We have lived our current house for 10 years and our pool recently developed a leak (vinyl /…read moreunground). Mark and Rod with Pristine pools came out to discuss the situation and after research we determined that our lining was 25 years old. Way past what is expected. Pristine measured the pool and gave us a quote. They walked us through the steps and costs including letting us know what might be extras. Since this was in December we thought we might be stuck with an ugly pool until the rains stopped in April. Pristine took advantage of the lack of rain in early January. Drained the pool, added a new lining and skimmer and had it ready within a week. And it looks great. No leaks and came in as budgeted. Highly recommend

After the Tubbs Fire wiped us out in 2017, the first order of business before rebuilding the house…read morewas to replace the above-ground pool that Rod at Pristine Pool and Spa had installed 28 years earlier in 1989. It's hard to believe the Doughboy pool he installed lasted us that long! But it did. Truly impressive. We were pretty satisfied customers. We looked up Pristine Pool in Forestville and were thrilled that Rod and his son Mark were still in business. We called and discussed the project, and Rod came over and took some measurements. In no time at all, Rod had a backhoe and crew over to clear the site of fire debris and prepare the area for a bigger, deeper, and way more funner pool than we had before. Four potable water truck deliveries later, the pool was finally filled, and my three dogs were again happy campers. Well, we were too. It took eight weeks from start to finish. Rod coordinated everything needed -- site excavation, surface preparation, pool wall and liner installation, pool filtration, startup, and chemicals. Everything worked out as expected. Our only delay was waiting three weeks for Doughboy to manufacture the 28x16' oval pool liner: a tricky one requiring a significant 7' deep end. But it was worth the wait. Our dogs and visiting company have enjoyed the pool since Pristing Pool installed it. And we have had absolutely no issues with anything at all. Interestingly, Pristine Pool and Spa do more than just install pools; they also repair them. Early one spring morning in 2022, a large mature Doe and her newborn Fawn decided to go swimming in the pool. The Doe managed to get herself out, but not before poking a few invisible holes somewhere in the liner, causing a slow leak in need of repair. We called Pristine Pool for advice, and Ron advised that his son, Mark, provided leak detection and repair services. How lucky was that? Mark arrived a few days later. It was April, and the pool water bore winter's comforting chill still. Nonetheless, Mark donned a wetsuit and some diving gear, jumped in, and within 15 minutes, managed to find a collection of virtually invisible holes in the floor and sides of the pool liner, which he patched and immediately stopped the pool from losing water further. Cost? Less than a fancy dinner for two up. We were stoked! The company and its owners, Rod and Mark, have proved and continue to remain trustworthy, skilled, and high-quality craftsmen who take pride in their work and that of their employees and care genuinely for their customers. Thank you for your many years of devotion to your craft and dedication to service. We were lucky to find Pristine Pools 34 years ago. And we were so fortunate to find you again in 2018, alive and still kicking business! Friends have asked us for referrals. You and Pristine Pool and Spa in Forestville are the only ones on our list. Best wishes for many years of continued success. E&J

We contracted with Don Daniels to form, pour and finish the concrete slab for our Mendocino County…read morehouse. We had some tight specifications, as the slab was designed to be dual reinforced for earthquake resistance and we framed with a factory built steel framed structure with tolerances of 1/8" or less over ten feet. Don and his crew arrived early each morning and quickly finished a top quality form and expertly placed and tied the rebar and wire mesh to my specifications. We had to delay the pour twice - once due to the concrete contractor not receiving their shipment of cement and a second time due to unexpected rain. Don graciously understood and arranged his schedule around the planned pours. This was a challenging pour that started early in the morning and extended to nightfall as it was a monolithic slab and footing. Don had an ample crew on site and they completed an extremely level slab. Later when my wife and I installed the tile floors, We had very few low or high spots and Don had cut the expansion joints precisely at locations which ended up exactly next to the interior walls which I really appreciated as the control joints will not harm the tile surfaces. I had Don return a year later after we had finished the house to pour a concrete patio and finish it with a colored and stamped pattern. We are extremely pleased with the result - its beautiful and complements the slate tile pattern of our great room.

We hired Pat back in March/early April for drywall repair due to mold, minor roof repairs, and…read moreconcrete work for the yard. He was nice and came out the same day as the request for an estimate. The contract was signed shortly after. He even worked w my insurance to provide the right verbiage on the contract, which was appreciated. It has really been a mess since. The work was initially planned to start in "two weeks tops". A week before the "start" date, we provided close to a 30% deposit, as requested. I didn't realize there is a state limit to what a contractor should request (10%) before starting work, so putting out that much money initially was my mistake. The work was going to start the following week, so no big deal right? Huge problem... When no one showed up to start work, I assumed they got behind. We live quite far from the business location. I reached out at the end of April, early May, end of May, and each time was told it would be another 2-3 weeks before they could come out. I reach out the end of June, and at that time, he was unable to give us a start date. I finally gave him the option to pick a start date, cut the project down to a more manageable size, or just cancel the contract and return the deposit. He took the latter option. Well, it's been months now since we cancelled the contract, and he still owes 30% of the deposit we put down. We are well past the 10 day window for a contractor to return the deposit... with lots of excuses for the delay. Now, he is no longer replying to my attempts to reach out. Although I am unable to provide feedback on the actual work he provides, with everything we have gone through the last half a year, I feel this 1 star review is absolutely warranted.

He is a scammer with no ethical character, and I hope that no one else has to go through the pain that I have by working with him. If you do work with him, have a lawyer look at everything. It's so sad that people like this exist in the world.
