Cruz Landscaping is amazing. They left a card on my door and we called to get a quote, they were able to come the next day, offering exactly what we were looking for, low maintenance yard while bringing some brightness to our home. The price was unbeatable. The completed the job within the week, 2 half days, on time, and even added more rocks than we were planning to tie everything together. About 1.5 months later they also come back to help fix my irrigation main that popped. read more

We have hired Cruz Landscaping for many years for our yard maintenance, and they also go above and beyond the requirements. They have also built a new back porch for our house and installed wood fencing between our house and the neighbors. The quality of the work was outstanding (even my neighbor was impressed), and the cost was well below other quotes we received. This past weekend, a huge branch from a tree in front of our house feel into our yard. I contacted Jose at around 9am, and by 11:30am it was completely gone. I was amazed at the quick response, as I would have settled for a couple of days. I realize Jose might not be able to accommodate this quick response all the time, but it proves he cares about his customers/clients. read more

Did a long overdue one time major cleanup of my yard and the result was exceptional. Price is fair and Jose and his crew were punctual, efficient, and very professional. I have since had regular bi-weekly landscaping maintenance and it's been similarly high quality. Definitely recommend! read more

Honestly didn't even get service from this "company" but had a man walk throughout my lawn and all my neighbors lawns leaving these cards. Like we have side walks? You don't cut through peoples yards. Like who the heck thinks that's okay!? Absolutely rude and disrespectful, enough for me to find them on yelp to leave this! DO NOT RECOMMEND! ZERO STARS! read more

Jose at Cruz Landscaping was exceptional!! They came out and gave us an estimate for a fence and retaining wall. Both estimates came in under 3 other estimates. The crew came out on a Monday and they completed both by Wednesday!! ( it would have only taken them 2 days but we have clay dirt so it was a lot more work). The time between the estimates and the work was about 2wks. They would have been out sooner but we were waiting on the neighbor and getting it all set for all our schedules!! We were for sure impressed with how quickly they were able to get us into their schedule and get us all squared away They were professional, on time and did exceptional work!! We've already referred them to a few of our friends and family who need fences/yard work. We are still needing some additional landscaping done and we will be without a doubt using Cruz Landscaping!! read more

I don't know where to start!!! I contacted multiple landscaping company to come and give us a quote for our project. Many came and some didn't even waste their time as soon as they saw our yard and said that it will cost us a fortune. One landscaper even told us that they didn't want the job. BUT when Jose came to see our front/backyard he didn't hesitate to help us and he's very honest. He gave my husband few ideas and advised us that he will send us a quote. After comparing, there's was no doubt that we want to work with Jose. Him and his men worked very hard and gave us a beautiful water free front yard. A lot of our neighbors asked who did it and of course we gave them Jose's contact information. My Father in law was so I love with our yard that he hired Jose to work on his rental and hopefully more. I 200% recommend Jose, Cruz Landscaping. read more

Jose Cruz came out to give an estimate. I had an ideal of what I wanted. He was very helpful finalizing the details. I was able to benefit from his expertise as a landscaper to see my vision. Jose and his crew showed up a day early. They got busy and were finished that day. I walked out and looked at the finished product and said, that is exactly what I wanted. Great pricing from a great man and his crew. Thank you read more

I was unfortunately disappointed by Cruz Landscaping. I have a neuromuscular disease that prevents me from standing and walking more than a few feet. I can no longer dead head my roses and some red flowers that make up a hedge. I used to be able to dead head them myself. It used to take me 10-15 minutes a week. I negotiated a price of $175 for service every two weeks with Jose to include dead-heading my flowers so that the flowers would grow back. Otherwise, my front and back yards are dry-scape. His men didn't dead head the flowers. I've given them text notes for weeks. I don't know what else I can do. Asking them to keep to their promise does not work. read more

Awesome job. I have a townhouse in Midtown Sacramento that is difficult to get to and required tree/shrub/junk removal. Jose and his team arrived on time, were very easy to work with, and worked very quickly. Completely transformed my front and back patio in under an hour! I'm very happy with their work and would absolutely hire them again for landscaping and cleanup work. 10/10. read more

