The cute little burger bar has a funky interior to offset the seedy surrounds and a menu with a great range of choices for lunch and dinner (if you dare to come after dark..!) Today I ordered the Cheese Banga and a side of #tags (a variation on chips, deep fried pieces of potato in the shape of a # symbol). I was impressed by the quick and friendly service and when my burger hit the table I was impressed by its size - at only $8, (plus $4 for the #tags) it certainly was worth the price! The enormous pattie went right to the edges of the well sized bun and the first bite of the burger was delicious - cheesy, saucey and yummy! I did notice that the pattie itself was a bit bland however it was redeemed with the addition of flavours from the sauces. The accompanying #tags were a nice difference to chips and I loved how crispy they were however they were pretty greasy and could have done with some kind of interesting seasoning... I think I'll certainly be back - and hopefully they start to get a bit creative with the burger patties to push the review up to a five star!

It is definitely the best burger you will find near its location, which is ultimately the best thing about it. I live five minutes down the road but until tonight have never set foot inside this attractive little Burger Bar. I was on my way home from work after a big day and was in desperate need of a burger. My burger was served to me within ten minutes and the patty itself was cooked to perfection. It's hard to find a burger place in Adelaide that doesn't cook their burgers well done or blackened. The burger was unfortunately overloaded with rocket, the bun was not toasted which made the bread soggy really fast and the onion jam drowned out the other flavours. The chips on the other hand were greatly crisp and weren't too fatty or salty. All around, I wasn't disappointed with my meal, but compared to some of the amazing burger places in Adelaide Barry's Burgers can't stack up. I can see myself spending a lot of time here in summer because of its convenient beach location, even if they aren't the best burgers in town.

The potato tots were salty and crispy and tasted great with the blue cheese dipping sauce. I absolutely hate blue cheese, but this sauce was great. The only disappointment for me was the beef brisket. It tasted nice but hadn't been cooked long enough so the fat hadn't broken down properly. Not a huge deal though as I was happy to keep going back to that delicious pulled pork. The staff were really great and the store itself had a really good vibe. If you're thinking of going I have two pieces of advice for you: 1. Book a table! They are really busy so you'll probably miss out if you don't book 2. Go as soon as they open! They only cook a certain amount of each item and sell out quite regularly. My husband went there once at 7pm and they'd already sold out of the beef brisket (they have a count on the wall that tells you how many of each are still available that night).

Having grown up in the UK and enjoyed real ale for many years through CAMRA and such like it's disappointing that a new venue like this should charge $12 for a "pint" of beer for this can be best described as a metric pint, aka 375ml, whereas an imperial pint is about 550ml. In the UK you would pay around 4 pound for a 550ml pint of real ale - which is about $9. Why then do we have to be ripped off like this at the Big Shed - especially on opening day where you would think at least they would be offering specials. Shame on you - it's pure profiteering!

In short, the breakky offerings at Nordburger are like Maccas... But made with delicious and quality ingredients. The English muffins are stunning... Clearly made fresh and local, they are the right combination of soft, chewy and springy. They are then stuffed with your selection... sausage, bacon, eggs... fried fritz! With this there are lashings of mayo, cheese and sauce. My bacon and egg muffin was dripping with the stuff... And I loved it! The other breakky option is waffles, served with berry sauce or maple syrup... Or on weekends only FRIED CHICKEN AND MAPLE! Yum! The chicken is generously served and oh so succulent. The only criticism is that there is no where near enough maple syrup on those babies. Breakfast also comes with standard sides available to order... You can get a serve of hash browns for $1.50. Not oily, not skinny or floppy, not overcooked. Their chicken comes rubbed in their own herb/lemon rub unlike many other places.
