We took our pup here for a routine wellness exam since we wanted to find a new vet clinic. Parking can be a bit challenging since it's in Clarendon but we know where to find free parking so we didn't have issues. The staff was very friendly at the front desk and we didn't have to wait too long to be seen. The vet tech and the vet were helpful and answered all our questions. The exam was also held in the room we were in so it was a bit easier on our dog who was already nervous being there. They even did the bloodwork in the room with us as we held and hugged our dog. They didn't push any services and didn't make us feel like we had to pay up. We'll come back here just for the sake of convenience, the level of care our dog received, and for not upselling to us. read more

Bond Vet is still the best. Easy, last-minute, online booking. Same-day appointments also available. The lobby is huge, airy and with lots of natural light and cute seating (designed with humans and pets in mind). Right by the entrance there is water for dogs and a treats box. Doctor is very nice, knowledgeable and gentle. Always a pleasant experience. And our pup got more treats than he could dream of. read more

All this place seems to care about is taking your money. They truly don't give a fuck about the pets.My dog was in pain, and they sat there and refused to provide service after barely even trying for a minute. The vet came in with a horrible attitude and talked to me like I was stupid. If you're unhappy with your fucking job, then don't work here. It's that simple.Pets deserve compassion, patience, and proper care not people who make you feel like a problem when you're trying to get help for your animal. read more

Caused my pet to experience seizures based on meds they administered him where I am still trying to resolve today. Any follow ups for help with that issue they charged for a problem they caused. I have never heard from the vet or anyone at the clinic to ask about my pet. No compassion, all about how much and how often they can charge. read more

I've been bringing my Husky here for over a year after switching from Banfield, and I've never looked back. They are incredibly easy to work with, especially when it comes to managing my dog's severe skin allergies. The doctors always take the time to help and consistently provide the right medications to keep his symptoms under control. The staff and doctors are all super friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I highly recommend them! read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel the need to warn others. Communication was poor from start to finish. When I questioned the unexpected pricing, I was simply told there was nothing they could do. This was especially frustrating because I came in expecting to pay no more than $80, after being told the only cost for the follow-up would be a single $68 shot. During the initial visit, I was clearly told that if I brought proof my pet had already received a vaccine dose, it would count and no additional dose would be needed at the follow-up. Instead, I was charged over $200, which directly contradicted what I had been told. I was also put in a difficult position--if I declined the additional shot, I would have had to restart the entire vaccine series, essentially wasting the $500 I had already spent at the initial visit. That kind of pressure, combined with the lack of transparency, felt very unfair. There was also a complete lack of empathy. I felt like a transaction, not a concerned pet owner. On top of that, additional fees were added without being communicated beforehand, and there was no manager available onsite to address concerns. Overall, this felt like a money grab with poor communication, no accountability, and no compassion. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for honest and transparent care. read more

Don't be fooled by the nice facade or the cutesy things in this business. All that glitters isn't gold. The lack of compassion, communication, and timely care highlights this business. I hope you would reconsider trying or staying with this group. I had moved to this business for my senior cat thinking they would have the best care, technology, and referral system for him but they don't. He became pretty ill and the approach to his care was subpar without follow up. He just got worse and when we came back to check we felt that we were just being pushed around because the holiday weekend was approaching. My cat died after a couple of days. I had to inform them about his death the same day so we can cancel our appointments and I didn't hear back from them until 3 days later. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Frontanes at Bond Vet Clinic in Arlington. Scheduling online was quick and easy, the location is convenient, and the office is clean and welcoming. My cat and I were seen immediately, and everyone we interacted with--the receptionist, tech, and Dr. Frontanes--was friendly, efficient, and clearly focused on my cat's comfort. We were in and out in under 30 minutes for her annual exam, with no rushing and far less stress than we've experienced at other clinics. Pricing was very reasonable and fully transparent, with clear explanations of what was recommended, what was necessary, and what I could choose to skip. They also helped us set up their online prescription service, which is easy to use and more affordable than our previous option. Highly recommend Dr. Frontanes and Bond Vet Clinic. read more

consistently great care team. very nice facility designed to feel welcoming to dogs. my older guy has been going in for checkups ahead of a dental procedure and he has a positive association with the location because he knows he'll get attention and treats. parking is a bit annoying but this is a great primary vet if you live in the area. pricey but its arlington. read more

