This is a great place to get a unique coffee! Stopped in here to get a quick pick-me-up from a fun night prior, and they have your basic coffee styles to choose from but it's their syrups that really sealed the deal for us. This is a nice little coffee shop inside of the Omni Resort Nashville. Extremely spacious and plenty of space for us business travels to sit and work while sipping our coffee, and plenty comfier options like the couches for a more relaxing visit. Everything was Halloween decorated, including the specialty menu. I ordered the Five Points - Espresso, Caramel, Chocolate, and Milk. Perfectly sweet and not bitter at all. Now to the good part! Bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit. The bacon was amazing. I wanted to order more bacon by itself. Really good. Two drinks today iced chai, and the Broadway. Not a fan of the chai, tasted very medicine like. The broadway wasn't as flavorful as the ingredient list. Not bad, just seems like it could have more of a flavor boost. We visited Bongo Java for coffee twice throughout our weekend. The space is warm and welcoming, like the friendly staff. There's ample seating available both indoors and on their spacious patio. It's perfect for meetups or solo work. The menu features a variety of options including coffee, tea, pastries, and more. During both visits, I opted for my go-to: an oat milk latte with cinnamon and honey, while my husband enjoyed an americano. The latte was great, with a nice balance of honey and cinnamon. On my walk from the hotel I was in to the convention center, I found bongo Java. Needed my iced coffee in 90 degree heat that wasn't convention center coffee lol. Super friendly staff! As we waited for lunch reservations, we dipped into Bongo Java and wasn't disappointed. The staff was friendly and took the time to recommend us some drinks to try. My husband ended up getting the hot cider even though it was hot outside, but to each their own haha. He absolutely loved it! I got an iced almond milk latte with two pumps of vanilla. Seemingly regardless of time of day, a line was consistently present, but always moved quickly. The West End latte is a featured specialty drink - made with cinnamon and honey. Order this! The pre-made sandwiches are also very good, fresh, and generously portioned. Finally, there is a nice seating area to enjoy your food, drink, and company! I will definitely seek out Bongo Java on my next visit for their memorably delicious latte! read more

Just an Americano guy and for the most part pretty good except one day where they totally gave me a drip coffee or something and it was noticeably terrible. Can't blame a place for having a bad day. COVID Review... Located inside the Omni Hotel this breakfast bar/ cafe has all you need for quick morning bite or a caffeine boost to start your day. Bonus, there's a street entrance so you don't have to go through the hotel access the cafe. Even in the middle of a pandemic this location is still has a full menu. I went with the vegan friendly impossible breakfast burrito with vegan chorizo and "eggs". This burrito was not pretty to look at, but it was delicious, spicy and a good size! I also got a iced coffee as they were out of cold brew. The iced coffee was a little weak, but got me through most of the morning. The whole place is COVID ready, with 6ft markers on the floor, wear your mask signs and socially distance signs on all the seating. They also offer dine-in eating with 50% capacity. Unfortunately, they don't require people to wear masks inside. I saw a few guests come in mask-less and the person behind the counter said nothing. read more

My experience may be dependent on barista, but for a sweet drink, The Broadway is remarkably well-proportioned, served very hot, and very well-foamed. The GF banana nut choc muffin was good. It started life as a nice, thick, flavorful slice of pork belly and ended up as a blackened, charred crisp so lacking in identity that it may be devoid of DNA and only identifiable by the folded shape it left behind. C'mon man. For the ten bucks I paid for it inside the swanky Omni Hotel, y'all can do better. This Bongo Java is located in the Omni hotel. I was meeting a tour base nearby and decide to get myself something for the morning drive. I decided on a double-shot espresso which took about 3-4 minutes to make. Well it took 30 seconds, but the barista was talking to every other customer so it sat there for about 60 seconds before it I finally got it. The espresso shot was sour, which to me is odd as I have had these types of shots before and normally they are bitter and strong. I could only take a few sips and had to throw it out. The customer service was great, friendly and they love to talk. That is not always a bad thing, but your interaction with customers should never interfere with completing someone's drink and making them wait. read more

Located across the street from our hotel, in the lobby of some office tower. Great selection of coffees but I also wanted breakfast. They offered a wide selection of build your own sandwiches. I had a biscuit with cheese, sausage patty and egg. Unlike a McDonalds version, this was edible. The biscuit was small and quite dry...better used with gravy but, in my case, it was decent enough. The sausage was excellent but the egg was over cooked. Being that was the only breakfast close to the hotel and the coffee and service was excellent, I'll give them a generous 4th star. read more

Not terrible, not the greatest. I got the Oompa Loompa latte, it's supposed to have hints of orange, pine, and cardamom. Unfortunately my latte just tasted like a regular latte, nothing special either. I wouldn't come back or go out of my way for this place, but it was good for what I needed at the time. During a recent concert visit to Nashville and Bridgestone Arena, and waking with a much needed coffee infusion, we traveled over to the Omni hotel and the Bongo Java. The music is welcoming and the large front windows enticing, providing the perfect morning jolt of sunshine to wake us up. A nice selection of seasonal offerings was available to choose from. We opted for the "Mary", a latte with a hint of cayenne, maple and brown sugar. The coffee was well prepared, not burnt and quite tasty. Our hesitation to provide additional stars was due to the unkept tables and either overworked or less-than-interested baristas. The prompting for our visit was "engaged baristas". As home brewers, anxious for a great local conversation about the local coffee scene, that was not our experience. Despite the lack of engagement, we would recommend a pop in for a great cup of your favorite drink. read more

Great central location and connected to the Omni! If you don't know it's there, it's easy to pass. Love that it's available for those not staying at the Omni as well. The interior is clean and classy; it has plenty of seating and room, plus ample outlets. The food options were limited, but make for easy grab and go. My friends and I ordered their lattes and although they were good, they definitely skimped on the flavoring as only 1 of us could really taste what was supposed to be in it. I'm a huge fan of bongo coffee/beans, so getting a coffee is always a safe choice. This downtown location is good, but could definitely improve on quality of food and creation of drinks. read more

It was absolutely delish!!!!!!! However for a little over $5.00 I would have excepted to have gotten a larger cup. This drink was so good despite the no price and small cup, I totally went back at lunch for another!!!! Soooo.... I guess you can say, I've drank their kool aid! Let's face it, most of us suck in the morning especially before we slurp down that first hit of caffeinated happiness. Do know what doesn't suck? This place. Staff is great. Coffee is good. Service was fast. I was clumsy. My coffee decorated table and floor gloriously. These fine people jumped into action diving over counter with towels in hand like superheroes (exaggerating a little now) and quickly offered to fix me a new drink without making me feel like an idiot for spilling everything everywhere all at once....that was good too. Thanks to this staff for directing me to some awesome places around town to check out like Monell's (freaking amazing)!! read more
