So, I finally went to Bonefish in Owings Mills! I had been to their other locations in Gambrills & Glen Burnie before. I came on a Monday evening to take advantage of their $5 martinis and margaritas. The customers are here really made it what it was, you can tell that they are loyal and has been coming for a while. The bartenders and servers knew some of them by name and it made it comfortable to be there. Y'all know I love to sit at the bar and watch the drinks being made and chat it up with people. I tried their ahi tuna wonton crisps and wasn't a fan. Definitely ask for the Thai Chili glaze on the side. It was extremely too sweet. I'm not too sure what the season sprinkled over top was but it didn't help with the aesthetics of the dish. Again, some fresh jalapeno would have made this dish amazing and I might be a little partial to Yard House's way of making it, but that's perfect . . . . Oh they also could have put some sesame seeds on there too. IJS I wouldn't order it again. I also ordered the bangin chicken bites but I already knew that actually the sauce on the side. I'm not somebody who likes their food over sauce. They were nice and fresh and juicy and we're great for dipping in the sauce. Bonefishes happy hour food menu is not too vast and got to say it is a little bit boring. They do have good cocktails and I enjoy exploring those. So it's sort of a tradeoff unfortunately. But make sure that when you go you go for the drinks and not for the food so you don't be disappointed. I almost forgot to mention about the dirty glasses I received each time I ordered a drink. The first time, I was able to catch it because my bartender set the glass down in front of me as they were baking the drink. I mentioned it to them and they took the glass and said that they were wipe it out. She did do that and it appear clean after that. It's glassware so it would be a good idea to wipe it out after it's cleaned. The second drink I ordered also had a lip print on the glass and I sent that back. I couldn't check it before it was made because it was a different bartender who made it for me and she mixed it down the other end of the bar. You guys know that once you get a dirty glass you're always inspecting the other glasses after that. I can definitely tell they are busy on the nights they have specials and this happened to be right in the middle of Christmas and New Year so I imagine they might have been more busy than normal. I'm not going to make excuses for anyone because I feel like most establishments know that people will be off and patronizing restaurants during this time . . . My cousin ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer which was overly sauced and their tomato and shrimp linguine. I noticed him adding a lot of pepper on top of his linguine entree. I didn't mention it because he's a chef and I knew he would have went in but he finished it so I'm guessing it wasn't horrible. Their hostesses are always on point, the server team is amazing, the bartenders are great and the managers are always walking around checking on guests and helping out. The kitchen at this location nails it every time... except for inconsistent execution on the calamari and charbroiled oysters which they ace 1 out of 3 times but overcook 2 out of 3; however when that 1 out of 3 is done right, really makes our experiences here perfect because everything else is always hot, delicious, and gets devoured LOL. The restaurant is always clean as are the bathrooms typically tidy and well stocked. Happy hour and Martini Mondays at this location are my favorite way to enjoy a nice ladies night and catch up with friends. Kudos to the staff here. read more

I ordered my food through DoorDash and picked it up myself. It was still warm when I picked it up and the timing was right. I ordered an entree Caesar salad and an 8oz chicken breast with mash potatoes and string beans. I was very very disappointed in the amount of salad I received. That is not an entree portion in my opinion and I really like Caesar salads and get them from many places. I ended up adding the chicken to the salad. The chicken itself was seasoned and moist. A little light pink which was fine. I've read that's okay and it doesn't mean that the chicken isn't done. The texture was a "cooked to temp" texture. The string beans were only seasoned on the outside, which was also disappointing. But at least the mash potatoes were good. Garlicky and right about of salt and butter. I enjoyed them! Let's start with Customer Service ... I have never had bad service at Bonefish. My server Marissa was very kind and tolerated my hard to please Old Man with Grace. I had not realized that Bonefish had made some changes to the overall aesthetic, menu, etc ... So everything took some getting used to once we were seated. My order was simple , a Florida Cobb Salad with added Salmon . Absolutely tasty nothing to write home about but NICE ! My old man ordered the appetizer crab cakes and babyyyyyy they were sad. The crab cakes were soft and mushy . I do not think they were broiled long enough because the breading was very gritty. Our server took them off the bill and all was well. I just think a bad crab cake deters me from visiting this particular location. It's a seafood restaurant you gotta have the crab cake right ! My first time visiting here in person. Saturday afternoon, not crowded at all, 2 other guests ahead of us. We ordered 2 dozen mixed crabs and a pound of mussels. The crabs took longer than I expected, mussels came out first. They have a decent variety of seafood outside of crabs, such as crab cakes, seafood boil bags, down to shrimp salad, pretty good deals and specials written on the outside glass. I don't eat crabs do I can't comment on the crabs that were purchased but my family tore them up! I think this location in a win in my book. read more