My pudelpointer, Whitney, had some tummy issues and Bond Vet was so great to her! It reminded me a lot of One Medical, but for dogs. Her first appointment was discounted and I was able to book a next day appointment online through their website- five stars for that alone!! The exam room was really calming/clean. There was an abundance of free treats in both the waiting and exam rooms, including a dehydrated chicken that my pup fell in love with. We actually bought a bag on our way out. The vet and technicians were so sweet to her! The vet walked me through the plan to get her tested and make her feel better, and pricing was clear. I especially loved the vet who saw her, who was training to work at the Bethesda location - and think we'll try to follow her there when it opens. read more

Cute updated office with lots of amenities but a few major concerns. 1) the doctor said "your dog is too young to have so many problems" (because he has allergies to chicken and pollen...) and was extremely condescending 2) they don't let you go back with your pet when they need vaccines. It feels a little weird to be honest and like what are you hiding? 3) she kept trying to upsell me on non core vaccines for Lyme and heart worm even though my dog is on preventative and his heart worm was negative My dog loves our normal vet but he was visibility nervous here. Honestly in good faith would not recommend at least the doctor we had. read more

Money hungry business. They said they truly care for your pets, but in reality they will do everything in their power to tack on extra charges to get more money out of your pockets. Took our dog in for an emergency visit as she had a hole in her leg that was bleeding. We walked into what seemed like a reputable establishment, we didn't do much research into finding the best vets around us as we just wanted to take our dog to the closest facility. When the bill estimation came out there were numerous charges on there where we thought was either an error an unnecessary charge. One of them being the visitation/consultation fee, they tried to charge us $150 even after we were promised a discounted $25 fee by one of the front desk members. We got the price reduced back down to $25 after few minutes of going back and forth. My dog got her stitches two days ago. Even with an e-collar and constant monitoring of my dog, stitches came undone in 2 days. Paid about $600 for stitches to come undone in 2 days. After calling and being put on hold for many minutes, they eventually told us to come in and that they'll take a look at it. We assumed that because it has been such a short period of time that surely a reputable business would offer a customer a discount on restitching the area. Instead we were given an option of $25 credit or headed to another vet that they recommended for a second opinion. Place is a joke and a money sink. Also, they only had 1 vet on staff when we went in for the stitching with so many appointments per day I HIGHLY doubt 1 single licensed vet would be able to give 20+ dogs a day the care, time and attention they need. They are apparently short on vets. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

We took our 10 week old pup to bond vet, and they were absolutely incredible! Staff were kind, caring, and played with the pup. The vet took time to explain everything, answered our questions, and most importantly, did it all with a smile! They also took an appointment same day (which almost doesn't exists in the DMV). All around great vet! (I wished my doctor's office was this nice) read more

Beautiful modern styled office! Parking was easy even on a busy weekday. I enjoyed the team at this location. I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable thanks to the gentleman at the front desk (I will get his name and update this post). He was caring and has a wonderful personality. Making my appointment was quick and easy online. I truly appreciate the last minute availability. Since COVID it seems like most veterinary hospitals are booked for weeks. The doctor & nurse that assessed my kitten were very friendly & knowledgeable. Pricing was upfront and fair. I was fully informed of what needed to happen and asked if I was okay with everything BEFORE any procedure was completed. I needed assistance a couple of days after my appointment and the team was quick to help! I highly recommend this location! read more

Scammy place. My cat was throwing up hair balls so I took him to the closest vet. Basically the vet said yep sounds like it's just hairball, and proceeded to offer 1. Blood work test 2. x ray 3. Urine test 4. IV fluid (just water) all of which added up to over $1000 and only really the x ray is needed to see if there's a full blockage. And we thought the whole point of going to the vet is to get medication to treat the symptoms. They just told us at check out, oh there's no prescription, you just need to feed him a lubricant that's over the counter at any petsmart. Well would've been nice to know before we paid for all this stuff??!! I could've totally skipped this visit and my cat would've been fine. The nurse we had was not qualified at all (he was literally googling stuff up when we asked him questions). However they were nice to us and our cat. Another issue is the lack of privacy at check in and check out. They repeated my personal information including my physical address and birthday out loud and the whole lobby could hear. When I checked out their system kept declining my card and they had the audacity to say that it's due to insufficient fund (LOL! Not true) and again the whole lobby could hear. Very bad experience. read more

