As I age, and my janked up knee worsens, and the City puts up barriers for people with mobility issues, I can't always get to my preferred thinking spots in the City's lovely parks. This is a very good substitute with easy parking. We had our wedding reception in Golden Gate Park when we were young and broke. After grilling multiple other garden centers near me, I remembered Flora Grubb, drove across the bridge and rushed to the counter to beg for help. Elena laughed, and like a true medical professional they reviewed every symptom, asked detailed questions about conditions and worked their diagnostic skills, taking me through the magical property introducing me to things I had never considered and double checking the minutiae of size and conditions whenever I expressed doubt. After my first round I found Andee who again offered the same generosity in solving another mystery. The beauty of the plants and the uplifting spirit of both these women were nothing short of healing. As I was ringing out for the second time, I asked about my gardenia and Flora, herself started to laugh - "oh, she won't like it here" she said. When I explained that I wanted to bring a bit of my grandmother into my garden, she smiled and came up with a plan to help me provide the best conditions. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team.
