Corn chowder with crab in a to go container. This is a bowl of soup to go.

Bonefish has amazing service. I went for a girls night out and it was very cozy. There wasn't a lot of people at this location for the timeframe (5pm) so it was very ideal. We enjoyed great food that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. You can tell the restaurant takes pride with the presentation of the food and facility. Everything was amazing. Also, on Monday's Martinis are 5 dollars!

Our server, Tia, was phenomenal! She exemplified first class service. My stop at the bar prior to my group's was pleasant and I was presented with a top-notch martini. For dinner, we were comfortably ensconced in a large booth and even with large groups of market visitors, the noise was absorbed in the intimate ambiance of the dimly lit dining room. In this case, the photos don't do the food justice. I started with Crab corn chowder, which was perfect for a damp, chilly fall evening, but the fish was simply delicious. Perfectly flaky and complimented well by the sautéed spinach and bacon. We migrated back to the bar to close our evening with a nightcap and I left with plans to return soon.

If you're looking for fine dining food with a more relaxed atmosphere and at VERY reasonable prices, give Bonefish a shot. The service was excellent, the food was magnificent (I strongly recommend the chimichurri bistro filet and the truffle fries) and the vibe was immaculate. I will be back!

I really miss the locations we had in Winston Salem. Was consistently good and the bartenders were great and inventive with the cocktails. I was given a gift card to Bonefish about a week before they closed and have been holding on to it. The big day came when we finally could use it. We were treated by a very friendly hostess who sat us on the bar side of the restaurant which was not a problem and actually where I was hoping. We were treated pretty quickly by the bartender who offered a few meal selections. We followed his recommendations. I had the salmon with crab meat. My wife had the Cod. My meal came out piping hot, slightly overcooked but not dried out. I could really taste the crab but a lot (at least it seamed) was piled on it. He informed that my meal came with 2 sides. Sadly, after tipping out I saw that he charged me for both sides. I got the Brussels and they were just not that good. They seemed to be sitting in too much liquid for too long and were a wet, soggy mess. Neither one of us finished our meal and even our cat refused the fish. The bread and olive oil was good. Perhaps I should have stopped there with the bottle of wine we bought. The restaurant was clean with the exception of the men's bathroom where it appears a bottle of soap exploded and was all over the floor. I let the hostess know. It bothers me a great deal being cheated on a bill and I can only assume knowingly as he manually punched in the charges. Will not return. WATCH YOUR BILL!

The service and atmosphere make up for the price. While it is good, I wouldn't say it's to the point where the prices match the level of cuisine. The Lobster Ravioli had me fishing for the taste of lobster, and I'm sad to have missed the oysters. The calamari was great although!

They were quite busy for a Sunday night. They gave us a 45-60 minute wait, but it ended up being only 20 minutes. We shared the bang bang shrimp appetizer--killer as always. I ordered sirloin and crabcake. The steak was cooked to medium rare perfection. The crab cake was small, but very tasty. The asparagus was thick but very tender. The potatoes were excellent. My wife ordered the fish tacos with the mango salsa. It was outstanding. Our server, Miracle, was attentive without being overbearing. Great visit. Too hungry for pictures of the main course. Sorry.

I've never had a bad meal at Bonefish Grill and this time was no different. I stopped in for lunch with the ladies and ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos, corn & lump crab chowder, and fried Brussels sprouts. If you love the bang bang shrimp, you'll love the bang bang shrimp tacos. I decided to switch it up since I usually get the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. The corn & crab chowder was rich and creamy, and you could actually see the crab in the chowder. I hate when there's supposed to be crab in something but you never actually see it. You can't go wrong with fried brussels sprouts, and these sprouts were tossed in a sweet sauce. As a table, we decided to order the toasted pumpkin ravioli because we were all intrigued, and wanted to give it a try. After we each took a ravioli, we were all upset that we didn't have our own orders. Fried ravioli is good on its own, but when you top it with a pepita-parsley garlic sauce, feta cheese, and lemon zest, that completely elevates the dish. My only critique is the service was a little slow although the restaurant was pretty empty. I think they must've been shortstaffed, but our waitress did her best and we appreciated her.

My experience was mediocre. We were assigned 4 servers before we were actually served. The 1 that we ended up with was pleasant. We sat in the bar area. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. I ordered the Cod Imperial with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The Cod was slightly overcooked and the stuffing was a little salty. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. The broccoli was OK. The Sangria was good. My friend had a Ceasar salad with salmon and she said it was good.

The food and drinks were really good tonight at Bonefish. They only had 2 cooks but I think they did a good job of getting the food out in a decent amount of time. The drinks from the bar did not disappoint. Huge shout out to Hailey and the other bartenders. The Mexican street corn was really good too.

We came here for the land and sea bourbon dinner. Marquis hosted and was amazing. They had prizes galore and $60 was such a great value. The whole team works like a well oiled machine. The dinner came with 2 cocktails and 2 bourbon pours. The first course was a scallop crostini with bacon jam. they accommodated my husband's allergy by giving him shrimp instead. The second course was shrimp over risotto. The risotto was mushy but still fine. The third course was halibut with smashed potatoes and roasted garlic. The halibut was a little dry but still tasty. The last course was cheesecake. So good! What a great selection of bourbon and a personalized experience. I will be back with friends.