Our first visit here was very pleasant, was just for a wellness exam, vaccinations and everything went smoothly. We picked BondVet because they were the only animal hospital in the area that had availability. The vet was patient with our rescue dog, good with reading his body language and was able to get a thorough full body examination without any issues. We came back for follow up vaccines and all was well, even got his nails trimmed. Our third and most recent visit left us questioning whether or not we'd want to come back. Our rescue dog was already stimulated by the multiple dogs and cats in the lobby, and upon entering the examination room, there was not only the vet but also two techs already standing inside the small room compounding to his anxiety. While the vet was clear on diagnosing our dog's skin condition it felt like they were rushing through the appointment and not letting our clearly stressed out and reactive dog decompress before trying to further move on with the examination. He unfortunately peed, and then also showed teeth signaling for them to back off. (Our dog has never shown aggression, we just had a training session the day before and our trainer even mentioned how calm he was). It was then decided to take him to the back room for him to be further examined without us. Our dog was shortly brought back and we were told he had bit the other vet tech and so they could not further examine his ears and abdomen. We were prescribed antibiotics for his skin, ear cleaning solution, and sedatives for further visits. When paying, the pricing was different than what the original quote was but they ended up refunding up a small amount. Overall, my main gripe was that we felt that our examination was very rushed, perhaps it was corporate trying to stuff as many appointments in all the slots; more exams = more money and having too many people in the small exam room like another review had commented about. While the facility is nice, free treats and toys, we will definitely reconsider going to another animal hospital in the area for our future needs. read more

I brought my brand new puppy here and they were amazing. I appreciated the insight they had on additional vaccines she may need, especially since she's in a daycare and around other dogs all day long 3 days a week. I've read the other reviews here, and it seems like the "bad" reviews are single bad experiences or folks not used to vets and not understanding how things work - I think my appointment went beautifully and look forward to the team being my Lola's forever vet. read more

Great place. First off they allow walk ins which none of the surrounding places were able to do. Secondly, the environment is very welcoming, granted we came early on a Monday so not too many people in with their pets. And finally the service was phenomenal. They took their time with us and our pet cat, they were detailed with their explanations on things, testing for certain issues, and actually cared about our needs and the needs of our cat without making us feel rushed. Costs seem pretty standard too, $95 for a exam/consultation, meds were $66 and $34 for pain meds/ antibiotics. The only thing that was pricey was lab work, but it was checking for multiple potential health issues for our cat. Definitely will come back here again just because of the customer service. read more

Let me be clear from the start that I have made numerous efforts to resolve my issues directly with customer service. After being solicited numerous times in FB by Bond Vet Arlington advertising themselves to be " a new kind of clinic" and offering an initial $25 appointment for first visits, I relented and made an appointment to try it out for my 2 Portuguese Water Dogs. My regular and favorite vet is 30 miles away and I am always on the lookout for a vet who is closer. I had a very very bad experience with Bond Arlington. To start with, the reception desk staff (as well as all staff) seemed under-trained requiring me to repeat my information several times before checking us in. They seemed more interested in talking to each other about what may have been their social plans. The exam room was very small and uncomfortable. This was made worse by the fact that 3 different young technicians (all under-trained) were in the room for no clear reason (other than perhaps training). The room certainly was not big enough for the 3 techs, my two dogs and the vet. The attending vet seem frazzled and to have no previous relationship with the techs or the equipment in the room. It appears that she was only there on this day from a nearby clinic. This lack of familiarity is what may have led to my dog being shoved off the examining table and as I later discovered sustaining a painful injury (he limped for several days). The worst part of the visit was the way the staff communicates about the cost of the options -- instead of printing options out with clear prices -- they make you look into their device (I think an ipad or laptop) in order to make a decision. Not at all very smart given covid and monkey pox as you have to stand very near to look on as they hold it. One of my dogs was diagnosed with ear and skin infections. When I noticed that the medication they were prescribing was extremely higher than what I had paid for similar medicine before and declined to get it there -- then they came back and said that they would match chewy. When I indicated I would rather get it from Chewy, they mishandled their communications with Chewy several times and I wasn't able to get what I needed from Chewy for more than 2 weeks. The bigger problem is that one of the medications was not carried by Chewy and they refused to fill it from another pharmacy and eventually even by them. At check out they charged me a full fee for my second dog saying that the promotion applied only to one dog and not to a first visit. Very misleading, very tricky. Trying to get help getting the medication from costumer service (by email the only way really made possible) led only to several more weeks of delay and by now frustration. Apparently they run as a kind of franchise and the costumer service is just window dressing as serves mostly to send robot like messages. When after nearly a month of not being able to obtain a prescription for the ear infection, they sent a message saying that they were ending the relationship! I now understand that a glossy and relentless ad campaign is no indication of the quality of service and to be more careful. Beware. After reading yelp reviews, I have learned now that there are other caring and experienced vets in the area who use no gimmicks and provide loving pet care. I have taken the time to write this review because I love my dogs, dogs in general and appreciate the vets that care for them. read more

