After our first session I could already tell that she was knowledgable and very easy to talk to. After 3 sessions I can already see a great improvement in my ability to handle stresses and anxieties that now only come up every once in a while. I have not had a panic attack since (and had been having them pretty often before I had come to Irena.) I am a lot less fearful, much happier, less stressed, more confident and so excited for life now. I am so grateful to have met Irena and have learned, through hypnosis, to control my thoughts away from what triggers me and to be able to calm my mind and overcome anxiety if it ever comes up. I cannot thank Irena enough and I would truly recommend Lasting Hypnosis from my heart.

Why I decided to try hypnotherapy…read more For me, hypnotherapy was a low risk high move. I became interested in it after doing a lot of research on the manifestation of trauma in the brain and the body, and I felt like the principles behind hypnotherapy was supported by the modern day science. My experience with Michael Nolan *Disclaimer*: I'm trying to be as transparent as possible, but it's entirely possible that your experience will be completely different than mine. We spent the first hour talking about what I was trying to work on, which was my relationship with my parents. Michael has a very calming presence. We talked about the role of my feelings, the different neurological pathways that impact the way I feel, and how those pathways are shaped by events in early development. It was by far the most helpful one hour lecture on neuroscience I've ever had. Michael combines science with spirituality in a way that completes the picture. In the second hour, I was put into a relaxed state. I usually have trouble relaxing anywhere that's not my bed but I found myself able to relax fully here. We worked on changing my feelings around negative events. Afterwards, we discussed what I felt and Michael gave me recommendations on resources to check out. After the treatment, I remained in a state of blissful relaxation for about a day. However, even when the relaxed state was no longer there and I started feeling the negative feelings again, I was able to recognize the feeling and understand why it was there, which was highly valuable for me. My advice for getting the most out of the experience Everyone's journey to healing is different. As great as the experience was, I don't think you should go into it with the expectation that it is a miracle drug which will solve all your problems but rather think of it as a puzzle piece which helps you gain a better understanding of yourself. In addition, try to be as vulnerable and honest as possible about what you're trying to heal from.

He provides a digital recording of the session that I added to my iPod so I can listen to it over and over - extremely helpful. Andrew is so good that the effects of the session last for a long time. Highly recommended!!

Once you've gone through this process, you are matched with a therapist. Through this process, I was paired with Victoria Cameron. Victoria is a PERFECT fit for me (a mature artist and educator); she is an exceptional listener who always guides our conversations toward meaningful insights with great skill. I am fortunate to have insurance through my workplace, and so have the privilege of being able to take the time required to heal through therapy with this patient, gifted individual. Our appointments are also online, which suits me well. As I do not always have health coverage or sometimes just need to take a breather, Victoria and I sometimes do not speak for several months. When we DO meet again, it is always easy and feels as though my therapist has read her notes! It is important to mention that although the therapy atmosphere is relaxed, we have a strictly professional relationship. I always feel safe and at ease during appointments, and never as though time is wasted. While I understand that we are gently moving toward a time when my need for deep therapy will end, I will always be grateful for the time spent with Victoria Cameron. I give her ALL OF THE STARS.
