Let me begin by saying that I love the food here. The problem is that in the town where I live they don't know how to cook fish/seafood. I've been a customer at our local Bonefish restaurant since they opened. The manager lived next door to my elderly mother and his family was much loved in their neighborhood. Then he was promoted and moved to FL. It's been lousy ever since. Not excellent service like before. The food has steadily gone downhill. I've had to send my fish back 3 times to get it cooked right. They overcook everything. Now, if you like welldone fish this is your place. However we went last week and everything was so overcooked we sent almost everything back. They didn't offer to fix it. They just said they would take it off our bill. I've never had calimari that bad. My husband doesn't want to go back. He says "I can't believe a seafood place would serve food that bad." The service is never very good. The servers disappear for long periods of time. You ask where they are and other servers say they don't know. The signature dish "bang bang shrimp" now isn't shelled. Crunching into those shells and having to pick them out of your mouth is awful. I wish things were as great as they were when they opened. The new happy hour has brought some people in. We made reservations for one of the signature 4 course dinners for our anniversary- it was terrible. We won't do that again. read more

I felt compelled to write a review for this restaurant because the food was impeccable, delicious and noteworthy! I stopped by to have lunch there while I was waiting on my car to be serviced across the street at the Dealership. I ordered the Cod Imperial which is "stuffed with a blend of seafood, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, topped with lemon caper butter." Along with that I got the steamed fresh broccoli that had a light sauce over it that tasted good. I paid extra for the side of macaroni and cheese with bacon pieces, not artificial bacon bits like some places have. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend this dish and restaurant. You won't be disappointed. The price was reasonable for what you get and the quality of the food. $22 for the dish I ordered. You don't feel robbed after you get your bill because you're food experience is so good. My hat goes off to the chief! read more

We've eaten at these franchise restaurants before so thought it was safe to try the location in Macon. Boy were we wrong. The food eas passable as you'd expect but the service was so bad as to be laughable. Things started when the waiter spilled a glass of ice water on my grandson & broke the glass wh9ch brought a phalanx of waiters & bus persons to clean it up followed by a manager who was very apologetic & offered us free desserts. Then for some reason my wife's entree was delivered a full half hour ahead of everyone else's The good news is this was followed by another cascade of apologies & a free tee for my grandson.Finally, we were all served, got our free desserts & left with two of the meals taken off our tab. In the end, we appreciate manager being so accommodating but service this bad doesn't happen by accident. Some further training is badly needed by staff at this restaurant. read more

Ordered the 7oz steak and crab cake. Medium on the steak. However the steak came back super charred to almost burnt on side and grill marks on the other side and it was under cooked. This tells me the steak wasn't room temp when they cooked it and they attempted to get it the way we wanted and failed miserably. After two bites My date and I asked them to take it back. Even the side of cream spinach wasn't prepared well. The waitress was nice but knew the steak was under cooked when she brought it out, which is why she asked us to cut into it to see if it was ok. I've heard many a great review about Bonefish Grill but due to my previous location I wasn't near a one. So when the opportunity popped up to taste and see, I jumped on it!! I went on a Wed night, so the infamous Bang Bang shrimp were only $5. Instead of choosing that, we dined on the Beef Dumplings appetizer, the filet mignon and the Chilean sea bass. When I tell you that sea bass was the most yummiest of damn aquatic animals I've ever tasted.....WOW! I got the small portion and was pretty upset I didn't get the bigger one. I accompanied the sea bass with the Asian marinade and it was the perfect combo. Reason for not 4 stars is that with the ambiance, the music was way off. Like a funky mix of music from the 80s in a romantic, dimly lit restaurant. That threw me off. Food was amaze-balls tho! read more

Finally made it to a Bonefish grill on San Jose blvd and was overjoyed that the same fresh excellent quality in both food and service as I've found at other bonefish restaurants I've reviewed here. Seriously folks despite one bad review I heard about but haven't seen concerning mussels Josephine (which by the way are the benchmark for how mussels are supposed to be!) This is an absolute must stop restaurant. Being Part Italian and my grandmother was Josephine I certainly have spent the majority of my life experiencing great food and mussels are some of my favorites. Last night I followed my mussels with the shrimp and scallops skewers. Amazing. Run don't walk or hesitate to head over to Bonefish. read more