they recommended that my dog go through surgery to take a broken nail out. They advised me that it could get infected. I agreed. They put him to sleep. He has never been the same again. He can hardly walk, play, or just react like a regular dog. I went back to them for a evaluation about two weeks after the surgery. They charge me again to let me know that it seems that the paw seem to have gotten infected and its swollen. they stated that he had some type of trauma. The only trauma was me taking him to them, and agreed to the surgery they should have not charge me again to evaluate him after the surgery This was a procedure that they did and it had complications because they didn't do it correctly. read more

I haven't had one visit that didn't require a follow up. I brought my adopted dog in for an initial wellness check and they immediately requested I switch to a different a different dog food brand. I switched him and then he started having diarrhea that I brought him in for. I mentioned the food switch but they didn't look into that at all and gave him some medicine and a probiotic. I went through the whole course of that and told them that his symptoms had not improved and they just ran tests and gave more medicine. That still didn't help so I just decided to try switching the protein base and his diarrhea cleared right up. Later on he had a lesion under his chin that had not healed in a couple of weeks. They just gave me some antiseptic wipes that did not help, so I brought him in again and they actually ran a test and found out it was a bacterial infection and gave antibiotics during that visit that cleared it right up. Additionally during that visit, I mentioned he was having car sickness but they didn't want to prescribe anything to help and mentioned to get a travel crate and give him ginger. This did not help and so now I'm out an additional $150 for a travel crate that I don't need. Staff is nice and I do like the location and facilities. But I've just not had any diagnosis that had been helpful for a dog that is overall very healthy. read more

This place is not a real veterinary clinic, from the first minute they have the chance they are trying to sell you a bunch of things your pet does not need. They take advantage that we as pet owners will do anything for our dogs and cats, and that is their modus operandi. They also provide the wrong information when you request prices before making an appointment then they triple it once you are there. I had heard a lot of rumors about this from my neighbors but the reception area looked so nice from outside I was suckered in by the nice marketing. The vets are not compassionate and are much more focused on how much they can make money on you. Extremely disappointing and in fact rather shocking that people who are supposed to care for animals behave in this manner. read more

We took Willow in for her first vet appointment with us (she just got home 3 days ago). We wanted to take advantage of the $25 first exam fee, so we went in today to get her checked. Dr. Jacobsen and all the vet techs we saw were very welcoming and treated Willow with a great care. We were able to get her checked, get the vaccines, and take home the prescription she needed. Price was shared with us upfront before getting any procedures done which was great. We can't wait to be back at Bond Vet! read more

My pup Milan got into some chocolate and our usual veterinarian was closing and recommended we go to an ER. Fortunately, we found Bond Vet Clarendon online and everyone from customer service to Jennifer who worked at the specific location was more than helpful and understanding. The call to ASPCA Poison Control took over 30 minutes and Jennifer fortunately let my pup Milan and I sit in a private room while on the phone. Milan was showing no signs of poisoning and she honestly was so excited to be here she thought it was a field trip. In the end, poison control recommended I watch Milan closely over the next few hours and days and Jennifer provided me a sheet of phone numbers, including Bond Vet's nurses just incase Milan were to show signs of issue. I am SO incredibly grateful for Bond Vet Clarendon and Jennifer. They made us feel welcome even though we were a walk-in. Highly recommend this place. We look forward to coming back on a non-emergency basis. read more

Our senior mini schnauzer lost his upper canine today at the dog park--he has bad teeth but we were worried and wanted to get him in today to make sure there's no root or infection. We called about eight different emergency vets so he could be seen today. Bond answered the phone, got us in right away, made sure we were all good and set us up with antibiotics and painkiller, and we were in and out in less than an hour. Very happy with their care, and honestly pricing was very reasonable for emergency vet care--I was expecting the bill to be much more based on past experience with other pets. We will bring our furkids back. read more

