Louie your drinks are top notch year after year. Valentina you're such a pleasure everytime you serve us (even with our dietary restrictions) both of you are simply amazing and will go far. You can not go wrong with the crab cakes, truth be told next time we'll order them "well". I've had almost everything on the menu. Sirloin and filet are always a favorite, always prepared perfectly. The salmon always has a crisp finish but delicately medium inside. James was our delightful server. During our visit we had the Imperial Dip, 8oz Filet Mignon with sautéed spinach and the Pecan Crusted Trout with the Bacon Mac & cheese and Broccoli. James recommended the Pecan Crusted Trout and it was amazing. Late night cravings brought us to Bonefish. Usually we have great seats but it wasn't busy and for some reason the hostess thought we wanted to sit by the bathroom. No thanks- Food was good. Almost every time my family comes to visit, my dad suggests that we head to Bonefish (especially for a Wednesday Bang Bang $6 Shrimp night). This location has been around for quite a few years and I have visited multiple times. I've never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and served hot. Of course, I would recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp. Little known fact: they also serve Bang Bang Chicken which is even more delicious!! I've had the Salmon, Tilapia and most recently the Bonefish Cobb Salad with Shrimp. The salad was awesome!! They have many options for healthier eating as well. The prices can add up quickly which is my only woe. You do get a bread basket with oil for dipping at the beginning of your meal which is a plus. The setting is dark and intimate and the restaurant is very clean. Friendly staff and good drink selection. Happy hour seems like a great deal. We haven't been here in a while and now I remember why. Now, before I get all "grumpy old man" on you, let me just say that I love Bonefish restaurants. It's more of a problem with this one. The waitress we had was great, and was amazingly attentive throughout the entire process. The problem was with the quality of the food. Had we been there to hang out with her, I would be giving 5 stars. But sadly, we were not. We were there for dinner and it was pretty bad. My son ordered noodles with butter. He basically eats almost nothing so just be happy that he was willing to actually eat something. His noodles came out as one large clump of noodles stuck together. So, that was sent back. Next my mother in law ordered tuna steak which was way over cooked and the spinach was too salty. So that went back. My wife and I had green beans with ours and they were swimming in oil or something. Not only did they not taste very good, but you had to drain each one before eating it. My salmon was a tiny piece even though I ordered the large which was a little depressing. Especially since I'm doing this Whole30 diet and I'm starving all the time. At this point, there was a pretty solid reason for sending every one of our meals back but we didn't because we were all starving and just wanted to get on with our lives. So, should you go to Bonefish? Yes. Should it be this one? Probably not. read more

I have been here a handful of times before, but before this last visit, it has been a while. The male and female waiter/waitress that we had were always very helpful, and pleasant. I met one of the managers who is very helpful, and suggested the Side Car with Mango twist, and I loved it. Here's a list of must tries. Honestly, it's just everything we have tried recently: Lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi - This is so good and moist, and I love the lobster chunks. Wish there were more of course. Next time I may ask for sauce on the side. Fontina Chop - Pork Marsala with mushrooms, and the sauce is perfect. Crab and Corn Bisque Soup - so good and tasty. Espresso Martini - the sugar and lemon like rim makes this martini stand out from others. Went for dinner last night to our local Bonefish. I always love to go there for the fresh fish!! Wine was good, bread was yummy, my grouper was extremely good. My hubby ordered the Mahi and Shrimp with no special sauce (which made it kind of look dry but he had no complaints). I love the ambiance here. Everything was great but I just wish they had better desserts!! The special dessert of the day was carrot cake (my least favorite). We did order the macadamia nut brown with ice cream. It was good and got my sweet tooth going. I miss their creme brûlée.....and coconut pie. Two of my all time favs. They were training a lot of new staff. Craving seafood all day decided to go to Bonefish for dinner last night. Started out with the Bang Bang Shrimp, which was incredible as always. I ordered the Salmon an could not decide which sauce I wanted so our wonderful sever Austin said he would bring me each one to try, and said life is too short to live with just one. So glad he did because my favorite ended up being one I would not have chosen. My husband was not pleased with his ceasar salad (he is picky likes them super green) and put it aside, and Austin not only noticed but took the extra surcharge off the price and offered a new side. Little things like this go a long way to me. Austin was excellent, probably some of the best service we have ever had. His kindess, especially in days like this where the world isn't especially nice was a wonderful thing. Bonefish going above and beyond with social distancing requirements making us feel totally comfortable eating there. It was a nice break from a mean world and so appreciated. read more

