I took my Bully to him yesterday and they treated my dog with love and care. He fully explained the issue and gave us some meds and recommendations to get Brutus back to the path of wellness. I will not go to any other Vet other than Dr. Eric....he's the truth and it seems my pooch is already feeling better. They have VERY good fees and regardless it's worth every coin spent! I wanted to follow up from my previous review, this past weekend I had to put my cat Baby Girl to sleep. I called Nova Mobile crying not wanting to face the obvious. Stephanie was awesome! Unfortunately, Dr. Cryan wasn't available, but the compassion Stephanie showed meant just as much. She told me where to take Baby Girl and what to say. NoVa Mobile Vet was my vet of record for years. However, when I was accused of animal cruelty by Prince William County Animal Control, they said they couldn't do business with me after consulting their lawyer. The problem is that I got the case dismissed because there was no cruelty which was conveyed to them. PWC Animal Control offered to speak to them to alleviate their concerns. They refused. They would have been called as a defense witness because they would know the conditions of the home and the pets. Their records helped prove that my dogs were healthy and not abused. They have since ghosted me when I have attempted to contact them for shots and other treatments for my dogs. Their actions have put me in a bind as I try to find ways to get my dogs treated especially when I am handicapped. This is a fair weather doctor so beware if anything goes not to their liking, you may be left without timely care for your pets. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Cryan and his team. He has provided us with the best care since we moved to Virginia. One of our cats was diagnosed with a terminal illness after an emergency visit at VCA Woodbridge. We were able to spend a few days with our kitty over a long weekend before we knew it was time to say goodbye. We did not want to have to transport her to a facility, as she was already so weak. Thankfully, Dr. Cryan's staff was able to put us on the schedule for a home visit that same evening, even though I know they must have been quite busy after the Labor Day holiday weekend. I wasn't even sure if they would be willing to come into our home due to the pandemic, but we all wore masks and limited contact. Although it was a time of immense sadness, it was exactly what we had hoped to have when the time came. Dr. Cryan and the vet tech gave us a moment alone with our cat after they administered the sedative. He gently talked us through the process and what we might experience once he injected the final medication. He did a quick check to make sure that the procedure was complete and then they let themselves out so we could mourn as a family. We were able to bury her under a big tree where our kitty loved to watch the birds and squirrels. Even though we never want to experience the loss of our beloved pets, I am so thankful for the gift of being able to say goodbye at home in a peaceful setting. read more

I recommend anyone in search of a new vet to come here, or have them come to you! They're fantastic! I adopted my dog back in 2021 and needed to make a vet appointment within 2 weeks of adoption and have proof before I could bring him home. I found NOVA Mobile Vet via Google - I was able to get my little fella scheduled within the timeframe required. The same weekend he came home, I also inherited (2) kittens - I called back and they were able to see all 3. I opted for an office visit. Everyone was great! My pup is a nervous Nelly - it took him 30 minutes to get inside the door of the vet and that was with bribes of cheese wiz lol. They were super patient with him and didn't make us feel rushed. Recently my dog has experienced some skin and ear issues and we've been able to schedule appointments in a timely manner and get him taken care of. The doctor and staff have been great during each visit. My dog has gotten a lot more comfortable over the years going into the office, so now it only takes a minute or 2 before he walks in the door. In a few words -- informative, convenient, and friendly! I met Dr. Cryan years ago through my relatives. He has been treating my dog Lucky (who has recently passed) for 5+ years and has been so great! He is greatly informative, always makes recommendations, and explains a range of different options to consider in order to make certain decisions depending on the situation. Throughout Lucky's long 17.5 years on this earth, he's encountered a pinched nerve, tooth infection, leg spasms, and an irregular growth on his tail. With all the advice, TLC and treatments, Dr. Cryan and his team have always done Lucky right! It is very convenient to have someone come to your home to check up on your pets, especially in difficult situations. I cannot say enough praise for Nova Mobile Vet and the employees. First I spoke with Autumn several times trying to decide the who, where, cost, time, and is my pet really ready. She is extremely helpful and nice. I did not feel rushed or like she had no experience or empathy. Appointments come in 2 hour block windows for arrival from vet. Mine was 7-9 pm on a Friday. Kinda like ordering cable but better. I originally misunderstood that. Here it was 13 minutes before the end of my block and I was nervous because I couldn't