Well, I had seen this place around, so I thought that it might be cool to visit it. Yeah, it turned out to be pretty good, certainly much better than a lot of the other fast food places I'd visited, but then again it does happen to be an independent burger joint. Yeah, I liked it.

The cute little burger bar has a funky interior to offset the seedy surrounds and a menu with a great range of choices for lunch and dinner (if you dare to come after dark..!) Today I ordered the Cheese Banga and a side of #tags (a variation on chips, deep fried pieces of potato in the shape of a # symbol). I was impressed by the quick and friendly service and when my burger hit the table I was impressed by its size - at only $8, (plus $4 for the #tags) it certainly was worth the price! The enormous pattie went right to the edges of the well sized bun and the first bite of the burger was delicious - cheesy, saucey and yummy! I did notice that the pattie itself was a bit bland however it was redeemed with the addition of flavours from the sauces. The accompanying #tags were a nice difference to chips and I loved how crispy they were however they were pretty greasy and could have done with some kind of interesting seasoning... I think I'll certainly be back - and hopefully they start to get a bit creative with the burger patties to push the review up to a five star!

I absolutely loved the pulled pork, thought it was the winner out of the meats, and it went so well with the apple slaw. The mac n cheese was great, but serving sizes for the sides were a bit small (I ate 4 'serves' of mac n cheese and could easily have eaten more). The potato tots were salty and crispy and tasted great with the blue cheese dipping sauce. I absolutely hate blue cheese, but this sauce was great. The only disappointment for me was the beef brisket. It tasted nice but hadn't been cooked long enough so the fat hadn't broken down properly. Not a huge deal though as I was happy to keep going back to that delicious pulled pork. The staff were really great and the store itself had a really good vibe. If you're thinking of going I have two pieces of advice for you: 1. Book a table! They are really busy so you'll probably miss out if you don't book 2. Go as soon as they open! They only cook a certain amount of each item and sell out quite regularly. My husband went there once at 7pm and they'd already sold out of the beef brisket (they have a count on the wall that tells you how many of each are still available that night).

Nordburger does breakfast!?! Say whaaa???…read more So I just wanna say that the words of this review is based purely on the breakky experience, but the stars apply across the board. In short, the breakky offerings at Nordburger are like Maccas... But made with delicious and quality ingredients. The English muffins are stunning... Clearly made fresh and local, they are the right combination of soft, chewy and springy. They are then stuffed with your selection... sausage, bacon, eggs... fried fritz! With this there are lashings of mayo, cheese and sauce. My bacon and egg muffin was dripping with the stuff... And I loved it! The other breakky option is waffles, served with berry sauce or maple syrup... Or on weekends only FRIED CHICKEN AND MAPLE! Yum! The chicken is generously served and oh so succulent. The only criticism is that there is no where near enough maple syrup on those babies. Breakfast also comes with standard sides available to order... You can get a serve of hash browns for $1.50. The thing that I think will prevent this from becoming a staple breakfast haunt for some folks is the fact that they only serve American drip coffee. Sure it may be a novelty, and at 95cents it's certainly cheap. But I need a good ol espresso or latte to kick start my day. Maybe I'll just settle for the sugar hit and go all out with a thick and rich Nordburger shake. Mmm...

Cute little place, perfect amount of seating, good prices, I decided I was epicly hungry, so I ordered the Berenburger, which was a beef patty, beetroot, egg, bacon and heck knows what other goodness but it was huge, I need spice so added chipotle to my burger. Sweet potato fries with aioli always a must anywhere on the side... Then my epic burger arrived, half way through eating it I realised the chipotle chilli's were actually sundried chipotles, they were the tastiest mini mouth explosion ever. It made the whole burger. The meat was not over cooked, no gristle, no junk, it was smooth and full of flavour. The only reason i removed one star is because when a franchise or a business has another location the other location should match in quality and a week after visiting this site i needed my hit and went to the Magill one and things just weren't the same. Final note: If there is a chilli option, no matter what it is, hot sauce, chilli's whatever, always opt to add it!

We found out that the previous owners told the new buyers how to continue the legacy and they taught well. The battered King George was crispy and cooked to perfection. Please note that you are paying extra for quality bites here and like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears size does matter... No wait, portion control is important... Well just order more than you think of everything except sides. $8.50 per piece of King George Whiting fried + 50c to have it done grilled in lemon pepper dressing isn't quite the cheap Sunday night takeaway we were expecting. However, the fish was incredibly well cooked (still tender) and seasoned with a tangy oregano and lemon pepper dressing. I also enjoyed the juiciest lemon pepper calamari rings but order double what you think you can handle as when they're not battered they are only half size. Chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and a small serving is plenty for 2. The service is incredibly quick and friendly, they even know the locals by the first name. The shop doesn't have that caked in 30 years of grease feel and is clean with a well laid out menu. This would have to be one of Adelaide's best and hidden F&C shops. Walk an extra block away from the beach and hop, skip and jump your way back to enjoy fish you'll think was freshly caught from the sea that day.
