There is memorabilia placed everywhere on the walls, along with some old sports trophies. There is an open kitchen where you can see the chefs cooking up every meal for every table, which is really nice. The floors were old and the whole interior looked like it was all still original to the day it opened several years ago. It has a very big dining room split into 3 different areas, so it was very accommodating for all of our kids to play around while we waited for our food to be delivered without disturbing other customers. My son got the kids cheese burger and fries. My husband ordered their philly cheesesteak and I decided to order their signature sub sandwich. Both of us got raw fries, as well. All of us were satisfied with our meals. My signature sub was filled with delicious flavor and my husband said he liked his Philly cheesesteak just fine. We came here with our baseball team parents, coaches and players after a tournament game and although we waited about 30 minutes to be greeted by a server after we arrived, everything was else went well. The woman who took care of us appeared to be someone who had been employed there for many years and she was very nice and patient with our very large party that took up half of the dining room area we were sitting in. My only critique was how she put a tablecloth on one of our tables before bringing us all menus and taking our drink orders. Granted, many of the adults who were familiar with this restaurant had already ordered buckets of miller light bottles from her at the bar before she came over to take care of us 30 minutes later, but many of us were still expecting prompt service.

I truly love it here. From the beautiful, chic, vintage decor inside and the stunning picture worthy vibes outside, to the impeccable service I've received from every staff member, to the delicious marriage of flavors in every dish and freshly shucked oyster I've eaten, I just love this place! It's everything this town of Lexington has been needing and everything the people have been wanting. It shows too! They are always busy. The owner is fantastic and it's easy to see he cares a lot about his patrons and staff. He runs a very clean business with very well trained and knowledgeable staff members that clearly enjoy working there. My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and split some fresh oysters on the half shell, chargrilled oysters and the Butcher pie. The way the flavors came together in that specialty pie, oh my goodness! Between the savory sausage and the sweetness of the peppadew peppers on top of a perfectly cooked sourdough crust, my taste buds were dancing. I'm not kidding! It was so good! The oysters were some of the best I've ever had too! My husband and I loved it all. We will definitely keep coming back here for more. It is just so good every time. Word to the wise: they are a reservation only restaurant via "resi," which is located on their website, but if you come in early and sit at the bar, or about 30 minutes to close at the latest, you can possibly snag a table or seat at the bar without a reservation.

We had reservations and waited 15 minutes or so to be seated. We started with the Truffle Frites and Chargrilled oysters. Both were Definitely a 10/10 and a must-order. For our entrées, we tried the Campanelle Pesto and the Crab Malfadine. The Campanelle Pesto was creamy, flavorful, and well-balanced--an easy 10/10. The Crab Malfadine was good, but it didn't stand out in the same way. I'd give it a 6/10. It wasn't bad, but it was missing that wow factor. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. It wasn't terrible, but it felt inattentive and lacked the level of hospitality I'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Between the underwhelming service and the overall experience, I'm not sure I'd return, despite how much I enjoyed the food.

I was the third party member going in blind because while my dinning companions suggested Bluefin, if I'm honest they were not doing a good job selling it, with their mixed reviews. We arrived @ 7pm on a Saturday. Upon arrival we were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. We were seated immediately because oddly enough the place was not busy. As we perused the menu, we noticed the amount of time that had elapsed without being approached or attended to. As we continued to wait, I immediately thought this is a bad sign. Finally we got a waitress and placed our orders. For starters we ordered: -BLUEFIN CRAB DIP: Lemon Breadcrumbs and Toasted Baguette -CRAB CAKES: Sweet Corn, Black Eyed Peas, Tomatoes, Leeks, Whole Grain Mustard Butter -PRINCE EDWARD MUSSELS: Garlic, White Wine, Herbs, Leeks, Tomatoes, Lemon Butter All were good. Even though I ordered it, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the combination of the sweet corn and black eyed peas of the Crab Cake dish. The Mussels were good and the Crab Dip was ok. For an entrée I went with the PAN SEARED BLACK BASS (BARRAMUNDI) with Fried Brussel Sprouts, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Ginger Soy Vinaigrette. This dish was great! Both my sister and I ordered this and we could not stop raving about it. She was little salty that I had some left for a doggy bag , albeit a small amount, and she finished all of hers. Lol Overall the experience started off shaky but the food was good. Just A Note: The service left much to be desired but the dish I had was memorable.

Diamond - 5 Stars Jacob - 1 Star…read more After an extra long visit to SC, a friend suggested we hang out before I head back to NYC. We ended up stopping at The Grand around 9/9:30pm on a Saturday. Upon entering the hostess informed us they were currently only serving the late night menu. We said no problem and elected to grab seats at the bar. There were several empty tables and a few empty seats @ the bar. However, the only two seats together at the bar needed to be cleared from the last patrons that were seated. We stood there for over 20 mins while Jacob continued to walk by never acknowledging us or the fact that we couldn't sit. When he finally cleared the dishes he just walked away, never cleaning the area. When he returned he still never greeted us or apologized for the wait, the mess... nothing. Jacob: What are you having? Me: Well hello... Jacob: Yea... what do you want? Me: Wow... ok. For starters can you please whip off the bar so we can properly have a seat. There is still food residue here from the last customers. ** we get a visible huff** He wipes down the bar and we proceed to order drinks, while he never really speak any more it's all via motions and body language. Amongst ourselves we check in with one another to confirm that we both were feeling very unwelcome. Instantly we decide that we will not be ordering anything additional and will be leaving after this one drink. Which is just as well because Jacob never returns. Someone , whom I can only assume was of a mangement status, asked if Jacob was helpful and we promptly and simultaneously said no and that we would like or bill. She shook her head in utter disbelief and disgust but then she also disappeared. Just so happened that Diamond, whom was on the other side of the bar happen to walk pass. She stopped and asked if we were ok after witnessing our frustration. We explained that we wanted the check and why we were leaving. She was super apologetic and closed out our tab. Her energy literal turned the experience around and if she would have came to our rescue sooner we would have considered staying. Thank you Diamond. Just A Note: Unfortunately, bad first impression because The Grand seems like it may offer a good time with the bowling lanes in the back.