get ahold of them. Cameron called and let me know they were on their way and apologized indicating they had an pet emergency. Dr. Cryan and Cameron made euthanasia for my beloved cat of almost 16 years (final stage renal failure) go smoother than I could have imagined. My cat Lillie hated going to the vet office. If only I could have found them sooner. Lillie was not really bothered because they were in his domain. Cost was surprisingly very comparable to my other two local vet offices. Only slightly more and totally worth it. It happens in 2 stages. First animal gets a tiny quick shot of sedative. Then after a minute or so the animal is calm as can be but still conscious. Then stage 2 is getting an IV in the back shaved leg. They shave for you. They give you time. When you are ready they inject the final medication that puts them to sleep forever. They then give you more time. Never rushed or seemed anxious to leave. They left about 10:30 that night. When you are ready they can take the animal with them. We chose private cremation so we could have the ashes back. Ashes are returned Thursdays a week after the first Thursday after your appointment. I hope I helped ease someone's decision writing this review. read more

Felt the need to update my review about NOVA Mobile as I have been a client now for about a year and I feel even more strongly about them than I did previously. From about February until mid July, Dr. King (and usually Tara) were at my house monthly, and then from June until mid-July, weekly, for visits with my German Shepherd, Deacon. He was going downhill fast, but Dr. King did quite literally everything he could to not only extend Deacon's life as long as possible, but give him a really good life until the end. Every visit Dr. King would explain to me what was going on, treatment options, and make sure that what he was doing was truly the best thing for Deacon. Early on in the process of working with him, I told Dr. King I would need him to tell me when it was time. Deacon was my world and I knew I couldn't make the call on my own. The last three weeks he was alive, Dr. King tried everything to keep him healthy - ranging from pain medications to acupuncture. Unfortunately for all parties involved, Deacon was too sick and his disease progressed too quickly. I emailed Dr. King late over the 4th of July weekend one night, knowing he was on vacation, but wanted to give him an update on Deacon as I felt lost and didn't know what to do. He responded very quickly to me- even though I titled my email with 'don't respond until you're back from vacation', knowing that the situation had gone dire. While his email back said what I had been dreading for the past year, that it was time to put him down, he even took the time to call me WHILE HE WAS ON VACATION, to see how I was doing. Dr. King then re-arranged his (and Tara's!) schedule to be the ones to come put Deacon down, as they had been the ones there every step of the way. While the morning we put down Deacon was hands down the worst day of my life to date, I am still so comforted by the compassion they showed throughout the entire process. Even in the midst of a pandemic, they allowed my angel to pass at home, in his favorite napping spot, in the kindest of ways. They made an extremely upsetting process as kind as possible and both Dr. King and Tara are such amazing people. Their true love and devotion to their job and animals is evident and I am forever grateful for the compassion they gave Deacon (and myself) during his last moments on Earth. When Dr. King arrived to put Deacon down, he said he was sorry there wasn't more that he could have done for Deacon. Dr. King, you did more than anyone else would have done. You gave me an amazing last year with him. He looked healthier than he had in years. He played more and had more fire in his life than I had seen in years. You gave him your all and I am forever grateful to you for what you did for him in his last months. I am sad there wasn't a cure for his degenerative myleopathy, but you gave him and I more than I ever thought was possible. There are some things in life you will never forget and how well Dr. King and Tara treated me as a client and Deacon as a patient is one of those things. It is rare to find a business who cares SO deeply about their work, and I cannot say enough about how NOVA Mobile embodies this. Tara and Dr. King are the most amazing pair - and I am forever grateful to the love you showed Deacon in his final moments. I miss him every day and am sobbing writing this but also comforted knowing you did everything you could and he died with the same dignity and grace he brought to this planet every day. If you were ever in doubt about whether or not this vet practice is for you, know that if you want a vet who will show your pets the same love and compassion that you show them, this is the place. We have 3 dogs, 2 senior; one of which is a relatively complicated rescue case.The entire NoVa MV team has worked with us to coordinate and accommodate for her - and we could not be more grateful for the way in which she's been handled. Through clever approaches and a genuine love for their clients we've managed to accomplish things that previous vets ruled out as "impossible" and "unrealistic" given her risks. At each step, they've been exceedingly transparent about what approaches they would prefer, and