I've tried Bonchon before in Las Vegas, and the soy garlic sauce is delicious. It was a bit expensive there, but worth the price. The experience at the Towson location was terrible. The chicken tenders had almost no meat, and were clearly just frozen tenders with barely any sauce on them. i came to this place with my mom when we were searching for food during mother's day. we've ate at bonchon before and even at the one in florida. i can definitely say that the chicken tasted like americanized chicken, the soy garlic sauce was very light and didn't have the same color that soy garlic usually has. it was good chicken, but it was not bonchon chicken. it was more fast food style to cater towards the american community rather than asian community. it was like a popcorn chicken style. also when we walked in, the staff didn't even seem happy to greet us and just stood and talked the entire time. props to the guy mopping the floor though, you did a good job! i do want to say that i ordered the boneless chicken and the food was not that appealing when you opened it. i feel like the box could be smaller because it looks empty. the place was very clean though and nicely decorated read more

If I could give this location zero stars I most definitely would! To start, I called the store about 5 times to update my order and no response. Next, we get to the store and the employee that was handling the register greeted us with an attitude as if we were interrupting her night. The service sucks. The girl that took our order was not friendly and messed up our order but we didn't know until we got our food because our receipt doesn't show what we ordered just what we paid. When we tried to correct it, there was a long line so we had to wait, again, as it took so long to get our food to begin with. The food was ok. The flavor was pretty good but for what it was, and the price, it could have definitely been a lot better. They don't serve anything that can't be made at home and made a lot better. Like others have said, it's more of a "quick-get-in-get-out" version of the Ellicott City Bonchon, which I appreciated since I usually have to wait longer at the latter location. That being said, I was expecting the usual, extremely crunchy, pretty big, wings that I normally get from Ellicott City, but instead I got fairly small wings devoid of the signature crunchiness. Skip this location. This is not like other bonchons. It's their fast food version and the food quality and size reflects that. The prices are the same as a sit down bonchon. You get exactly half as much food as a regular bonchon, it was cold and bland. We had the chicken tenders, bulgogi fried rice and fries. All somehow completely tasteless. Then there's the service. They refused to give us a water cup for my toddler, or plates to share the food family style (like you do at very other bonchon). Worst of all, we were chased down by an employee because we did not clean up to their liking, which is hard to do given the type of trash can they have. This location is full of poorly trained employees with a manager who clearly cares less about running an establishment than dancing around the restaurant. The food was subpar with lack of attention to the recipes that have been put forth by corporate. If I were the CEO- I would start over before it falls by the way of the equally bad Bonchon that lasted less than a year in Canton. Take advice from your northern Virginia locations. Find better management and a training program for your people. Better yet- hire a Chik-fil-A manager to help you get it right. Literally the worst tasting BonChon I've Ever had ordered a 30 piece spicy 12/29/21(cause they ran out of soy garlic) like what???? Went home to enjoy my "Korean fried wings" and it literally tasted like America's best wings, no special battered wings at all. The wings were very small too. I am a fan of Bonchon ever since I began frequenting the Bonchon in Ellicott city Maryland. Unfortunately, I believe that they may be set to high a bar because my experience today at the Towson store left a lot to be desired. I ordered for curbside pick up I arrived and clicked on the link and waited and waited and waited until I finally went into the store and asked where my curbside pick up was. I was told that my car was not in the spot when they went out there. This is not correct and as I have been telling the manager who is texting with me that even if that's the case why would they just put my food on the shelf to get cold and not call me or text me. Not only that but when I said how disappointed I was in the size of the complementary coleslaw I was told they had to downsize due to the rising costs of food. Really? Coleslaw? Anyway, unfortunately I will have to go out of my way to go to Ellicott city from now on because although Towson is closer it certainly was nowhere near as good. I will note that the chicken tasted as it should although it was cold by the time I got it home. Also to be fair, the manager has been texting me based on my feedback and well he states that he "takes responsibility" he still tells me and I was not there when they went outside, except he was not the one who went outside it was a young lady. Well, I had very dry and hard fried wings that lacked flavor. The tenders were also dry, tough and lacked flavor. I did like the seasoned fries, fresh coleslaw and Mac and kimcheese.
