Booksale is my heaven. I have found so many treasures and so many wonderful discoveries within this store. Everytime my family and I go to a mall that has a Booksale branch they know that the only thing I need to be happy for days on end is to browse through its stacked shelves and cases and buy all those fabulous paperback worlds. They are definitely not as well-stocked as the other bigger bookstores but that's part of its charm; the delight of discovery.
They have both popular and helpful and obscure books with a really wide coverage of varying genres. If you need any self-help, religious-themed books, they have it. If you're looking for any Nora Roberts, Stephen King, James Patterson, Clive Cussler, Tom Clancy novels, they have LOADS. Looking for manga? They have that too. Children's books are wonderfully cheap and all in good quality. Are you a sci-fi and/or fantasy novel fan? They have PLENTY of Star Trek and DragonLance and R.A. Salvatore novels with plenty of the rarer ones from TOR publications. Or are you more into the classics? Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen, Doyle, Bronte? Yep, they have a whole shelf full of it.
The fantastic thing about Booksale is, as per its name, the price. All the books there cost half or even a fourth of what they would normally go for in places like National Bookstore, Powerbooks or Fully Booked. They have both new and second-hand books and I don't know about you but I find it really satisfying and intriguing to find books that have little notes or dedications or reminders scribbled between the margins. It gives the book a sense of shared continuity. So visit Booksale. Let yourself experience a bit of serendipity. read more
