I was threatened with collections over a clerical error less than 12 hours after leaving the vet. I had been bringing my cat to Bond Vet because she has been dealing with ongoing health issues, and until this experience I trusted the clinic. Unfortunately, my last visit completely changed that. At my appointment on **July 6, 2026**, I paid the invoice that was presented to me and left believing my account was paid in full. After I got home, I received a voicemail informing me that Bond Vet had accidentally failed to charge me for my cat's prescription and that I would need to pay the remaining balance. By the time I received the message, the clinic had already closed, so there was no way for me to resolve the issue that evening. The next morning, while I was at work, I received multiple phone calls from the clinic. Before I had a reasonable opportunity to return those calls or make the payment, I received a text message threatening to send my account to collections if I did not pay immediately. For those who understand the collections process this effectively means they would sell my "debt" and someone else will try to collect/ take me to court to recover it. To be clear, this was **Bond Vet's billing error--not mine.** The balance existed only because the prescription had been left off my original invoice. I never refused to pay it, and I paid it as soon as I was able after receiving the threat (less than 24 hours after the appointment). What disappointed me even more was the clinic's response when I tried to discuss the situation with management. Rather than acknowledging that threatening collections less than one business morning after their own billing mistake was inappropriate, the General Manager told me she was "doing me a favor" by sending the collections warning, insisted the communications were "quite nice," and offered only, "I'm sorry you were offended" and "I'm sorry it hurt your feelings." I wasn't looking for anything unreasonable. I simply expected an acknowledgment that the situation had been handled poorly and that patients shouldn't be threatened with collections before they've had a reasonable opportunity to correct a mistake the clinic made. I also emailed Bond Vet's corporate office outlining my concerns in detail and requesting a response. They haven't replied yet. Everyone makes mistakes, including businesses. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of accountability, poor customer service, and an unnecessarily aggressive approach to collecting a balance that resulted from the clinic's own error. Negative one Star is what this place deserves! Don't let the "updated cute facilities in the very specific communities" fool you!! First of all they don't accept cash. Excuse me! The website CLEARLY states cash is accepted. Their excuse? They don't have a register. So GET ONE! I've never been to a vet that doesn't accept cash! Secondly, if you're there for more than one pet they charge you separately vs just having a single BILL w the total amount due for both pets. That means swiping your card twice and making it confusing for me as a neurodivergent person. Last, this is what finally made me decide to leave a review. I was just there on 4/8. When it was time to pay my bill I decided to use my CCR card. Because again, they refuse cash, I shouldn't have to announce I'm using a CCRC. They had me use the tap system only to tell me that they couldn't accept that because they didn't understand how that even went through. It just couldn't be right and even though it was showing up as PAID on their system....no way that could be right. I think three people had to come to talk to me about a bill that was CLEARLY PAID. I showed them that the payment went through! This woman is going on and on about CCRC being a "fake credit card" because it's actually a loan blah blah blah. Bruh! I know that! Honestly, that's not everyone's BUSINESS. I've used that card before and I obviously paid off the "loan" because I have credit available. Also all credit cards are all basically "loans" (yes yes I know it's credit but bare w me) because it's not free money. The bill still has to be paid!! Loan or credit card!!! She insisted on calling a CC representative which would have had her on hold for 45+ minutes. Despite the fact that I am SHOWING HER THAT THE PAYMENT DID GO THROUGH!!! I couldn't even get a receipt for my records because their system wouldn't provide one because again CCRC is a "fake credit card". Now, I'm being charged a paper statement fee by CCRC. I signed up for paperless since I was approved for that LOAN! I KNOW WHAT CC IS! There's absolutely NO NEED to yell it out loud so that everyone can hear it! Good thing nobody was there. I still haven't received a copy of the bill payment for my records!!! There are better ways to deal with a mistake YOUR EMPLOYEE IS responsible for. And it didn't have to be the way it happened! Absolutely NOT!!! I already didn't like going there because of the "no cash" which is RIDICULOUS! But after this last visit, NEVER AGAIN!! Now I have to call CCRC to dispute paper statement fee. Because I'm pretty sure they're charging me that fee for a receipt I still haven't received. I honestly deserve a huge apology! But I won't hold my breath. I'm also 100% sure that would have NEVER happened had I been a white woman!!! My son was there, he actually noticed how she was acting. My dogs need dental work. I've been a Bone client for the last 3 years. We started with Camille Rivera who absolutely helped me get my dog the right treatment when we were getting the run around with certain specialists. For a while I was afraid to see anyone else- but of course we found Brianne Keane and she's been exceptional! She helped me find an eye specialist when we needed a quick appointment and she even had my skiddish pup sitting in her lap today giving her kissing during his exam. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Our other angels here are without a doubt our #1 nurse Deann (she is always a non negotiable in our visits) and Jade the practice manger always orchestrates things beautifully for my anxious pup. These ladies certainly make what could be a stressful experience much more smooth for the owner and the pup! read more