We are Bonefish Grill fans, but not this location. Made a reservation and was asked about any special occasion. Told them its our 26th anniversary. We were greeted with a happy anniversary from host, but nothing else. (Other locations gave us chocolate strawberries after dinner) why ask if there is nothing special? Anyway, took awhile for waiter to come. He was friendly and took our drink order. I could see our drinks sitting on the bar for over 10 minutes. I almost went to get them myself. Finally we flagged him down to ask, since our bang bang shrimp came (from another server) while drinks sat there dying. He apologized and got the drinks. Dinner came from yet another server, not ours. My hubby had to grab him to get a second drink. When I asked for to go container, he dropped the check. Another wait to leave because he took forever to take the payment. As we leave out the side door, him, possibly a manager, and another man all blocking the door shooting the shit. The host while passing by, wished us a happy anniversary as walked out, and the manager asked who our server was. The server piped up it was him, they shrugged their shoulders, and said nothing. This location is nothing special. Waiter said he came from Trinity 10 days ago, but not attentive and not efficient. By the time we were leaving, it was only half full of patrons, so no excuse for slow service. We really should have given him a crappy tip because he did not earn it, but we didnt. We will make sure to spend our special days somewhere else than this Bonefish location. You can have great food, but a slow inattentive server can make you take your money elsewhere. read more

This is a solid 3.5 in my book. The food was okay. Every Bonefish I've been to is fairly consistent in quality. I had the Grilled Ahi Tuna, seared rare, with the pan asian sauce. It was sauced a little too heavily in my opinion, so I had to scrape some off. This comes with 2 sides. I ordered the sauteed spinach and also got the premium side, Macaroni and Cheese. HOLY MOLY! An upcharge of $4.50 for this. Flat out, not worth it. It was mac and cheese, pretty bland, very thinly sliced mushrooms throughout, and even the breadcrumbs lacked seasoning. I was shocked they would even consider charging that to substitute out a regular side item for this! My fault for not noticing prior to ordering, but I definitely felt the value for the quality wasn't there. My friend had the Grilled Salmon with a salad and grilled asparagus for her sides. Again, a $3.50 upcharge to substitute asparagus for one of her sides - and not even a lot of asparagus. She wasn't impressed by the salmon, feeling like it wasn't cooked well nor enough seasoning. Dessert was the saving grace of the evening. We had the Berry Bread Pudding. Nice and warm, with fresh fruit, ice cream and whipped cream. This was delish! Haven't been to Bonefish in probably a year, so when I saw the signage throughout saying they had a New Look, I was expecting a big change. We come here pretty often. I'm finally reviewing because management needs to know what a gem they have in their server Tiffany! 5 stars to her service alone! So friendly, so attentive. She also knew the menu well and her suggestions aided us in making two terrific selection for dinner. Husband had one of the specials called wolffish, which had a texture similar to lobster. It was really good! My Cobia Picatta with shrimp was light and delicious! Excellent Dirty Martini, I'll need to come back on a Monday when they are only $5! Had dinner there last week and had the worst experience ever in restaurant. My family and I had waited so long to get our food that it was about an hour. My wife and I are very patient so we waited but then after an hour we spoke to a manager and the gentleman said it's because were busy it shouldn't be much longer and then he calmly walked away as if our problem wasn't his meanwhile we had two kids with us that were about as cranky as you can imagine from sitting there for an hour smelling food when they were starving so we left. Whether it's ordering for carside carry out or eating in house, they display characteristics of laziness and lack of commitment to good experience. My takeout order consisted of Filet Mignon, Lily's chicken and a burger as well as bang bang shrimp. We requested chimmichuri and bread on the side, and we requested our red meat to be cooked medium. We received cold fries with our burger , no chimmichuri, and overdone steak, and the cut was NOT filet. After spending $70 on a meal, we received fast food quality. The staff always give different information when we phone in, and they are never on the same page, for example, one employee directed me to download an app to place an online order, while another stated that there's no way to place online orders for that specific location. In house. we ordered an old fashioned that was not mixed to standard. No cherry and too much bitters. The fish and chips were overdone and drenched in oil, as though sitting in the fryer basket too long. Overall, we just wish we would get the quality we are used to expecting for bonefish, however it seems we will have to explore other local businesses at this time. read more

