My whole family has been going to Dr. Hyvel now for several years and we are extremely pleased with her, her staff and her office. She is very professional and takes the best care of us! I would never look for a cheap dentist as that has caused me pain in the past. Dr. Hyvel has repaired some work from a previous dentist and has relieved all the sensitivity in my mouth finally. She is always very clear about what should be done and why. Her work is top notch and looks beautiful. My crowns no longer have the black lines under them and the materials she uses are all American made and don't contain cheap metals (which makes a cheaper crown for some dentists or more profit for them$$). The cleanings and care there are excellent. Ask to see her work she has done restoring people's smiles and it's unbelievable the transformations - true artistry! I absolutely trust her judgement concerning the treatment plans and have found working with her office and my insurance very easy. read more

If I could give negative stars i would. This office is a joke. I inquired about their all on 4 implants through their Facebook ad. They have a 3rd party contact you to get information and make sure you have the ability to finance. not a problem. They then charge you .50 to reserve your consolation. no problem. It also gives you a $500 gift card towards services. cool. I even went as fr as to get my co-signer to show proof of credit and got approved for that as well. So I was scheduled for Thursday December 12. I then get a call from Dina in the office. She starts to tell me that i have to pay $50 for my free consultation. Umm no. She then tells me they are going t cost me around $90K umm that's $30k more then the highest estimate I have EVER gotten and 30K more then your own third party is telling people. She says he will ave to get back to me. That was on 12/10. It is now 4pm on 12/11 and Dina calls me to tell me they don't allow co-signers. Which is absolute crap and a lie. ALL financing companies allow co-signers. especially ones with good credit and income. So apparently Dina thinks im an idiot. Then she goes "Well when i told yo the cost it didnt seem like you were going to be able to afford it." So apparently Dina is an expert at knowing what people can and cant afford based off of one phone conversation where i said 6 words. Do not waste your time with this place. A bunch of liars and apparently snobby people who think they can decide what people can and cant afford. Lost a $60K mouth. Horrible place.. even better i got a confirmation text and email right after they canceled my appointment on me. It says if i don't show i get charged $97. It is my practice to only send letters to say thank you, and I never leave reviews. This is my first ever review. I truly feel I must write this one. I went in to see Dr. Hyvel for a tooth ache, and she recommend a root canal for me. For the past year, I have seen many things saying not to get a root canal. Everything in me said, not to do this, so I went for a 2nd opinion. Just by looking at a photocopy of my Xray, this true Holistic Biological Dentist said I did not need one. He examined me and concluded the same. By the grace of God, she did xrays and cleaning first, and in the mean time the tooth ache lesson AND I did my research. Otherwise, she would have done an unnecessary root canal on a healthy tooth!!! Do your research and DO NOT get a root canal or dental implant!!! (Look for Blanche Grube conference on Weston A. Price.org) The billing at this office has been complicated and sketchy. Things don't add up. They group several family members together on one Statement of Account, and you get texts for electronic statement links. My middle daughter notice the reviews after an incident with scheduling with this office. When we look at the reviews ourself, we find many are saying the same thing about treatment and billing/charging. I would never go here again, nor would I recommend anyone to go. Please be cautious... I changed to Dr. Hyvel a few years back as a referral, I had some work done and had a decent experience however felt that some of the recommended work was excessive, and she seemed all about the $$$. At one point during a expensive procedure she shared she would need to charge me an additional 600$ and wouldn't be able to continue the procedure until I agreed, again it was concerning but I went with it as I needed the procedure done. Then I decided to send my children and that was a mistake. My children haven't had cavities and I had checked them out less than a year before this visit with no issues. Immediately Dr. Hyvel started reccomending work, both children she told me needed extensive dental work and had a minimum of eight cavities that needed to be taken care of. My radar immediately went up and i had I went for a second opinion with no cavities or work needed. I am so glad that I went for that second opinion and I would urge you to do the same. I tried this place few months ago for Zoom teeth whitening. They were running a special on it. The second I walked into the office I realized that it was not the regular dentist office that I used to. The waiting room is very modern yet welcoming. Office offers plenty of refreshments for patients like tea coffee, and pastries. Music selection was very soothing. The front office representative Becky was very inviting and professional she walked me through all the process and I New exactly what to expect. The result exceeded my expectations. My teeth never looked that good. Dr. Hyvel also reshaped the chip on my front tooth and didn't even think it was possible! That chip was bothering me but my previous dentist told me u need a crown. So I went to this dental office because it was close to work and had decent reviews online. I'm new to the area. The office was designed well, and the hygienist was very knowledgeable and friendly. She told me I had perfect teeth, which I had heard all my life growing up. I'd never had a cavity. But then the doctor came in. I said hello to her, and she just smiled at me and didn't say much. Dr. Hyvel mostly talked to the hygienist, and only talked to me after she did her check of my teeth. She looked at the x-rays and said there were some problem spots. Then she started to count them out to the hygienist, using whatever dental terms. At the end, she told me I did have some cavities, and they would print out a payment plan to lay it all out for me. I went to the front desk to pay, and they gave me their "plan." Yeah, they listed 11 fillings required. ELEVEN. I had no pain, and I had never had a cavity before, and yet they had found 11. The total cost, minus what my insurance paid, was over $2,000. I said nope and left. I had a second look from a different dental office and they found 1 cavity. Moral of the story: If you're looking for a new dental office, be mindful of scammy places like this one. read more

