You might say that Boodles is the, ahem, jewel in the crown of Liverpool's recent commercial facelift unless, of course, you weren't a fan of bad puns and then you would definitely avoid saying such a thing. Predating the Liverpool One complex by five years the 2003 refurbishment of the city's favourite jewellers made the whole thing look sleek and snazzy, all polished grey stone and plate glass - a look which the new indoors-outdoors shopping centre seems to emulate. Stocking a range of expensive (just as an illustration they have a section on their website headed 'Under £3,500') but breathtaking pendants, bracelets and Patek Phillipe watches as well as, most importantly, custom made diamond rings. If you are thinking of picking out an engagement ring in Liverpool, this is should be your first stop. Even if you're not quite ready to take that particular plunge yet the staff are welcoming and happy to discuss with you what might be best purchase for yourself or loved one.
