Called to make a reservation for a girlfriend's 60th birthday, tried to set up a little surprise beforehand, the rudest hostess I have ever encountered said to me, well it can't be guaranteed and you have to remind us when you get here?? Great place to stop for a late dinner and spritz. We decided to sit at the bar and the bartender couldn't have been more accommodating and tolerating of the new friend we met at the mall. She raved about the bartender and the bar service from multiple visits and so, we walked over to BF to chat a bit and orders some drinks. First she ordered the Mac and cheese, didn't like it, ordered something else, too and the whole time this bartender went above and beyond to make her happy, graciously replacing this for that and smiling throughout. we have dined here a few times and the lobster gnocchi and bang bang shrimp are our go to choices. Our second time here. We got there before 5 on a Monday and the place was settled and seating was easy. I asked for my steak *medium* and it came out rather rare. The waitress asked me to cut into it and we agreed it wasn't medium so it went back. It came out and was still really red and it went back again and this time the manager became involved. It came out a third time and it was acceptable but by now my other food was nearly finished as well as my wife's who had two lobster tails and needed to be eaten not at room temperature. They also have a gluten free menu with a nice set of entrees so that's always a plus in my book. My mom and I stopped in this very busy location on Black Friday of all days! We were pleasantly surprised that we got a table quickly and service was prompt. We both had salads, hers was the salmon and I had the Cobb with shrimp. I honestly do not enjoy eating shrimp but the bang bang shrimp is the best thing on the menu and the perfect appetizer. I almost always get the Lily's chicken and for good reason. The combination of artichoke and goat cheese on the chicken is delicious. I've tried the crab cakes, which are also worth getting! Lastly, the bar is great here. It's spicy and creamy and crispy without being too heavy. It's too too good-- craveable, and really the reason why we turned off the road and into the parking lot the minute my husband said, "There's a Bonefish over there!" Bonefish is a chain but still has a range of high-quality dishes and doesn't feel cookie cutter and corporate. This time, I ordered a new menu item, the grilled salmon superfood salad. It was incredibly filling and so tasty-- the perfect lunch order. Our server was friendly and attentive, anticipated our needs by bringing us Diet Coke refills as soon as we finished our first glasses-- which is really the way to win my heart! I have eaten here many many times over the years. First off, the staff has always been so warm and friendly. They do a great job hiring personable people and training them. I've never gotten poor service. I tend to order the same things over and over again because they are SO good - my seafood entrees always come out perfectly done. I come with friends and they also have their particular favorites. From time to time we'll try the staff-recommended specials and they are almost always winners. This was my first time trying this chain and it probably will be my last. While the good quality was 5/5, the taste was 3/5, and service on a Sunday afternoon a solid 2/5. I ordered the grilled ahi tuna steak off of the dinner menu during their lunch time hours and enjoyed it. Their sides are subpar, and their "premium" side of asparagus tastes liked canned boiled mush. Their bang bang shrimp doesn't have much flavor either, just a bunch of sirracha mayo and not an ounce of seasoning. If you love bland seafood, this is your place! read more