Dr. Hyvel and her team bring a sense of honesty and frankness to their practice. I really appreciate the realistic approach and honest discussions we've had about my needs, habits and goals. I have never felt pressured into procedures or additional costs which is very different from my experiences with other dentists in the area. Not to mention that they are all very well trained and gentle! My gums don't hurt after cleanings or procedures. They do a great job explaining what is going on and preparing you for what is coming next. Again, I really appreciate this partnership in my care. I think some of the negative reviews posted here are from folks who aren't used to working with an honest dentist. I will take frankness over white lies any day. They told me I had three cavities ! I went too another dentist!!! I had none!!!! Scum bags!!!

The first time I went to Bond Dental Studio, I didn't have the worst experience, but something didn't settle well with me. Dr. Irena Hyvel did a very thorough cleaning and exam. There is no doubt about that. She is a thorough and well educated dentist. That was definitely not the issue. At the end of the exam, she handed me a treatment plan that totaled around $6000.00. This plan included a huge number of procedures. I didn't feel as if I actually needed any of those so I decided to get a second opinion. I found another dentist that a friend recommended and had them do x-rays. Turns out, I didn't need half of the things that Dr. Hyvel said that I needed. I got the procedures that I did need done with this dentist. I did still need to get a wisdom tooth extracted, and since Dr. Hyvel was able to do this, I decided to go back to her because she was so thorough with my first exam. When I showed up for my appointment, I was shocked at the treatment I had received. The first thing that Dr. Hyvel said to me was if I had looked into the treatment plan she had made. I had told her that I went to get a second opinion and that I had gotten some procedures done with that dentist. She began basically yelling at me in her office at this point. She put me down constantly because she felt that it was wrong of me to go to another dentist. Without hesitation she told me that the other doctor was wrong and that I did need all of the other procedures. Then she told me that the other doctor "took all of the cream, and left me with the scraps." She said that she would do the extraction because I was already there but to next time go to another doctor. She then proceeded to tell me that there was no way my insurance would cover the extraction, without even looking. She said if I wanted to get the procedure done, it would have to be out of pocket. Overall, she is a very money hungry doctor with absolutely no respect for people. She was extremely rude and condescending to me. I walked out of that office without getting the procedure done, shocked that anyone would speak to me that way. She wanted to get my money, and thought she could trick me into giving it to her. After getting a referral to an oral surgeon, I ended up only having to pay $60.00 out of pocket for my tooth extraction, compared to the $480.00 Dr. Hyvel was claiming that it would cost. No matter the expertise of this doctor, I would never refer anyone to a doctor that has such little respect for her patients. I also don't appreciate being pressured into spending more money than I need to. It is a free country and if I want to get a second opinion, I should be able to with my own free will. read more