I had not been to Bonefish in quite sometime but stopped in for a quick meal. It was a nice chill feel, inviting. I've been on a blueberry lemon drop kick and was eager to see how good theirs were. First time dining in at any Bonefish Grill. The decor greeting you as you entered is so welcoming. It was not crowded when my friend I arrived. We were seated by the hostess with one menu with a promise to return with a second. We had to ask for a second menu when our server came to the table. After ordering, I went to the restroom. There was no soap in the larger stall with its own sink. (Attention to detail is important.) Thankful there was soap at the sink in the main restroom. The bread provided was warm and tasty. My friend ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp for her appetizer and enjoyed it while we were there. I ordered the Fish & Chips. It was okay. I would've appreciated crispier and more season. The bang bang shrimp were as tasty as every and I thoroughly enjoyed the seasonal cocktail - - a blueberry lemon drop martini. It's was an extra treat to see it was part of the happy hr special! Totally score! Perusing the menu I notice a few subtle changes right away. The option to pick small or larger portions of fish were gone, they now limit you to two sauces for the fish and all the sides that sound good are considered "premium" and have a extra up-charge. Regardless I ordered my usual Sea bass and upgraded my sides to get the new creamed spinach and the bacon Mac & Cheese. When the plate arrived I was shocked by how tiny the fish was and how awkwardly it was squeezed between these gigantic dishes with a small scoop of "premium sides" inside.The bass and spinach were tasty but there just wasn't enough of it to be satisfying. It was dried up terrible so once I got home after I spend my harder money and I open my platter I called the store. I thought maybe this was a mistake so I call Big and ask why would I have the in piece of this fish and it's dry overcooked and it's the end piece I've never seen this. This is a neighborhood favorite for me. Close to home, food is good, service is always good and the ambiance is nice. I recently went in after having not visited for a while and they have added some things to the menu. I've always loved the salmon here and the sea bass but they added fried shrimp and oh my goodness it's a MUST try!! The shrimp is huge and fried to perfection. The portion of fries they gave was a little scarce but I'm sure if I said something they would have given me more. I have gotten over the constant 18 percent gratuity added everywhere but not paying 3.79 for an iced tea and then being charged the same for refills. We snacked on the bread and dipping oil. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The shrimp were way off under cooked. But the waitress graciously allowed me to switch to grilled shrimp...which were GREAT!! The drawn butter I requested had "things" floating in it. Management explained that the "floaties" were normal, but the replacement butter was free of UFO (unidentifiable floating objects)?!!? The steak (medium) was cooked rare to medium rare...but that's perfectly to my liking. The steak needed more seasoning. The bacon macaroni and cheese wasn't good. It lacked cheese and the bacon was tasteless. The creamed spinach was the star of the show! Perfect in every way. The bonefish signature pasta was good. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The shrimp were grilled to perfection. The sauce (could have been more plentiful) was a little spicy, but not too much. Outside of the service, this was a BAD experience. Stopped in for a happy hour with an old friend and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Tyreake. He was very professional, attentive and made really great margaritas. Happy hour menu offered $5 drinks including cocktails and wine. I had a margarita on happy hour special and ordered the Mussels. The mussels were seasoned very well and came out hot. I'm pretty picky about mussels but had zero complaints. They were also fresh and not one was a closed shell. They didn't come with bread but the bartender brought out some anyway. I also had calamari and loved it! It was fried and came with a sweet but spicy sauce on the side. Both the mussels and the calamari were large portions so I was able to share with my friend and felt full after. The bar atmosphere was really chill. Not too loud.