Bonefish knocked it out of the park for our first dining experience after restaurants were allowed to open for dine-in during Coronavirus. We celebrated my birthday and it could not have been a better experience. The restaurant was extremely clean and we were seated at appropriate distances from other. I had family in town and they wanted a place for all of us to have dinner. The only nearby restaurant that accommodate us was Bonefish Grill. I haven't been to this restaurant in a while and could not remember what their menu was like besides the famous bang bang shrimp. My guest enjoyed all the meals and ordered multiple times the bang bang shrimp. They made us a chocolate martini and apple martini which was so good. Our meals were so good. We had the Sea Scallops + Shrimp, the fresh catch of snapper and two Cold Water Lobster Tails. Our meals were so good and everyone enjoyed their meals and of course the company. After a recent business meeting in New Tampa, I was searching for someplace to have lunch. I'm not often in this part of far northern Hillsborough / southern Pasco Counties, and so there are a number of places that I've not yet tried. As I drove north up Bruce B. Downs Boulevard I spotted a Bonefish Grill off on the right side of the road, and decided to stop there for lunch. You'll find this Bonefish just south of S.R. 56, in a little strip mall facing Bruce B Downs. In full disclosure, many of the Tampa Bay Yelpers attended an awesome event at the Bonefish Grill in South Tampa a few weeks ago, and we were given gift cards to use at their restaurants. Free seafood for lunch? Yes, please! Bonefish is known for their outstanding seafood served in a casual, yet classy environment. The chain started in St. Petersburg, FL back in 2000, and has quickly expanded to well over 150 restaurants. Their menu offers lots of well-known appetizers (like the Bang Bang Shrimp), freshly-made soups, salads, burgers, tacos, wood-grilled fish, steaks, and chops. They've also added some bowls of shrimp, tuna, or chicken served over a salad or noodles. Since I've eaten at Bonefish for dinner many times in the past, I decided to try a couple of new things off their lunch menu, and encouraged my associate to do the same. I began my meal with their new Cold Snap Fresh Ceviche which included chilled bay scallops, shrimp, and freshly-diced fish, mixed with diced avocado, cucumber, jalapeno peppers, red onion, and tomato. That was all marinated in citrus juice and cilantro, and then served inside of an "ice bowl" on a plate with warm tortilla chips. For my main course I had their Maryland-style Jumbo lump crab cakes which were mostly crabmeat and very little filler, then flash fried and served with a spicy red remoulade dipping sauce. I passed on the French fries, and instead tried their chilled pesto cous cous salad with cherry tomatoes. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for lunch, which kept the servers and the kitchen hopping. I thought that our server was very pleasant, and she gave us some good recommendations of things to try. The super bowl night and we decide to sit at the bar side of the Bonefish Grilled. The new added menu for the Bar Bites Menu has added another dimension for the order. The items start at $4 to $12. The bar bites menu have 8 selection and some of the selection have two different type of meat. The appetizer has 11 items to select. The combination of the bar menu and the appetizer create over twenty different selection. This is good business model with Tapas mentality that the bonefish management has provided the customer with more choice. It definite makes the top bar in this area. It will attract more customer in the future. Tonight we started with the Lamb Lollipop hops. I have this dish at different Bonefish location and I want to make sure different chef can create this dish better. The lamb chop turns up better at this location. The meat is cook to perfect medium and have hint of salt to make the chop taste better without losing it meat taste. We have order the Lobster Street Taco. My wife like this dish and said it have big chunk of lobster meat and worth the $5 item. We have order a bowl of the corn chowder with crab meat. I will advice you order the bowl instead of the cup when you are hungry or two people in the party that can share this dish. The cup and bowl size only a $1 different and you get more on the bowl. We have gone to the appetizer menu and order the Filet Satay. This is new item in the appetizer. It is a center cut filet mignon in soy seasoning and serves with spicy mustard sauce in tomatoes, cucumber, onion. The meat is tender and soft. The only down side is each pieces is small. However they are delicious. The next appetizer is Singapore Calamari. The calamari is lightly dry pepper breaded and deep fried. It serves sweet spicy sauce. They are crispy and we have left nothing on the plate because they are insane good. The last item is the coconut shrimp with sweet spicy sauce. The dish has six jumbo shrimp and coated with coconut flake. This is a good value dish and it is less than $9. We are stuff after all the items. I forgot to mention the Sunday night have happy hours till 6:30. The wine is $3.25 a glass and the draft beer is a dollar. Can't beat that!!! Our server is super nice and attentive. As a result, tonight we are awarding this restaurant with 5 stars. read more

