After doing some research online for a good psychotherapist, I came across this website and decided…read moreto see one of their therapists/psychologists. Unfortunately the therapist I saw was not a good match for me personality wise. She was very literal, empirical and rational in her approach and her means of speaking with you seemed very factual and scientific. For some people that approach works, for me however, I really didn't benefit at all from seeing her. She had a hard time reading me as a client and I really don't feel like we connected. At the end of the day, I wanted empathy, compassion and she lacked feeling. Personality wise I am a bit more on the emotional spiritual side so even though you would think that someone "logical" could balance out with their approach, the whole process came off as un empathetic, misunderstood and it lacked a feeling of warmth and resonance. I think its important for anyone who is looking for a psychotherapist in the future is to know what they are looking for, ask a lot of questions. That was my mistake, I should have inquired more before committing to a practioner. After all it is healing work. Who knows maybe someone who is analytical, scientific, reasonable and empirical will work for you. Just not for me. It would have been nice if she "checked in" every once in a while with me while we were in session. Good customer service is when you don't assume anything about your client and you ask them how they are doing through the process. With that said I don't want to disclose the psychologist/psychotherapists name, because her intentions meant well and i'm sure she may have helped plenty of others that resonated with her. Otherwise on a side note the owner of the company seems to care about your experience which in terms of a foundation for a company shows integrity.

I wish my experience was positive here. I came in for couples counseling and was paired with Jade…read more A lot of people are very happy with her but for my situation, I think she can improve and I hope this gets to her and she learns from it. I spoke about the things my husband at the time had been saying to me which included horrible, negative remarks on how I looked, my intelligence, personality, and even telling me to kill myself. I'll never forget her saying he's "picking on me" because he's not getting attention. This is not picking on someone. This is abuse and it needed to be said. All I needed at that time was for someone to stand up for me and call it what it was and she didn't. Now my ex husband still likely has no idea that he was an abuser. That our marriage fell apart because his words put me into a deep depression and left me with zero self worth. Next time this happens, stand up and call it abuse first and then take the steps to fix it.

i wouldnt recommend this rehab to recovering addict at all they are playing a vey weird mind game…read morethat made my condition even worse . and when i tried to discuss things with their clinical general directors ( reza ) whom mentoind he is been a therapist for around 20 years . agitated me and called me crazy to the point that i had to laeve the treatment and i was scared that they ask for cancellation money so i kept my mouth shot . this is just a tip out of my courage . try to stay away from their staff , directors , pc and sc cause they dont care about you and they are up to sth else , they say everything is "confidential" only between themselves which sound interesting to me . just do your best to focus on you rather thank listening to "fake" and "egotistical" therapists and drs . kind regards my friends stay hard and safe at all time dont let them abuse you and tell you otherwise .

This review is a direct result of our personal experience over the last month with Bellwood…read more I would never, ever recommend this facility no matter how desperate you are to help out a loved one with their mental health struggles. Bellwood is marketed extremely well, but you quickly realize the substance of what is advertised is not delivered, and our son was in nothing but constant crisis while at this facility. They talk about access to the proper healthcare professionals...this did not occur, and as a result our sons condition did not change while in their care, and he chose to leave the facility 3 weeks into the 7 week program as a result. The facility allowed someone in a full mental health crisis to just check out and provided them no medication, no resources and left him to fend for himself...this is an absolute disgrace and is negligent care. I would never expose anyone I love to this facility, as their disorganization, lack of support for clients and terrible communication will surely leave you disappointed despite paying them tens of thousands of dollars to attend their facility. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Ministry of Health about this facility as they should not be allowed to operate.

I took my teen daughter to Broadview psychology for family and individual therapy, and DBT. I also…read moreattended therapy and DBT groups for parents and individuals. We were attending a combined 5 groups a week. I am a single parent. I was a teen when my daughter was born. I have spent more than half my life trying to do what was right for my daughter. We did not fit the typical demographic of the practice. The sessions were being paid for by a remote member of my, very dysfunctional, family. Something was immediately off about our intake, and with Doctor Locke. My concerns were steamrolled. It was the best/only DBT available. So, we went. What followed was a disaster of broken confidentiality, manipulation, triangulation and active destruction by Dr.Locke. She badmouthed every adult member of my family, involved herself with the school without permission, and my daughter became much more volatile towards the family. I genuinely believe that woman to be a sociopath, I believe her goal was power and personal gratification. To the pattern typical of abusive domestic partners. Isolation and control. After months of individual therapy, the first and only time we met for a family session, was for my daughter to read me a coached letter about how she couldn't live with me anymore. There was no reason given. 5 groups a week? How was it a last resort? She moved in with my highly dysfunctional, codependent mother (absolutely no threat. Absolutely no parent. I was basically raised by wolves, that's why I was a teen mom) A few months later my daughter ... well, things didn't go well. I ... didn't take the loss well. It was surreal. It broke me in a way I can't describe. We went to this therapist for help and she took a bad situation and made it so much worse. Our family has not recovered. It will never be the same. I fight the tide to maintain connection. She changes when she is in contact with Dr.Locke. I fear for my daughter's future with the this woman's poison in her ears. And I know I am completely powerless to do more than this review. If I can do anything to prevent this kind of pain being caused another family, it is worth sharing my failure to protect my daughter from this monster. The rest of the practice... well, they let it happen to us, at least, didn't they? Hold your babies tight. No matter how bad it is now, it's worse without them.

One receptionist or administrator tells me they can bill in half hour increments however when inquiring in more details this turns out not to be possible for them. This is only revealed after much inquiry and after initially paying for intake assessment. I was never offered an opportunity for a 15 min interview w the psychologist prior to any billing. I wasted time and money going there for an overpriced, rushed intake assessment at $560 for 1 hour. Unprofessional office. I will not be going through with treatment.
