I came to Mint for a 2nd opinion. The dentist was not personable, insisted I get a total of 10 mini implant as he said 'implants cannot be used to bridge a gap'... huh? maybe it's a 'mini' implant issue? .. a total of 12 implants are needed for a permanent lower denture. along with replacement bone $500 a pop in all extraction area's. The Mint dentist gave me an estimate of $10K just for 2 extractions and 5 separate mini implants and I would still have 4 crooked, stained, front bottom teeth to deal with going forward. With the pain and healing of FIVE Implants vs TWO. Its all talk to say less painful and leave with the implant & crown, same day? Not buying it.. literally. Also, no follow up contact after the estimate. I was walked back to a smelly storage room for the Panoramic x-ray, then the dentist barely looked in my mouth and already had the estimate in his hand when he came in the room, was not interested in discussing any other options. When I complained about the bottom plate not staying in, he repeatedly told me I needed to do a different type of implant on the bottom for another$10,000. The bottom implant ONLY has 4 posts. 3 in front, one on the left and NOTHING on the right side to help secure it at all. They actually billed our Delta Dental insurance for my first visit, D0150 for $131! AND to make matters worse, they lied about having me be able to use my Itex account. For those of you who don't know what Itex is, it's a platform businesses use to barter for services. You can Google 'Itex' as well. So my first visit entailed an evaluation for a tooth extraction. With my Itex account and PRIOR to the visit, Kimberly confirmed that I would be able to use my funds in my Itex account to pay for the extraction since my dental insurance didn't cover it. So I scheduled with them and went over everything with the so-called complimentary evaltions with regard to my extraction I even confirmed again that I would be able to use Itex. They said the extraction would be between $5000 and $6000. A few weeks went by to receive the predetermination. When it was emailed to me, the estimate was $9161! WHAT? Not even close to the $5-6K estimate. Then when I called them to go over it, they then said they were transitioning to a 'new management' (whatever that means since the name Lawrence Dental never changed), and they no longer will be taking Itex as payment under their new management and I would not be able to use my Itex funds to pay for the extraction. I explained to them what they just put me throught, they didn't care at all. So I just wasted all this time and money with Lawrence Dental. They are not to be trusted, they lie, get everything in writing, and never again.

I originally set up an appointment for a cleaning and the technician was wonderful and very sweet. When the younger Dr. Brand can in to check my teeth I I was very impressed with his mannerisms, friendliness. I had recently chipped a front tooth and a back tooth broke off the same day my regular dentist retired. As someone who suffers from severe dental anxiety, I can confidently say the staff is beyond friendly and genuinely cares about your well being.