And three is generous. We were seated immediately. The waitress was congenial and helpful. We started with the watermelon salad. It was tasty, but stingy with the watermelon (at the height of the season) and my palate did not detect even a hint of the promised salsa verde. The arugula was bright and peppery, the feta a lovely compliment to couple the flavors. I picked up hints of oregano and possibly mint. The feta cream was lacking. I had the fish and chips and the fish was good. The fries were soggy and cold; had the appearance and feel of having cooked in cold oil. The Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos were over-dressed, but otherwise as expected. The tacos are wrapped in a single tortilla each. They could be improved upon if enfolded in a double layer of tortillas. Waitress asked if I'd care for malt vinegar before my food was delivered. . I told her I'd prefer lots and lots of lemon. Dish was delivered with one very small wedge. I requested more from the expediter. Seven minutes and cold soggy fries later, the waitress showed, sans lemon. Five more minutes for lemon. And fries replaced fourteen minutes after plate was delivered. Restaurant was not busy on a Sunday night... Only offered a box or the check after she overheard my complaint to my husband, though our dishes were pushed aside. Service improved somewhat after the tip -we use 20% as our minimal starting point. The advertised Hawaiian martini was discontinued and replaced with something else but several in or group specifically wanted the Hawaiian. $5 martini Monday's are great. The WC location had become one of our most frequented places, but lately, we have seen its performance drop significantly, both food quality and service. The wife and I stopped by around 9 on a Friday and it wasn't busy. We sat in the bar area and ordered drinks and an appetizer. We saw the bread and the appetizer come out in about 10-15 minutes later, but only after we had eaten them, did I finally flag somebody down for our drinks. It pissed me off because the bartenders were not busy with customers and seemed to be more focused on side work. Anyway, we left and went to noble crust. The last visit, the server only knew the word amazing and seemed to be in her own world. It wasn't amazing!! We lied and said it was but still tipped her well. We always do, regardless. I hope they turn it around because we always liked them. To the manager. Clean the damn greasy floors. I am tired of skating through there. Someone is going to get hurt. read more

He has a great sense of service and was friendly and professional. My Lily's Chicken featured a wonderful lemon basil sauce, bursting with flavor. It was served with fragrant Jasmine rice and broccoli steamed to perfection. I will order it again. My dining companion enjoyed her grouper and pumpkin ravioli, which I tried and also found favorable. (Her dish was a nightly special.) Only downside was the pre-dinner stop at the bar. Although friendly-acting, the bartender served my Heineken in the bottle, never offering a glass until I finally asked for one. Worse, my companion ordered a pinot noir, clearly indicating she was not fussy about the brand, saying, "I don't care which kind. Pinot is Pinot." While the house pinot would have been appropriate here, he took her lack of direction as meaning "Give me your most profitable glass of Pinot Noir." The $7 house wine quickly became the $14 variety (x2). Not cool. The barkeep knew I'd appear cheap if I verbalized the obvious and had said what I was thinking: "I believe the lady would like the house Pinot, thank you." Yes, I understand that relating this story makes me look cheap. But so be it. I hate wasting money. So, dining YES+, bar, NO! PRO TIP: Depending on time of day/time of year, the sun can hit inside the restaurant with a fierceness you only see in Florida. Some patrons wore sunglasses to cope with this problem, which was especially bad when the front door opened and let the blinding rays in. Management has made an obvious attempt to mitigate this problem with a sun-blocking screen in front of the main entrance. Still, it can be a nuisance. Take it into account before you accept the hostess's seating offer. read more