Good service from our waiter!! To me and my girlfriend that travel around a lot just thought the food was decent. Usually we stop here when we're headed home and it's a hit or miss really. Sometimes the fish will be burnt and have a char-like taste to it which ruins the flavor for me personally. Other times We've asked for medium steak but ends up being closer to raw. If I were asked would I recommend this place I would honestly say yes, but it will be a gamble. I strongly recommend, the dip they have from the appetizer section, bacon Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as sides, and you can never go wrong with their signature pasta. If money isn't an issue and you want a decent tasting meal this would be an OK spot. read more

Went for lunch. Arrived at noon there were only 3 tables of guests in the entire restaurant. The food took 45 minutes and everything was overcooked cold and dry! They recooked 2 of our entrees and packed them to go but they were awful. The burger bun was hard as a rock. The filet was well done instead of medium. $100 for terrible food and service. We will never return. So sad because Bonefish has always been delicious! read more

My husband and I went to Bonefish Grill while we were there for our son's state wrestling competition. I have never been to Bonefish, so this was my first experience. The ambiance was really nice. If I had to say anything about the setting, it would be the music choice.  The music gave more of a Hard Rock café feel and didn't really match the rest of the ambiance.   The food was okay.   My most favorite experience there was the customer service Donnie provided us. He was so thoughtful and caring. Super nice guy! We got there close to closing. My husband ordered Salmon and I ordered the Ahi Tuna. It took a long time to get our food, but from what was communicated to us, Donnie had to cut from another Salmon as there were no more precut Salmon for the kitchen to prepare. This is what held our order up. Donnie and Summer (Summer being our waitress) were super apologetic and checked on us regularly.   When we checked out, Donnie was kind enough to compensate us for one entrée due to the inconvenience. It made us feel like our experience there was valued with more than just an apology.   Thank you, Donnie and Summer. You guys really made such a wonderful first impression of Bonefish Grill.  We will be back! read more

My son, home from Georgia Southern University, was looking for an restaurant to enjoy a dating Anniversary with his girlfriend. I requested an reservation for him. The owner sent me a message saying the reservation had been made and they would be happy to serve him on his special evening. Both him and his girlfriend stated it was one of the best service experience they had ever had. They highly enjoyed their seafood dip appetizer, and dinner choices. My son has enjoyed cuisine, from many fine restaurants, through his living in Baton Rouge,La, New Orleans and Charlotte,NC. His girlfriend has had extensive travel and eating experiences due to being a member of a military family. What a fantastic experience. Friday night , after 8:30pm, seated in less than 10min. Fun, enthusiastic, knowledgeable waiters!! Tim & Justin made our first experience so delightful. The food was fresh, hot and all very presentable. The restaurant was clean. The bread was fresh. We ordered the signature appetizer bang bang shrimp, the new Salmon superfood salad, and the imperial tilapia with Asparagus and the crab fried rice. Next time we will ask for no egg in the rice and no feta in the salad! (Too much, and big blocks of it!) All was fresh, and delicious. We also ordered dessert Creme brûlée and the coconut pie. NO REGRETS!! All in all it's a Friday night and the service was great, food was great, and we will definitely come back. Tim is easily the best waiter we've had in a long time!! We called Bonefish Grill at approximately 1050am on May 17, 2021 to ask if a table was available in the dining room for a Mercer Graduate Graduation Lunch with our Family. The hostess said just come on in - plenty of seating in the dining room. We arrived at approximately 1145am on May 17, 2021. Party of 5. The hostess said we can seat you right away. As ALWAYS they ALWAYS try to force you to sit in the bar to eat a full meal. Almost every time we have visited this Bonefish Grill, they try to force us to sit in the bar side. We stated we do not want to sit on the bar side. We want the dining room side. We were celebrating a Mercer Graduation and our Graduate was with us- just Graduated earlier in the morning on May 17. The hostess said all tables in the dining room are reserved? The Dining Room had approximately 12 customers seated and no one was waiting. We were seated in the BAR side. We asked again for the Dining room and both Host and hostess said all tables in the Dining room were reserved. We again were forced to sit down in a booth in the bar side. We ate our lunch and later when we finished there was STILL plenty of open seats in the dining room and maybe 15 customers total in the dining room with no one waiting for ANY tables in the dining room. We had a clear view of the dining room from our bar booth. WHY does this Bonefish Grill always try to force CERTAIN people in the bar booths?? They also forced 2 other parties of 4 and 2 in bar booth seats when the dining room was open with so much seating - it looked empty-AND NO ONE WAITING TO BE SEATED. Those other parties seated in the bar also asked about the dining room and were denied access to the dining room with maybe 12-15 customers seated in the dining room. I sent a complaint to their corporate headquarters. I got a call from a Manager at the restaurant within 1 hour. He apologized quickly and I was asking him why we could not sit in the dining room - He angrily stated NOBODY FORCED YOU TO SIT IN THE BAR, he stated ANGRILY they had 4 pages of reservations for 12pm to 1pm and how would I run this restaurant with only 4 servers - AND THEN HUNG UP ON ME. Let me say - he was an angry person/Manager. A restaurant Manager who is angry at customers, does not want feedback or to be questioned and hangs up on a customer before hearing what they have to say needs customer relations training. That restaurant only had maybe 12-15 customers in the entire dining room the entire 1 1/2 hours we were there with no one waiting inside or outside for a table. We sat in a bar booth and saw through the opening that 3/4's of the tables in the dining room were available and open. read more