what is appropriate in her specific scenario. We've seen vets all over the country - and are quite picky in trying to find the best possible fit and care for our pups individually - and I can say without reservation these guys are the real deal and worth every penny (and then some). Dr. King and Tara are exceptional. We have two senior cats. About 6 months ago the male, Loki, started going down hill and acting out as a result. The diagnosis was diabetes, along with a myriad of side issues. It was overwhelming at first, but Dr. King was with us every step of the way and was incredibly patient. Emailing with us for months as we tried to get the insulin dose right, learned the equipment and how to give shots, and then began treating the other issues. We'd email at least weekly with updates and to get further instructions. He's been incredible. This week our female, Lada, started vomiting uncontrollably. Dr. King rearranged his schedule so that he and Tara could make a special trip to examine her. Lada is VERY difficult with vets and Dr. King and Tara were fantastic, gentle, and able to examine her better than most vets have been able to. That examination ultimately led to an emergency room visit and two days in hospital. Dr. King kept checking in with us throughout and spoke with the ER doctors on my behalf when I was not confident in their recommendations. Truly exceptional care. These folks care - I wouldn't hesitate to have them care for any of our animals. read more

I am incredibly grateful we found NOVA Mobile Vet. We adopted our Great Dane four years ago when she was 2 or 3. She had some ongoing health issues and needed frequent veterinary care. Getting her into the vet's office was a challenge, as she is very large whereas I am not, and the veterinary teams we saw seemed less than comfortable handling our gentle giant. Her visits were always a huge production, involving unnecessary precautions, even though she is clearly a very sweet and cooperative girl. Each trip left us both completely stressed which was counterproductive to her health issues. Then we found NOVA Mobile Vet and everything improved. They are great with our girl, are not at all intimidated by her size, got her health issues under control and, best of all, they come to us. We have two cats and one that gets extremely anxious when he has to visit the vet and acts out. Being able to have the vet come to us has really improved his temperament with vet visits. I adopted a "special needs" kitty who, because of the trauma suffered prior to his adoption, is terrified of his pet carrier (and therefore, the vet). When I arrived home from my holiday travels last night, I found that my pet sitter had, unfortunately, neglected my two kitties to the point that the older of the two had such a severe upper respiratory infection that both of his eyes were nearly glued shut with discharge (poor thing!). Obviously I was shocked to find him in such a sickly disposition, and was at a loss for what to do after attempting to force the kitty in his carrier twice (very traumatic for both of us!) before seeking other options. That's when I found Dr. Cyran and NOVA Mobile Vet (after much online searching and calling around to different vets)... they are life savers (quite literally!). Not only did NOVA Moible Vet arrive at my apartment a few hours after I requested an appointment (which was done very easily online), but the fee for doing so was less than what a normal vet visits costs. Dr. Cryan and his assistant were very professional, knowledgeable, and caring about my pets and I look forward to using NOVA Mobile Vet for all my future vet needs. Dr. Cyran also provided me with so much helpful information regarding the care for both cats immediately, and in the future. They also called a few hours later to follow-up, which was much appreciated. Great service, surprisingly affordable prices, and all done in my home where my pets felt comfortable (and so much less stressed/traumatized than if I would've taken them to a vet's office). I booked an appointment via their website. I paid the $55 transport fee. I received emails and confirmed the appointment per the instructions. 30 minutes after my scheduled time, I tried to phone and got no answer. Then I emailed them suggesting a procedure FAQ since I thought I may have missed something. I got a reply that they didn't have me on their schedule for today. They said that they don't understand how I could have made any appointment for today since they are completely booked. They need to look into their Booking software since that's the way they strongly encourage people to book and someone should have noticed a $55 payment and cross-checked it against appointments. They're going to see what they can do. Nice of them. I was already nauseous because I am afraid of what the outcome of this may very well be. It increased as the time passed. Now I am positively sick because I had already steeled myself to the eventuality and I'm angry. I am cancelling and requesting a refund of my $55. He'll get over a car trip. I can't go through this stress again. UPDATE (11/27/14): I had to have my cat put down by stressing him out in a car taking him to his old vet. Today, 2 month and 2 days after this incident, I get the following tweets from the good doctor: ====== generally calling hospital always better than social media. Apologize website can be glitchy.