Bonefish is one of the closest sit down restaurants to my house - we don't eat seafood so we had never tried it before. We went because we wanted something different without having to go far. I'm so glad we did. Service is wonderful, first of all. Even though choices were limited (only one non-seafood app) the servers and hostesses made it with it. Kids had normal kiddie meals and were satisfied. Hubby and I picked two things to try - I had the fontina chop and he had the chicken with spinach & goat cheese. The chop was outstanding! We received pristine service from the moment we entered the restaurant, throughout our meal, and even as we were leaving. Our server Adam was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He knew the menu and answered all my questions. I asked the usual questions and he had great responses. I thought I would have him stumped with the question: "Are the Au Gratin potatoes sliced or cubed?" He answered my question without any hesitation and said "Cubed." Amazing! The Lobster was prepared perfectly! It was sweet, flaky, and a nice portion size. And yes, the Au Gratin potatoes were flavored and tender. My husband ordered the Lobster stuffed Shrimp and finished every bite! The menu items are enticing, perfectly prepared, and ample portion size. This restaurant got our order completely wrong. When I tried to resolve the issue, the manager insisted that that the order was correct despite having photos of the incorrect order we received. The order was scheduled to be redelivered but then the restaurant cancelled the order 45 minutes after the dasher was waiting to pick it up. We have gone here for a couple of dinners and the food is substandard and expensive. It takes forever for you to get your food and the staff are not very friendly. Also I normally go with a big party and the tables are always wobbling or tilted and it's uncomfortable I just wish they had better accommodations for larger groups especially with the money they charge. It all falls back on how an establishment is managed! Our server was a great reflection on how the employees are treated. Lauren is professional, knowledgeable and just down right nice! Plus I'm sure her parents are awesome as well! We had the brunch and their chef remains consistent. Delicious, different and amazing! My Oscar omlette was refreshing. The Cre'me Brul'ee French toast was a definite repeat. All in all, I must say Lauren made our experience a memorable one. She is very pleasant!! read more

I usually have a nice relaxed meal al Bonefish. Some moms and another couple each brought in four small small children around 8:30 Friday night. Of course, the moms just kept chatting and the couple just sat there while their children acted like fools screaming at whatever kids scream at. Maybe it's the location bc of family's in the area, but I probably won't come back here because of this. Bonefish is a nice restuarant, don't ruin other diners experience because you want to bring your badly behaved kids, go to Applebee's or something. read more

Bonefish has the best pineapple martini's thus far but after a long work week and a craving of this particular drink. The restaurant was not serving this drink due to not having all of the ingredients in stock! Ugh!! Oh well it happens because of the holiday. Decent food, I had a steak that was a little dry. I came here at sat at the bar hoping for better service. The bartenders seemed preoccupied with tasks- loading bar ect and had a decently full bar of people. They also appeared to be in the middle of switching off. I waited a fair amount of time for my drink and menu. Finally when I was ready to order- tender was not familiar with what I was ordering on the Tuesday menu- he said he didn't work Tuesday's. It took about 20 minutes to get my bang bang shrimp, and an additional 30 minutes to get my house salad and lobster. I feel that I should have gotten my house salad first. As by the time I got my food I was full on bang bang shrimp. Food was just ok/ too many spices and seasonings. My lobster was drenched in old bay and much too salty for my liking. It took 20 minutes for me to get my dessert and when I finally did it my ice cream looked like a puddle as you can see from the photo. Decor and ambience was great felt really upscale and everything was moderately priced which was great. They had a great Tuesday special menu with tons of options to get a three course meal. Great food and great brand if you can get waited on at this particular location. Allow me to say that I have been going to Bonefish since it had it's single location on 4th Street in St. Petersburg, FL. I love the food and the atmosphere, but I'm not sure I will ever be back to this store. I showed up at 4:55, and knowing exactly what I was going to order, took a seat in the bar area at one of the communal tables. There were two women at the bar and 1 table of 4 in a booth. The main dining are had maybe 4 or 5 tables taken but no more than about 20 people in total. While there were at least 6 or 7 servers, 1 bartender, and 3 people working at the host(ess) desk, I waited for around 8 minutes until finally one of the hosts, brought me a menu and told me my server would be with me in a moment. I sat there for another 5 or 6 minutes all the while trying to make eye contact with the servers running around. Finally I decided enough was enough and I decided to leave. I went to the host(ess) stand and asked to speak to a manager. Upon his arrival, I laid out everything I have said in this review. He did listen to me and offered to make it up to me, but that was not my point in telling him, but rather to make him aware that there is obviously a training issue that needs to be resolved. One last note. This is the second time I've visited this location by myself and the second time I've had an extremely long wait to even be acknowledged.