AI phone system results constant spiraling with the same questions again and again. If you play the AI game long enough, they will "connect you to an agent" which is a recorded message that directs you to use their ridiculous AI system or leave a message, which you can't do because its full. They are a huge operation, very financially driven, spend less on the CEO, ditch the AI bs and get someone to answer the phones. read more

I've reviewed the Somerville location before (just a couple of months ago) and gave them five stars as well. I've got a new puppy (6months old) and was super stressed about leaving him for the first time, especially after only a little over a month together. He apparently started getting GI issues, was not eating, and became dehydrated. She knew I went to Bond Vet and called to schedule an appointment just in case it wasn't anxiety or nerves (he's a nervous boi for sure). She's closer to the Seaport location, so I told her to go ahead and take him there. They communicated with her easily through text, asking her to upload his medical records. When she told them they already had his records, they canceled the original appointment and created a new one under his existing account. The next day, they text me to make sure she could make decisions on my behalf. I received a text from the vet after his appointment with a quick summary, an email with the full summary, and an email with the invoice of the visit. My card was already on file, so she didn't have to worry about paying anything herself. I was also able to easily download the medical record and receipt to submit to my insurance (can do it from the app as well if needed). I know they're a little pricey, but the fact there are multiple locations if an appointment is needed and the communication is so easy makes me feel a whole lot better about going there. I'm not even sure where to begin, but my experience with Bond Vet has made it clear they're more interested in making money than genuinely helping pet owners. Back in December, I brought my service animal in to get the necessary international travel documents for a trip over the holidays. That trip never happened because Bond Vet insisted my dog needed a specific test. Unfortunately, the results didn't come back in time--causing me to cancel my travel plans and lose the money I spent on flights. Now, months later, I'm ready to travel again and returned to Bond Vet to complete the process. To my surprise, they told me I had to repeat the exact same two tests--costing $765--not including the paperwork fees and other charges. Altogether, they quoted me over $1,400. I decided to take matters into my own hands and contacted the Chief Veterinarian in the country I'm traveling to. I was told my dog did not need the additional tests or vaccinations Bond Vet was requiring. One of the tests wasn't even relevant or recognized. I forwarded this information to Bond Vet, and only then did they admit the test wasn't necessary and agreed to reimburse me for it. However, they offered no apology and still wanted me to pay over $700 for paperwork and a parasite treatment. At the end of the day, it feels like they care more about upselling and billing than doing what's right. If you're considering Bond Vet, be cautious--especially when it comes to international travel. My critically ill dog needed fluids. Bond Vet refused to administer them unless I agreed to a rabies vaccine. Yes -- a vaccine for a gravely ill dog instead of the urgent treatment he needed. I took him to a different veterinary practice where he immediately received proper care. Bond Vet then terminated our relationship by email instead of taking responsibility. This is not medicine, it's corporate policy at the expense of pets' lives. Avoid at all costs. read more

I just moved to Boston and I really like this vet (I have been here a few times). The staff is very friendly and clearly love animals. It is VERY convenient- not just in location (I live in the Seaport) but you are able to book appointments online, and they have nice long hours. Several other vets have limited hours and it seems it take weeks to get into them, but I never have an issue scheduling an appointment here. The office is big and clean, with lots of treats and toys for your dog (although I've never had to wait long enough that I needed to entertain her). It is a bit on the expensive side, and I sometimes feel like they're trying to sell me on "extras" (in the way of products, such as dental chews). But overall, I am happy with this vet. read more

