I've been twice so far with my new puppy and love it! Every one is very friendly and timely. I love the ability to see all details in the app. The staff was great and called to let me know I had our second visit scheduled too early to get all the right vaccines and were able to get me rescheduled appropriately. At the end of every visit, they walk you through each line item of the bill. They always take the time to explain the reasoning behind each vaccine/procedure they are recommending and answer any questions I have about health, behavior, cost, side effects, etc. HOWEVER docking one star because every time I've been so far the exam rooms have been FILTHY. Like bathing myself and my dog immediately after leaving level filthy. I had to pick up tufts of another pets hair/fur (very clearly several different pets ...) to prevent my dog from eating them. Just a little concerning when they are telling me my puppy is too young /unvaccinated to be going to high traffic dog areas. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are taking proper precautions and it's just because I've had appointments at the very end of the day, but that is my biggest complaint/concern.

Everything. I brought my dog to Angell after VEG consulted…read morewith them about repairing an incision that had opened 2 days after TPLO surgery. Angell quoted about $3000 for the repair. When I got to Angell, it took almost an hour for triage to even look at my dog. It took another 5-6 hours before I we were seen by a vet which means my dog was left on a tile floor in the waiting room with an open incision that was seeping blood and with no pain medication or sedation. When we were seen by an intern - I don't remember her name but she was horrible, yelling at me to keep my dog still - she checked the wound, took some pictures, and disappeared. When she came back, the cost she gave was what Angell told VEG. I went to pay and was told that I was given the wrong quote and it would be $7-10,000 and that my dog would absolutely need a second surgery in 8-12 weeks. I was able to contact the vet tech where the original surgery was done and she asked the intern if they could bandage it in a way it would last 24-48 hours and she said yes. So, $600 later, I took my dog home after being told he had not been given medication and that he was aggressive with behavior problems. My dog is a favorite at my real vet's office and they always comment on how sweet he is. 7 hours later, the bandage had completely loosened and the incision opened completely, exposing the plate in his leg. I decided not to return to Angell and went to Blue Pearl where they properly medicated and bandaged my dog's leg. 24 hours later, I brought my dog to my vet where they repaired the incision for less than $1000. He did not need the surgery Angell wanted to do and he did not need an additional surgery. Then, I got a bill for medication for my dog even though the intern told me no medication was given. After 3 requests to talk to management, someone finally got in touch with me, told me my dog was given medication, and that if I didn't pay, they would ruin my credit (I sent them a check not even made out to them and they cashed it anyway - isn't that illegal?). I told them I believed they should reimburse the charge for the incompetent bandaging that I had to have redone and they refused. I filed a complaint with my credit card company - with the bills from Blue Pearl as well as the bill from my vet showing the work that actually needed to be done and they agreed that the charges should be reversed. Angell refused to reimburse any money. I hope you're happy that you stole over $600 from a senior citizen on a fixed income and that you would have done 2 unnecessary surgeries totaling over $10,000 if I had agreed to it. I remember now why so many people say that Angell is where dogs go to die. You people are horrible. You kept my dog waiting - in pain - for hours, lied about medicating him, lied about him needing two major surgeries, and did an incompetent job bandaging up his wound which needed to be redone 7 hours later by a competent vet. If I could give you negative stars I would. I will never trust you to even touch one of my dogs again. The only thing you want is money and you're willing to lie and do unnecessary surgeries to get it. So, enjoy your blood money. You're a bunch of thieves. If you provided competent service, at least I could justify paying but not when someone else has to do the exact same work, except they did it properly.

My last visit would sadly be my last as my family made the difficult and painful decision to put him down. Its taken me a little over a week to write something but I know I wanted to tell everyone about this location. Numerous issues, including a cancer diagnosis, coupled with his old age after a surgery at his home vet. The staff were always so sweet and caring with him. They even managed to entertain him with some classical music when he was a little yappy! He lived a long, happy spoiled life. I miss him everyday. My first pet out of high school, we were almost never apart. I think that knowing he was in the best possible hands near the end helped take some of my guilt grief away. Every single person was amazing and I just know that profession cannot be easy. God, my sister and I cried for hours and we were never rushed. Dr.Silverstone, thank you for always being straight with us but also extremely professional and kind. They contract out to help with end of life arrangements and cremation, if you choose. 'epaws' or something. The arrangements were done quickly but not so quickly that you worry about disrespect, you know? A week later and I have his urn and we've set up a memorial in the house for him. No one wants to think about these things but pricing is transparent and gotten out of the way quickly. And yes, it's pricy but what isn't? This is emergency care. Get pet insurance!!!! Honestly, I would have gone bankrupt if it helped but there is unfortunately a limit to things that can be treated and the doctor said it best: "age is not a disease". So hopefully your fur babies live long, happy lives and that you only have to go for minor inconveniences but if you do have an emergency, this location was clean, professional and fairly easy to get to. I had broken my ankle last year so walking has been a challenge but I got around just fine, even carrying around my 20lb lump of love. Thank you all again. I don't know when I'll be ready for another pet but I don't regret all the years of love. Once time has softened the pain, and years go by, I hope you all stick around and do what you ALL have done so well and maybe I'll see you again...Hopefully under better circumstances. Wishing you all love and peace and kindness.

Initially we thought the bird was dead, but it wasn't. However, it was very lethargic. We tried to provide it some heat and thought it might be a good idea to bring it to Boston commons. On our way there, we stumbled upon VEG ER for pets which was open 24 hours and had images of birds and other animals displaying on their TV (it can be care to find vets that care for avians). They let us in, we explained the situation, and they gave us two fair options - let the vet check it out and if they determine there is little hope for recovery, ethically euthanize it, or, if it does show signs of recovery after 30 min - 1 hr, they'd bring it to Boston Commons. We didn't have time to stick around for the final decision, but I do hope it did recover. The staff there was really friendly, thanked us for being good Samaritans, and had us fill out a form. They also did offer us complimentary snacks and beverages. I was satisfied with my unexpected visit here.

That one cost me over $1000 too,for something I was told would cost around $250. When I came in for the last few visits, nobody ever seemed to know why I was there. There seemed not to be communication or professionalism. Their prices were exorbitant, too! I really regret not having switched to my current vet sooner.
