Bonefish Grill is a seafood centered restaurant where you can dine casually or formally. The decor is elegant and includes wood tones and warm lighting. They have a wide range of seafood dishes and land based selections, as well. Our server was very polite and kept our drinks full throughout our visit. For our appetizer, we tried the crab cakes, and we were not disappointed. My date ordered the bone-in pork chop with roasted potatoes and broccoli. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection and tasty. I ordered the scallops florentine butterfish special for Mother's Day with a side of kung pao brussels sprouts and broccoli. My date and I both agreed that the broccoli left us disappointed, as it was bland and not seasoned (as we have found at most restaurants). My fish and scallops were tender and fresh. The kung pao Brussels sprouts were flavorful and had a nice caramelization. It's definitely a great date night spot! read more

I've said it before, and I'll repeat it: this place is consistently good and way above its competitors as a chain. I've been to various locations and can always count on a solid meal, so you now have a loyal customer! Service is always stellar, and tonight was no different. My only complaint, if I'm being picky, was that I sat at the bar, and the lighting was so dark I couldn't hardly see my food. I'm all about setting the mood, but it was a little extreme, and I don't recall it being that way at any other location. I had one of the specials, the unicorn fish and that was my first time ever trying that particular species. It came with a diablo sauce that had just enough spice, rice and perfectly cooked asparagus. I was offered bread and dessert and even a drink Togo and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. He also told me about a social bourbon dinner that was coming up and gave me the menu for it. Unfortunately I am just passing through but it looked like something I would totally attend. I'm more if a small business restaurant goer for many reasons but I will also make an exception for Bonefish and iM sad the location in Kansas City closed. Please come back! read more

Drink and food quality was great. Coho salmon was fresh. We were warned service would be slow but the short staff did great.

My wife and I went to the Bonefish at around 4:30 on 4th of July. We sat at a table in the bar area and couldn't have been more disappointed with the service. There was literally two or three tables with people in the whole restaurant and still sat for ten minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us. The rest of the meal we watched as our server and several other employees talked to a couple that they clearly knew and ignored the other patrons. Food was fine but the service was the worst we ever experienced at this restaurant. My wife being a nicer person than me, gave the girl a far more generous tip that I would have. I think the managers need to pay a little more attention to what the servers are doing. read more

I'm still in the restaurant as I write this review, and unfortunately this has been one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had. We were seated before two other tables, yet those tables were served their food while we were still waiting with no explanation. To make matters worse, another waitress openly said to the hostess, "Am I the only one working in this section?" after we had already been seated, then proceeded to skip our table to serve the other tables first. She also continued to glare at me the entire time, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. There were three managers on the floor who clearly saw what was happening, yet none of them stepped in to correct the behavior or address the delay. After we decided to cancel our order because of the poor treatment, a manager still brought the food out without acknowledging the issue or asking what went wrong. When the pork chop finally came out, it was extremely overcooked. The only person who showed professionalism was our actual waitress, who seemed to notice what was going on and apologized. For management to stand by and allow this type of treatment is unacceptable. It felt discriminatory and upsetting. Just because our skin color is different does not mean we don't have the money or the right to dine here like anyone else. Do better. read more

I've been a fan of Bonefish since I lived in Evansville about 10 years ago. Their food is good, even though it's a bit pricey. This time around I just ordered and appetizer (bang bang shrimp) and crab cakes. They were both delicious. They seemed to be having a bit of a staffing issue as the dining room had a 20 minute wait and was about 75% empty. I ordered a drink before dinner, but it arrived well after my food was delivered. I was in the mood for some seafood and options were kinda slim in terms of places to dine. My hotel was near this place so I figured "why not?". I went for the Parmesan crusted trout, a side of jasmine rice and steamed spinach. The trout was flavorful and a good portion. The Jasmine rice was very tiny. I mean I don't need to eat any more rice but still it was pretty small. The spinach was ok. Didn't really have much flavor, and there was quite a bit of water in the container it came in. I know spinach tends to accumulate water but that water could have been drained before packing the spinach. Overall it was a satisfying meal. I would try the trout again but maybe try diff sides. read more

2 nd time here and it was great. Reservations worked this time walked right in to our table. Had the shrimp Rangoon appetizer was very good. My husband had the valentines special of fillet and rock lobster, the steak could use some more seasoning but still very good and cooked very well. I had the salmon with lemon butter and it was fantastic along with the risotto and Brussel sprouts which were great as always. The blueberry refresher was very good for a mocktail. Went with the wife looking for some good seafood. I haven't been to one of these in years . ordered shrimp and mahi got 4 shrimp and a three or four ounce dried up piece of mahi. Rather disappointing end to a long travel day. 80 bucks later we left rather disappointed . I probably won't come back anytime soon but it is a corporate so that's what you get. Btw Amy is a bit. I don't normally expect much from a seafood place this far from an ocean. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at the bonefish grill in Evansville, IN. We went for a dual celebration of Easter Sunday and my mother's birthday. We started with the fried calamari appetizer which I would say is a must. First place I've been to that you get more calamari than vegetables. The kids both had their normal fare of chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, followed by dessert which they completed without complaint. Highly unusual. Must have been good. I had the Imperial Cod plate which was a grilled cod fillet topped with cheese, shrimp and scallops. Excellent dish. My sister got the pineapple shrimp which she loved. My mom seemed to really enjoy her grilled shrimp and scallop dish. Only downside I heard was the rice was sticky which is more of a personal preference for my mom because of choking hazard. Our waitress kept our glasses full. Checked up on us twice before our meal and several times during. The restaurant was a perfect place for a quiet meal after a long day. read more