Countless times my children have taken me to this establishment and countless times i have experienced some of the best memories that i hold dear to my heart. From my grandsons graduation, to just a lovely dinner date with my husband. This restaurant, I feel, is somewhat apart of me in a way. With the delicious grilled salmon to the bang bang shrimp ( which i cannot recommend enough ) this restaurant will always have me coming back through its rotating doors. Changing my review from 5 to 3 stars because the bartenders were rude, unprofessional, and I saw one drop a Moscow mule glass on the ground and put it right back on the shelf ... gross!! I always love the Bonefish Grill food and atmosphere ... this one is no different. The food is great and the staff is awesome. They are very friendly and attentive. I come have come here several times just for the service and the quiet, dark ambience. No complaints besides the fact that I'm vegan and there aren't very many vegan options. But I really just come for the wine and the atmosphere. There are a few things I can eat so I don't mind too much. read more

It really feels great to have a Bonefish Grill (BG) close to us. We made reservations and were seated rather quickly. I recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp and/or calamari as starters (very flavorful and delicious). The server was attentive but also somewhat overworked , so that's something to keep an eye it. It seemed like they may have been short on staff, but I may be wrong. Also the men's room wasn't as clean as it could have been, so that's something to be aware of as well. But overall we had a pleasant evening and our meals were on point and the portions generous. I had the fish n chips while she had Atlantic salmon. read more

Good reputation, but not my favorite restaurant. High prices and small portions. Got the Grouper and Shrimp, which came with two sides. My wife and I each got a salad as one of our sides. The waitress neglected to tell us it was an additional $2 per salad to get them as a side. The fresh, hot bread was my favorite part of the meal. The grouper as ok, but the shrimp consisted of three small grilled shrimp. Paid $26 for the dish (see photo). read more

Have eaten here a couple of times before and was good food and service but last night, spouse carried me there for our anniversary and it was just ok. Server was very attentive but appeared to be overwhelmed. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to death! It was almost to the point of being burnt and very dry. The side of broccoli was decent as was the caesar salad. (although I thought it would never arrive). Spouse ordered the shrimp and scallop skewer and it looked ok but he wouldn't tell me otherwise. He had mashed potatoes which were cold and mac and cheese that was inedible! We were never brought any bread or asked if we wanted any but others did get theirs. We got seated at 7pm and it took 1 1&2 hours for our meals to be served. Waiter acted strange and seemed to be high or impaired. It appeared that customers who came in after us got served before us. Three in our party had grilled mahi and it was dried out for all thee. Our sirloins were very tough. The appetizers (bang bang shrimp, dumplings) were very good. Our service was ok however when we complained that the broccoli was raw, the server went to take care of it but never brought it until just as we were finishing our meal.
