I completely understand policies, but a small amount of flexibility in this situation would have made a big difference. Came for my first tattoo removal session today. I was greeted immediately by the gals at the front…read moredesk. Had a small wait time in their bright lobby as my room was being prepared. The treatment room was clean and set up and very cool, I'm guessing for the lasers. The numbing cream was applied to the two areas. Then we waited. The Hubster was with me. I had the best nurse...Nurse Angela. She walked me through the procedure, what to expect, and what to do if I wanted or needed a break. Handed both us protective eyewear, then the zapping began. We started with the back of my neck and the blast of cold air was a bit shocking, but the actual zapping from the laser itself...surprisingly easy! On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this area at a level 2. Nurse Angela worked quickly and efficiently. No stopping needed. On to the next location. I feared this was going to be VERY painful as the tattooing process was...but Nurse Angela once again worked quickly. Although I did feel the laser more here, it was only a 3.5-4 on the pain level. Then both locations were salved and bandaged up. Out to the friendly front desk we went, next appointment made and off to grab our dinner. Correcting the S-shaped deviation, as her nose noticeably shifted to the left when viewed straight on. 3. Narrowing and refining the tip/nostril area to create a thinner appearance. Of these three objectives, only the first appears to have been achieved. The bump visible from her profile has been successfully addressed, and we appreciate that improvement. However, the other two concerns remain unresolved. Rather than correcting the deviation, her nose now appears to shift to the right when viewed straight on. Additionally, the tip and nostril area do not appear any narrower or more refined than before the procedure.

Dr Kauffman does the real ablative C02, so recovery is long, post care is a must and the payoff is…read moreso worth it. The quality of my skin dramatically improved. I had the C02 done in combination with other procedures, so I got a discount from his regular price of $4800 to $4560 in March 2025. I almost didn't do the procedure because I was already really close to the top of my budget for my other procedures but decided to go for it. The price included 2 post op facials to help with healing. Dr Kauffman certainly had one of the best bed side manners of any MD I've ever worked with. Friendly, patient, humorous. He does the procedures in his building located just off the prairie city exit off highway 50. When I awoke, my face felt like fire. It burned and I was miserable. It dissipated in about 2 hours and then zero pain at all. I did the vinegar soaks every 2 hours for about 5 days. It sounds weird, but I looked forward to them. It helped soothe the dry tight skin and clean up the aquaphor so I could reapply. The aquaphor helps protect the skin during healing but it slides around and got into my eyes occasionally (annoying but not painful) and the vinegar soaks helped keep things cleaned up. The skin was super delicate and peeled and peeled. I went back to work on day 10 and could not wear makeup because my texture was still a mess. My skin was also red still. I was able to start wearing tinted sunscreen at about 2 weeks. My face had red laser "track marks" for months. Then about 4 months after, the glow started. People started noticing and commenting. I noticed the quality of my skin transformed. It became smoother with rough patches gone, fine lines improved, sun spots gone, and my under eye hollows were gone. I'm now almost 16 months post and my skin still looks amazing. Strangers comment on my skin at least weekly and people ask me my secret. I'm so glad I splurged and that Dr Kauffman was aggressive with the laser. If you're going to get it done, I say go for it. I had to trust the process, because I'd read other women's journeys and no one talked about lasting redness and track marks but they probably didn't get ablative like Dr Kauffman . My inner voice was paranoid that my redness would never go away. But ultimately it disappeared and all that was left was gorgeous skin. Definitely recommend ablative C02. If you're going to do it, go for the real deal. Take the time off work and get the good 100% ablative C02, none of that fractional type or types where practitioners say "little downtime". The real deal has downtime and it was worth for me.

Unfortunately, after completing the entire package, my acne scars and skin texture showed absolutely no noticeable improvement at all. While the staff might be friendly, investing a significant amount based on promises of improvement only for the treatment to yield zero results is deeply frustrating.
