I'm a fan and writer of poetry! Nice and helpful staff!

I'm so glad I saw this cute bookstores at Stony Point Shopping Center! The sign showed a stack of books and a cup of tea! Need I say more?! And the name of the shop intrigued me, Redemption Books. My first impression when I entered was WOW! Although this isn't a huge bookstore, it was spacious and beautifully appointed. The bookshelves were gorgeous, the colors were enlivened, the furniture was warm and cozy, and the décor was serene and lovely. The murals in the children's department were especially heartwarming. This store is predominantly a Christian bookstore (hence the name of the store, duh, I should've put that together), but it also carries other titles, fiction, reference, young adults, self help, classics, poetry and more! I purchased quite a few titles, both hardback and paperback. The prices are amazing! They sell new and used books, and also take donations of good quality, wholesome books. There is also a little beverage area where you can get a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy a leisurely moment of reading. I nestled in with my Earl Grey and broke open the spine of a book of poetry by Whittier that was copyrighted 1893! There's plenty of seating and some tables if you need a work station. I met Val, the sweet lady who was minding the store and we had a lively, invigorating chat! She showed me around the store and was as nice as she could be! She also informed me that they host events by various authors from time to time! Come on in and perhaps find a novel treasure of your own! If you miss this spot, you can only blame your-shelf!
