thank you Andertons! I was searching for a specific music rest and pedal suited to the model of my…read moreelectronic keyboard. I was unable to find them in the US, when my search turned up UK-based Andertons. I phoned the store to clarify some questions about the gear and with the thorough help of Brad, was able to find the exact models I needed. I was planning to have the items shipped to a friend who lives in the UK and then have her ship them to me in CA. however, this was going to cost more, and thanks to Brad's insight, I was able to locate the items more locally. in spite of the fact that I went with the more local route, I still wanted to post this review because: a) the shop appears to be well-stocked with diverse products, b) their customer service was stellar and their knowledge, on point. I would most definitely shop here if I lived closer and hope to visit one day. I recommend Andertons to anyone who's into music and lives in the area to check them out (or shop their online catalogue).

I ordered a left-hand Taylor GS Mini Guitar from this establishment and it was sent promptly and…read morereceived in good condition without damage. However the guitar I received is not even close to being new. It has been out of the box for a very long time (as evidenced by how dry it is and the lack of any semblance of residual odor from the glues and coatings). The gig bag is creased, rumpled, and also has picked up some bad odors and is also completely devoid of any indication that this is a new or even recently opened item. I own three other Taylor guitars actually purchased new from other on-line merchants. They ordered the item from Taylor, received it, checked it, and the forwarded it to me. Not so in this case. It's fairly clear that they boxed up a a display/demo from their shop and sold it to me at full market price as a "new" item when it clearly isn't Given that they operate their shop with the door open (evidenced by their own pictures on their website) with a large number of acoustic guitars in immediate proximity to the door, it betrays a cavalier attitude toward taking care of what they sell. The evident dry state of the guitar I was sent is further proof of that. Needless to say it won't be returned. I've read the reviews form others on G+ and else where regarding how they handle customer service issues (or actively avoid handling them). I consider myself fooled again, duped again, and I won't order from them in the future. I've received similar service from Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and others who have store front locations. It seems they use the online supply chain to dump old product and shop worn things hoping they won't be returned. We'll I won't bother. I'll just re-sell it with an honest description. What will I find out out if I contact Taylor with the serial number? That it was produced in 2013, 2012, 2014 perhaps? Stay tuned. I am going to find out.
