After 6 quotes, I chose Alex (Hermanes Flores Gardening) as he suggested a "drystack moss rock wall" would be the most financially feasible for me. His crew began the work while Alex was out of town, but he stayed in supervision mode with them daily... and they were fantastic! These young men were so diligent and quite strong. Lugging in all those big boulders, chiseling down the fit to stack, it was a 10 day job (a French drain was included)! It was a very dirty job, however the daily clean up was impressive... the FINAL clean up was mind blowing! They even cleaned the street on my block, hosed down everything, my neighbors were very impressed. The finished wall looks beautiful, when the garden they also planted for me starts to bloom THAT will be the true finish. I'm very happy and highly recommend HFGARDENING.

So I'm adjusting my…read morerating to a 4 as a reflection of the limited work that is done being actual quality most of the time. Cancelled services today because the level of service for the price is completely misaligned. They charge the same year round but do less service in the winter but wanted to up my bill to mow my relatively small front and back yard an additional time in the summer. 160$ per month for what effectively amounts to an hour of actual service (30 minutes x 2) per month. Broke one of my sprinkler heads 2 weeks ago, never came back to fix it as they agreed. Dumped grass clippings in my recycling despite the green can being literally right next to it and not full. They sold me on additional "lawn maintenance" to make the grass look nicer and keep mushrooms and weeds at bay, front lawn is littered with mushrooms, and grass looks the same as before they started over a year ago. The only improvement was from my increasing the watering. No other maintenance of foliage outside of the lawn. I'll pay my 13 year old 100$ a month and get a more thorough job than with these guys. For what work they do mowing the lawn, they do a good job but that's the bare minimum

I was quoted for lawn services by Lawn Care Up that was free for the first month, then $50 moving…read moreforward. The original estimate stated that the initial service would "eliminate existing weeds and stop new ones before they start." Based on this, I decided to sign up, as I needed the service completed ASAP, and I provided credit card information for subsequent lawn maintenance charges. A couple days later I received a text stating that the service was completed. However, when I arrived home, both the front and backyard looked exactly the same as I left it - no services had been completed. Again, initial quote stated the first service would "eliminate existing weeds..." I contacted Lawn Care Up and was told that a weed killer had been sprayed instead of weeds being pulled, and that it could take a day to start working. Four days later, there was still no change to either yard. Weeds were still very present, as if no service had been completed at all. Photos attached show my lawn four days later with no visible changes. I then cancelled services. LCU offered to have another lawn servicer come out, but I declined because this was already a waste of time and energy. Shortly thereafter, I noticed that my credit card had been charged $50. I contacted the company before disputing the charge, but they refused to credit the amount. They now claimed that the weed killer can take 21 days to work, which was never disclosed to me prior to starting the service. If it had been disclosed, I would not have chosen this business as I needed lawn clean up immediately. Instead, I was charged for a service that was never rendered. Dirty business. Fair and ethical business practices should not involve false advertisement, misleading promotions, and 'fine print' loopholes to take money from customers.

Our yard had gotten away from us after years of neglect, and with a new dog in the family, we wanted him to have a safe, open space to enjoy. After doing some research, I found The Grounds Company and decided to reach out -- best decision we made! Sebastian, the owner, is incredibly professional and just an all-around great guy. He came out for a consultation, walked the entire yard with us, and within a few hours we had a clear, itemized estimate that was very reasonable. The breakdown included everything: overgrown weed removal, tree trimming, debris haul-away, and even stump removal. Rain caused a couple of delays, but Sebastian was always quick to communicate and had us rescheduled within days. On the day of service, Sebastian and another crew member arrived earlier than scheduled and got right to work. They worked fast, efficiently, and did a tremendous job transforming the yard. What used to be an overgrown, cluttered mess is now clean, open, and dog-friendly. Our dog was absolutely stoked once the work was done -- the backyard is officially his turf now! If we ever need more work done, we're definitely calling Sebastian again. Highly recommend The Grounds Company if you're looking for honest pricing, professional service, and amazing results.