I've been twice so far with my new puppy and love it! Every one is very friendly and timely. I love the ability to see all details in the app. The staff was great and called to let me know I had our second visit scheduled too early to get all the right vaccines and were able to get me rescheduled appropriately. At the end of every visit, they walk you through each line item of the bill. They always take the time to explain the reasoning behind each vaccine/procedure they are recommending and answer any questions I have about health, behavior, cost, side effects, etc. HOWEVER docking one star because every time I've been so far the exam rooms have been FILTHY. Like bathing myself and my dog immediately after leaving level filthy. I had to pick up tufts of another pets hair/fur (very clearly several different pets ...) to prevent my dog from eating them. Just a little concerning when they are telling me my puppy is too young /unvaccinated to be going to high traffic dog areas. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are taking proper precautions and it's just because I've had appointments at the very end of the day, but that is my biggest complaint/concern. read more

MY DOG DIED. Do NOT GO HERE!!! They misdiagnosed my baby puppy who caught leptospirosis. They said he has a congenital defect and I can just try to get him an ultra sound within the following months. I went to Angell vet the next day and they told me he was dying of leptospirosis. Bond Vet Seaport told me my dog was okay to go home and after a day of giving him nothing but anti nausea my puppy passed. If I would've taken him to the emergency instead of BOND VET SEAPORT maybe my puppy would be alive now. They were apathetic and basically shrugged it off. Once you speak with the doctor, they give you a detailed price list for everything they are recommending so you can see how much you might spend upfront before making any decisions. Vets are going to be expensive regardless, so I appreciate the transparent pricing. The place is very clean and cute! The staff at the front desk and the veterinary assistants were all great and friendly. The doctor was very informative, gave us a lot of details and options when answering our questions. The saga of our interaction with Bond Vet, and their Call Center and ? in-clinic staff, continues to decline. Bond Vet's ("correspondence") performance is abysmal (and irresponsible). We got to Tufts University Veterinary Medical Center, and there were no records or radiographs from Bond Vet, as was supposed to be the case. This is despite repeated, painful, attempts to talk with Bond Vet's Call Center staff and ? in-clinic staff. I'm looking at the email that someone at Bond Vet sent to Tufts, and (1) they used the wrong email suffix; the person at Bond Vet used, @tuft.edu, not, @tuftS.edu, and (2) the Medical Record that Bond Vet attempted to send to Tufts, states that our dog was seen at Bond Vet's Williamsburg (Brooklyn) clinic, not their Seaport (Botson) clinic. I've never been to Brooklyn, NY (and neither has our dog). The above, in my opinion, is a continuum of the "demise of service/customer service" in America. I would highly recommend avoiding Bondvet at all costs. My dog was having urinary issues. I brought him in for an exam. They took a urinary sample and blood work. I never received any follow up. I tried connecting several times and was finally able to get through. They could not locate the urinary sample or blood work. It is more concerning that there was never any follow up. They made sure they charged $720 up front and processed the transaction immediately. I brought my dog to redraw and they were trying to charge another visit for his urinary issue. If they had evaluated properly the first visit a follow visit would not have been necessary. I decided it was in the best interest of my dog to go to another vet. read more

Overpriced and Overrated - A Disappointing Experience at Bond Vet I am writing this review to share my recent experience with Bond Vet. I found their services to be overrated, overpriced, and lacking in both experience and communication. During a regular visit for my two dogs, I was charged an exorbitant fee of $1400. They suggested several expensive exams, some of which I agreed to. However, the follow-up was extremely poor. I received an email after 5-6 days with no explanation of the test results. There was no call from the vet or any clinic member to check on the status of my dogs, which I found very unprofessional. To add to my disappointment, they suggested a return visit a month later for a 'boost vaccine' (I didn't know this was a thing). but I agreed to return. On my return, I was shocked to learn that this would cost me an additional $400 for both pets. When I tried to explain that I had already paid for all the shots during the previous visit, and the previous nurse told me that I all I'd be charged was for the visit (about $50 per pet) they disagreed. I left the clinic feeling frustrated and vowed never to return. I believe it's important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. It seems to me that most of their vet nurses or assistants lack knowledge and are more interested in the money than the well-being of the pets they are supposed to care for. I used the telehealth services first over the weekend because my dog was having trouble eating due to sensitivity with his mouth. they recommended I come in and got me an appt within two days and refunded my telehealth visit. in person the were very kind and I did not have to wait. they recommended that I make a dental appt. and gave my dog antibiotics for an infected gum line/tooth. the experience was great, I got to stay with my dog the whole time, and they did not nickel and dime me. instead of taking blood work (which angel would've done without even asking) they told me to wait until I got the dental appointment so that he would only need one set of blood work drawn in case I had to wait a few weeks for a dental visit. read more
