It is located next door to the Noyo movie theater on Commercial, just east of the 101(Main Street) in the older part of town. The space/building has high ceilings and is nicely lit for exhibitions and shows, with service elevators in the back - there is a second floor - but the last time I was in the building was still only storage space. Willits Center for the Arts allows for local artists and artisans to get their work out in to the public and it services as a hub for the community artists there to be able to exchange information, events and ideas. Usually two or three, and sometimes more artists/artisans will be on display at an exhibition. It is small but displays a wide variety of art venues from paper construction, photography, painting, natural objects, jewelry and more. The executions are exciting, different and intriguing. If you want unique pieces or want to just browse and get ideas for future home decorating this is the place to go.
