We can't say enough about this great find! The food was fantastic. We started with the bang bang shrimp and it was great. I had the bone in ribeye and she had the chi lain sea bass. My steak was tender and flavorful and my wife couldn't say enough about the bass. Some of the sides could have been better but overall a great meal. Went here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our server Max was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu items. We had a few seasonal drinks and enjoyed bang bang shrimp. The kitchen got busy on a Saturday night but our food for two still came timely. Dessert was delicious!!! read more

Went on a Sat lunch with a group of friends at my request. I regret my recommendation of BG. Servers were friendly and accomodating, so no problem there. Food just mediocre at best. Fish sandwich - dried up, overcooked fish. Cilantro-lime salad- flavorless. Fish and chips- over battered and greasy. Grilled shrimp-dry and overcooked, but good smoke flavor. Bang bang shrimp were amazing! Had the truffled Mac and cheese it was also very tasty. Haddock was a featured special of the evening and it was delicious. My wife and I love the atmosphere at Bonefish. We've eaten here about 12 times over the past four years. The food is very good (even excellent as far as Evansville options are concerned), but limited in terms of seafood selection. Bonefish has the same five or so varieties of fish, prepared the same way served with your choice of the same sauces. We've never been disappointed with our fish...or the always popular bang bang shrimp. Drinks are good. Prices are moderate. The rather upscale atmosphere that the restaurant is projecting is compromised by the lack of any kind of even loose dress code. It really takes away from the experience on a Saturday night - while most patrons are dressed nicely - you have some that come in wearing t-shirts or shorts. C'mon people...you're not in McDonald's! One other note...the men's room was a mess. Both trash cans were overflowing with discarded paper towels. Bonefish loses a star for allowing customers to wear anything. Maybe we're expecting too much...what kind of restaurant do they want to be? read more

Even though it's a chain, the food at this seafood restaurant is "as good as it gets" in Evansville - hence the 5 stars. The Ahi Tuna appetizer is delicious, and you won't find anything like it for 2 hours in any direction. All the simply grilled fish dishes are good, the service is excellent, and they serve quality wines. True: if this place were on one of the Coasts, it would merely be above average. Yeah it's super chain-ey, but of the chain styles around here it's pretty darn good and there is an abundance of cute hostesses and even if you don't get one the other servers are really cool. The pistachio/parmesan encrusted Rainbow trout topped with a a couple artichoke slices rocks. Bangin' Shrimp is a group favorite that has to be ordered. I love seafood which sucks since Indiana is more or less a land locked state. I'm also not a fan of chain restaurants. However, Bonefish has some quality items that make it worth while and a descent atmosphere. The Tuna sushi appetizer alone makes it worth a visit. read more

Our first trip to BFG was several years ago about 2 mths after they originally opened and it was horrible!! The only edible thing was a Caesar Salad my son got. So we would never go back even when invited by friends. However we decided to give it another chance tonite and I am so glad we did. Everything we had was delicious from the Tropical Heat Martini to the Creme Brûlée and Key Lime Pie for dessert. My husband (a beer drinker) fell I love with this martini (drank 2) which is a miracle in itself. Our entrees, Imperial Talipia and Sirloin Crab Cake dinner, were both fantastic. I am not from this area and had to rely on yelp. The Fishbone came up with a Tuesday special menu which I was able to download pictures of the entrées. That was enough to attract me to the Fishbone grill. Once inside seated in the dining room, Corey was a fantastic person to meet and guided us through the restaurants menu. I used to like The Bonefish, but I became extremely ill after eating the swordfish special there. I commented to the sweaty waiter that the texture of the swordfish seemed wrong....it was very mushy and not at all like any other piece of swordfish that I had eaten. He just shrugged and scratched himself. My spouse did not become ill, but she had a pork dish. It was not until later that I discovered that a lady I work with and her husband had also eaten at The Bonefish the same evening and had both become violently ill later that night. Neither had the swordfish, though. We all recovered in due time. When I contacted Bonefish management via email, they protested that it could not possibly have been their fault. When I emailed them that 2 other people had also become ill, they refused to respond. Numerous other attempts to get a refund for the swordfish dinner or even an apology were never answered. I have to suggest avoiding this place at all costs. read more

I went to Bone Fish last night and they were packed of course it was bang bang night. So since I could get a seat at the bar and didn't want to wait for a table for 1 I just decided to order to go and I had a glass of red wine while I waited. The wine was fabulous it was an Italian red blend I don't know the name of wish I did it was a little spicy yummy. This place is really delicious. Of course you can't step foot in this door with out ordering the Bang Bang Shrimp. It is cooked to perfection and tastes amazing! They have a full bar so get your martini on. I had the rainbow trout with butter sauce and it was divine. The fish flaked off perfectly. Yum! The server was great as well. BAD SERVICE!!!!!! My husband and I just ate at Bonefish Grill in Evansville IN. We wanted to sit at the bar to enjoy some college football. It was probably the worst service we have ever had here. We ordered Drinks And appetizers Another server made them for us and they were good. We ordered food and after it came she asked if it was alright. She never asked us again for more drinks or water or anything the rest of the time we were there. . She kept talking to the people next to us and then eating their left over food while she was still working. After they left she continued to eat their leftovers as she continued to serve others their drinks. Not the level of service we are used to at Bonefish Grill as we eat here often. Not sure I want to go back anytime soon. read more

Our family went to celebrate collage graduation. We made a reservation weeks ago and arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation for 7 people and we were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time. However we had excellent service and the meal as always was very good. I do wish they had round tables so it would be easier to visit in a large group and that our seated time was a little more prompt but overall I will be back. 43/4 stars is my accurate rating.
