This book + cafe concept is a hit at McKinley Hill. The white theme and modern interiors give off a homey vibe to it. A home away from home. I guess everyone would agree that nothing is more relaxing than having a book in tow with access to good coffee at any given time. Even at 2 in the afternoon, it's packed! You won't really notice it though.
You're free to borrow books. You just have to leave your ID at the counter and stay there until closing time - one last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey and beer. Oh wait. I went off base there. It really thrills me to see a lot of people interested in books or anything that requires reading! It doesn't matter. They have magazines and a variety of books from self-help books, specialty ones and fiction. They have a few board games in the mix as well. I don't see any reason for you not to enjoy your stay here.
I scheduled my meeting here and while waiting for my friend to arrive, I ordered a cup of cappuccino (P125) and their French Toast with Bacon (P195). I thought the French Toast with Bacon was a bit pricey based from the photo on their menu. I was mistaken though because their servings were ample for one person. I had to share it! It was pretty good, too, especially the bacon slab!
It's pretty convenient to come to this place as it's just less than 5 minutes of walking away from where I live. If I ever need a place to hang out other than locking myself up in my room to no end, I'll definitely swing by. read more