Draft beer (which we've missed a lot over the last year) was cold and perfect with our dinner. Atmosphere was great. I had the Fish Tacos with mango salsa and cabbage; he had the Thermidor Gnocchi with lobster and brown butter sauce. Both were very tasty. Mango Salsa & Shredded Cabbage are common fish taco toppers -- and this was a perfect combo of sweet + crunch with the light flavor on the blackened fish! We shared a pair of crab cakes and of course started off with the the imperial dip w/shrimp, crab, and a melty mix of cheeses. With my most recent visit, I went ahead and ordered a grilled salmon with a pan Asian sauce (teriyaki/ginger base) for my entrée and the imperial dip for an appetizer. My salmon came with two sides - so I chose the seasonal vegetable (broccoli at the moment) and their garlic whipped potatoes. The salmon was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Sides were also good too, and the imperial dip was very filling. Only thing that I would have to note about this particular appetizer was that it came off a bit too greasy in certain aspects. Other than that, I really enjoyed all of the crab and shrimp that was included in the dip. Staff is also friendly and attentive. $150 STRIP MALL MEAL! We set a 5pm reservation and I joked with the hostess that we must be the senior early bird hour as there were roughly 8 booths filled counting ourselves with all tables and the bar empty. We were seated right away and our waitress appeared promptly. She was friendly and informative and we ordered drinks and water. The drinks arrived shortly thereafter sans the water but she stated she be right back with them and we thought off to a great start. But in fact that's when the wheels fell off. We waited sometime for her to return with the waters and take our order. It was quit some time and when she did return it was still sans water. We finally were able to order and we ordered lobster tails and steak and grill chicken cob salad. The sides came in an acceptable amount of time. However, the house salad had a hair and the side of lobster bisque was served at room temperature as well as spilled all over the side of the bowl (I even made mention to the waitress about points off for the mess). Now I've had lobster bisque but never the way Bone Fish Grill makes it and suffice it to say I did not like the taste, even the reddish color did not appeal to me as lobster bisque. I had hoped it being re-served hot would enhance the taste. It did not. The waitress replaced (I can only assume and hope) the house salad (which consisted of 3 green olives 2 cherry tomatoes 2 slices of pickled turnips? and a sprinkle of dried edamame beans but mostly just lettuce) and the still messy bowl of re-heated bisque to the table just as they were bringing out our entrees. I asked the waitress if the bisque supposed to taste this way and she informed me it was Bone Fish Grill's signature style. For Cobb salad entree - I was informed the grilled chicken, though proportionately adequate, was dry and consisted mostly of lettuce (similar to the house salad). The other two lobsters and steak entrees were not only as ordered but aesthetically pleasing. Though the waitress checked on us during our meal "I'll be right back for that" was her montage. When we did need something, she left us just sitting there waiting only to have her not to return. We finished our meal and again waited. 15 minutes we waited for the bill after we finished our meal. I went outside to make a phone call and when I returned the bill had just arrived. While I was out the cook picked up the bisque and asked if anything was wrong. My girlfriend told him that I did not like their version of the bisque. Now in full disclosure I should note the restaurant did have a steady stream of customers throughout our meal and we noticed this as our table was nearest to the front door. Now concerning the ambiance. It was relatively candle light dark. However, it was not dark enough because both my daughter and girlfriend remarked how dirty and dusty the can lights on the dividing wall adjacent to our table were. Finally, we were having trouble getting the website to release a $10 off coupon. "oops something went wrong, try again" was all it would say over and over every time. We asked for help and twice were informed it would be taken off at the register by using our phone number when paying the bill. This confused us as it was the waitress who disappear with my card to a terminal in back room. When she re-emerged, as par, we had to wait while she served other tables. When she did return she informed us it didn't show a coupon. We showed her the website and she didn't seem to care nor did she speak to anyone to try and correct the issue. Even though we did speak to whom we believed to be the manager on duty concerning the food and the coupon, he offered nothing than "hope to see you again". So do I need to say we were less than overall satisfied. read more

We ate here on Friday night while in Evansville. Great thing was they took reservations so we got right in. We started the meal with the bang nang shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the appetizer. In fact everyone around us ordered the shrimp. I ordered the mahi mahi which was perfectly grilled with broccoli and rice. My wife got the shrimp and scallops, and my sister the salmon, and my mom a perfectly cooked filet. Everyone loved their entree. The salmon had a wonderful taste. Offered us bread even though we weren't planning on any food order and checked in frequently. We were there after the diner rush and in a fairly quiet night so it was pretty quiet overall except for the noise from the kitchen, which was pretty significant but might not be noticeable on a busier night. read more

AMAZING. Don't have any pictures of the food because I wrote this after we finished, but trust me, I had the best fish of my ENTIRE LIFE here. It was the ahi tuna appetizer. We also got the bang bang shrimp, which was a little heavy but otherwise delicious. My entree was the signature bonefish pasta dish (I think that's what it was called), and it wasn't really my style, but it's good for moderately spicy Cajun pasta fans. We also had the Parmesan crusted trout, fantastic, the shrimp and scallop dish, miraculous, and the grilled shrimp (kids' menu). Service was not great but not bad. Food was really good. Our waiter were pleasant. The problem is their method of service. It took 20 minutes to get the first glass of wine. After waiting 24 minutes I canceled the second glass in order to go ahead leave. All orders are delivered by a second or third waiter who has no idea where the order goes. We had to wave the waiter down after they tried to deliver our orders to other customers at different tables! The method of service is seriously flawed!! read more