The worst veterinarian experience ever. We came home from vacation on 4th of July weekend to a sick cat who was peeing blood and throwing up. Had to find a place open so we went here. After charging us $1000.00 for ultrasound and blood tests, etc., we got a message, a week later, that said they messed up the test results and basically have nothing to tell us. A WEEk later, AND no results to help us. Horrible experience. Do not bring your pet there. read more

My dog hurt himself and was limping and not eating. I rushed him here since my normal vet couldn't see him for days. I used the $25 promo they had at the time. The place was very clean and bright. They have free treats in the entryway. The vet and vet tech were very friendly and comforting. Naturally, I was very anxious and worried about him but they explained my options well. Only complaint is parking isn't easy there (especially with a limping dog I wish it was more accessible/closer to the front). read more

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful staff. My senior pup came in about year ago, very ill- very suddenly. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge that day. The process of her journey was done with such care and respect. It was calm and peaceful ending of her life. I was given time before and after the process. The atmosphere they created for the process was so thoughtful, dimmed the lights and provided a blanket for her. Asked about her life and listen, actually listened about her. The cremation services they used were excellent. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are in good care, respected, honored as human who loves their pet. I would like to add- they have a wheelchair access and a room designed for wheelchair users. A nice restroom for all, and a place to donate to the community. I donated my pup's senior stairs and clothes- it gave me a chance to share with others in her legacy. Thank you to the staff. read more

Would never return here. Bad business model leads to poor customer care. No discussion about the cost of vet school excuses bad service model of late fees, appointment changing fees, nine minute late policies, etc. Walk-ins and urgent care are more lucrative, is my guess, in terms of punitive policies without regard. The only reason to visit Bond is if you don't have a car, live in the busy block where this place is located, or your dog has a stroke in front of the building. I never even got to the door and they were calling me about nine minutes... 540 seconds. I was parking on the busy block as the call came, and I could have made it. Instead I was told that they'd not see me for the appt. I spent my hour of paid leave taken to go to this appointment with my dog writing this review and making an appointment elsewhere. The 40 minutes on the intake, uploading records only to have their system crash, is a wash. I tried to call but there's no obvious direct way to speak with someone by location. It was a sick visit. I believed they had parking. I couldn't find it or get anyone to answer the phone while I was driving around looking for parking. Shame. My pup is. Year old with many years of care ahead. read more

My cat had a medical issue, of course over the weekend, and Bond Vet in Arlington was recommended by another emergency vet clinic, which had a long wait time. I made an early appointment on their website, which was a good option since there seemed to be a constant stream of people coming in with their pets. The vet, vet techs and receptionist were all very nice and professional. They were gentle and respectful of my cat, who is not an easy patient. When they were unable to carry out several procedures because of my cat's lack of cooperation, rather than cause him additional stress, they provided options. I was promised a vet report in 24-48 hours and and received it within about 7 hours. It did have a couple of mistakes but when I emailed them -- after hours -- the vet responded almost immediately with apologies and a corrected report and I give them credit for the quick action. I already have an established vet for my cat and Clarendon is too far from where I live, but I wouldn't hesitate to go there again in an emergency. read more

I see some of the reviews being upset that the $25 examination fee was not the only cost. This is true, if you have concerns about your pet. However, this is not the fault of the veterinary office or any of the employees. I am a woman in her early 20s with a 5 year old corgi that I love to death. I can't explain how helpful and patient all of the employees were with me when I was figuring out the cost and alternative options. They let me sit in a room with my puppy for over an hour and consistently came in to check on me and provide new options for payment and kindly answered every question I had. I was treated with the utmost respect and confidence as a dog owner. I feared that being a young woman I would be talked into paying way outside of my budget but I absolutely was not. Dr. Romina Cohen explicitly explained why she wanted to run some tests on Gizmo and gave me her recommendations and then let ME choose which I would be able to do. I was then helped immensely by all of the staff to determine what the best course of action would be for my financial situation. I absolutely did not assume I would simply pay $25 for the entire appointment, the same as if a doctors office would offer the same discount and then find out they need to get bloodwork. It is not logical nor fair to place the blame on the staff and veterinarians for wanting to run tests to help your animal just because it costs more money. They are doing their jobs, and they do them with care, compassion, love for animals, and respect. I did not feel judged even though I sat in a room with my puppy for an hour on the phone with my mom. Dr. Romina Cohen even spoke directly to me rather than to my mother on the phone when explaining procedures, which is not something I have encountered at a veterinarian office before, they usually see me as a little girl and want to talk to an adult. I was blown away by their willingness to help me and my puppy! read more