We settled in on the small outdoor patio on a very fine spring evening for a meal that hit the spot each point along the line. Well... Maybe except for their chairs. These chairs were not the kind you would usually sit outside to eat in, more built for reclining with a drink in hand. It was not comfortable to sit forward and eat my meal. But man, was that meal ever delicious. Chips came out with three types of salsa, and we ordered the guacamole provincial to go with them as well. The chips on their own were decent, but each salsa had a unique flavor and amount of heat that kept things interesting. The guacamole was chunky and full of flavor, with a good enough portion for the four of us. When the meal came, it was clear I had won dinner. I got the "Mezcali's Best" which honestly, I think it was their best effort. Grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers, and zucchini in a chipotle queso sauce. Man. THAT SAUCE. That sauce just simply made the whole thing incredible. To the point when I cleared my plate, my wife had me scrape the sauce onto what was left of hers. In addition, the refried beans had an excellent flavor, I am not usually big on the beans... but this one had me wanting more. Chips used to scoop up some beans, rice, and sauce... were so so good. I would definitely come back here, probably sit inside, and order the Mezcali's best (or anything I can get that chipotle queso sauce on) again.

The menu is huge and offers just about anything you can think of. Apps, tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, flautas, burritos, fajitas, platters, seafood, you name it. The margaritas are massive as well. They also offer a lunch menu with quite a few options at a lower price, which is always appreciated. Chips and salsa are complimentary, with three different salsas to choose from: mild, verde, and spicy. All three had great flavor. The chips themselves weren't quite as fresh as I'd like and didn't come out hot or warmed. My server saw how much I loved the salsas and kept refilling. She was awesome! For this weekday lunch, I went with the Burrito Vallarta with chicken. Rice, beans, avocado, and a tasty hot sauce inside, with sour cream, pico de gallo, and lettuce on the side. Everything tasted fresh and the burrito as a whole was juicy and flavorful. The chicken was shredded and just a bit tough. I personally prefer freshly grilled chunks or strips, but it was still good overall. All in all, this is a nice addition to the shopping center and a solid option for Mexican food in the area.

Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. We finally had a chance to try Fishbones on Walker Avenue. We were looking for something casual and…read moreinviting and what we found was a rustic, engaging vibe at Fishbones. We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Husband and I popped in for a week night dinner after doing some holiday shopping. It's a small, but very cute place. Can sit at the bar or at one of the high top tables. I enjoy sitting by the fish tank they have toward the back. I love their peel and eat shrimp, so we decided to get a pound as an appetizer. These shrimp are the big guys and I highly recommend asking for the Old Bay seasoning on them. I tried to limit my use of the melted butter (of course yum) which wasnt too hard as their cocktail sauce is pretty darn good. The balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy in their preparation is spot on. For entrees we went with two of their most popular dishes. Hubby ordered the farm-raised catfish. This dish comes with certain sides but you can customize, he got the slaw and blackened green beans. I got the blackened ahh tuna medium rare which comes with your choice of two sides. I went for corn and the blackened green beans. My tuna was perfectly prepared and hit the spot. I received two big half pieces of golden yellow corn. It had nice subtle sweetness. Their blackened green beans are a must try. Perfectly seasoned. The creamy dipping sauce is also delish but tried to limit use. This was a lot of food and very healthy. I left plenty full with no guilt. Everything was superb. The service was also very attentive. No issue getting a table on a weeknight. There is something for everyone on the menu. I've never been able to convince myself to get anything but seafood as their specialty, but they do have options for meat-lovers and even some vegetarian and vegan options available. I bet they are good too. Be sure to look at their Facebook page and website to see their weekly Specials. First time visiting!!! I e been wanting to come here since they opened, but since hubby doesn't eat…read moreseafood it took me this long to suggest it for a girls night out! I'm so thankful I thought of it last minute, after leaving the gym!! I called to see if they could accommodate two in an hour & a half. Todd politely answered the phone and said he could make that work. We arrived right at 6:30 and Todd, who also happened to be the host for the evening, gave us our choice of two tables. The atmosphere is busy, lots of people chatting, but you're still pretty much able to hold your own conversations. Jake was our delightful British (I think) waiter. He brought us our beverages and described what had to be 5-6 specials for the evening. Everything sounded delightful, but I've been wanting that fried flounder since day one! Jake even brought us a sample bowl of hush puppies with butter. YUMMM!!! The dinner came within 10-17 minutes, nice & hot! Everything was pretty tasty. My flounder was a little bland so I requested some salt & pepper to add more flavor. I got the chili sauce on the side because the fish is the star, not to be covered with Thai chili sauce. Todd was cleaning empty tables near us and stopped by to make sure we enjoyed our meal and would come back. We definitely will!!! Thank you Todd for helping make our girls night dinner delightful!

The patio area was lit with string lights. We tried the oyster and mussels for appetizers. The mussels was tasty and seasoned really well( spicy tomato sauce). The oyster rockerfeller was okay I wasnt fond of the parmesan and bacon toppings. For the main entrees I ordered the seafood mix boil. The seafood boil is steamed and comes with a side of butter sauce. It was good but a little over cooked. My date ordered the pan seared salmon with terriyaki glaze,he liked it.