Jose and his guys did an amazing job on my backyard project! Jose is extraordinarily professional, communicative, and explains the various options before and during the whole process. I truly feel that he and his team went above and beyond my expectations. They built the retaining walls and planter boxes, filled with good soil, and planted my trees/plants. Was so happy that I also signed up for their biweekly service, so they can continue to maintain my landscape. I highly recommend this outfit, and will be calling them back, when it comes time to do my front project! read more

José and Manuel are awesome! They made my yard shine! I would highly recommend Cruz Landscaping! Jose came out to give me an estimate and even though I decided to cut my own lawn moving forward, he spent time with me telling what decent prices are if I will look for people again. He also taught me about my sprinkler heads, adjusted 3 of them for me and even told me which ones I should replace and what to replace them with. Again, this is all after I said I would cut my own lawn. The honesty and helpfulness alone gives Cruz Landscaping 5 stars. Thank you again Jose! read more

I've only had an estimate done by this company (so far) but the service was amazing and Jose was super knowledgeable and willing to listen to the plans we wanted to see for re-fencing our property. Definitely recommend having these guys out if you're in the market for making some changes and want someone who knows what's up. read more

Jose Cruz and his team are professional, reliable, skilled and great to work with. I hired Jose to remove and redo my front landscaping. The first day they removed 9 yards of old, and nasty black bark. They dug out multiple plants and cleaned up what was left. Day two the team planted 20 new plants, laid down weed block, reworked the drip system and spread 9 yards of beautiful and clean new bark. On top of that, they spread 5 yards of bark in the back yard and cleaned everything up so it was spotless when they were done. Now that there is a fresh pallet front and back, Jose and his team will be maintaining my yards on a regular basis. For six years I have tried and failed finding a gardener who could maintain a yard that isn't the traditional mow and blow with grass...I think I have finally found the right team. read more

Put in a request to talk to someone six days ago and haven't heard back yet, so I guess they're all booked up.

"Seamless" is the word that best describes working with Cruz Landscaping Service. Every two weeks, Jose Cruz and his possy mow my front and back lawn. When I look out the window I feel like I live in a wealthy neighborhood with a top of the line artificial turf. My lawn is routinely the nicest on the block, and Jose and his wife's kindness have made me feel like family. read more

They did a great job on a yard clean up for us. They were able to schedule it quickly and it was a fair price.

I sent out a request to have our front yard aerated, nothing more. (We are DIY types and my husband was going to rent the equipment, but then decided it best to hire out for this job.) I quickly received replies from three businesses. Cruz Landscaping replied first, although other businesses followed up quickly as well. They asked for, and I sent, pictures of the lawn to be aerated. Jose's bid for approximately 950 sq ft of lawn came in at $400. That amount was jaw dropping after receiving approximate bids from other businesses, in the $125-$250 range depending on what needed to be done. Again, we only wanted the lawn aerated. We are familiar with what services and goods cost. I don't mind paying for work, but I do mind being gouged. (Ultimately, we found another business who did the work for $50. The work was completed in 30 minutes and done well.) read more

I called them 3x and left a message to start up landscaping biweekly service and not a single call or communication whatsoever! They are a busy company but treated me like number 1. Quick to answer the phone and respond to any questions and that's always important to me when working with a company. We have been using Jose and his crew since March. They show up reliably every week, and I always receive a text the night before reminding me of the upcoming service. While they weren't the cheapest quote we had, their prices are reasonable and the service is worth every penny. They do a thorough job, keep everything trimmed and cleaned up nicely. We are extremely pleased. You might find someone a little bit cheaper, but you'll have a hard time finding someone better. I have called Cruz Landscaping three times without response. They sent a written response to my yelp request but then no contact from that point. I even went out of my way to ensure someone stayed overtime to greet them at our scheduled appointment time and they never showed up.