I had a very similar experience to the other listed review. The treatment plan and some procedures done were not necessary and I believe a means to get more money. The doctor I see now saved all the teeth I was told that had to be removed. I felt pressured as well to have certain things done that I know now that I didn't need. And when it came to the financial aspect, she also spoke to me in a very condescending and unprofessional manner. read more

I had a very similar experience to the other two reviewers of this dentist. I went there a while ago and this experience still bothers me to this day. It is after reading these other two reviews that I felt that I needed to say something as well so some other poor, unsuspecting person doesn't fall prey to this Dentist. I would like to start by writing that everything I am recalling is fact. I wrote Bond DDS an email after my experience recalling my experience and letting Dr Hyvel know just how bad my experience was. I was pregnant with my first child and I hadnt been to the dentist in a while. I knew that for the health of my baby I needed to get to the dentist. I chose Bond DDS because I passed it all the time while I was driving and I finally decided to bite the bullet and stop in. It is a very beautiful office with a nice ambiance. I remember the receptionist being very sweet- there was tea, soothing music, really nice interior decorating. I remember instantly thinking that I had come to the right place- I didnt feel like I was at the dentist. My initial visit was a consultation only and I dont remember getting a warm feeling from Dr Hyvel but I do remember feeling as though she was very smart and knew what she was doing. I was pregnant and scared and nervous and she assured me I had nothing to be nervous about. I made an appointment for a cleaning and felt pretty good about it. I showed up for my appointment and Dr Hyvel and her assistant began cleaning my teeth. They were blaring music and singing along with it- I remember thinking it was very bizarre but I thought at the time that this was how she worked. When they spoke , they spoke to each other in another language, I will not assume I know which one - it was not English and to not know what someone is saying makes you terribly uneasy when getting your teeth cleaned. I will say that they seemed to do a very thorough job of cleaning. After the cleaning , she told me I needed to make an appointment to go over my treatment plan. I found this odd but I hadnt been to the dentist in a while so I went with it. My treatment plan appointment consisted of being put in a room with a "financial specialist" and the Dr Hyvel. They proceeded to present to me a $10,000.00 treatment plan- wanted to know how I was going to pay for it- and let me know that it was urgent that I begin immediately. Dr Hyvel then told me that I was going to have an ugly baby if I didnt have good teeth. All of this treatment plan was made without one xray being done because I was pregnant. IN my opinion, this doctor is rude , unprofessional and took advantage of me in a moment of my life when I was scared , pregnant and anxious. I came home crying to my husband. He promptly made me an appointment at St Charles Family dentistry where they gave me a 300.00 treatment plan. They were kind and professional and I have been going here ever since. I sent an email to Dr Hyvel about the difference in dental opinion. Her response was : "The treatment that I presented for you is expensive but compare to what?.. Would you get angry with your jeweler that offered you to buy a gold diamond ring for $5k if you could get a similar design in Sears gold plated with cubic zirconia for $200? There is the difference in dental work as well." read more

Terrible service !!! I went in Bondds Dental Studio for a deep cleaning, because I have a gum problem and I needed a surgery. Dr. Hyvel did the deep cleaning on July 3rd and before the treatment she made me 4/5 injections of anesthesia, I got less injections for a surgery. Well she made one of these injections in my nerve and after three months I still have pain of my tongue. During the deep cleaning she created two big holes between my teeth, she wanted to see if my gum tissue will replaced alone, although everybody know that the periodontal disease is not reversible without a surgery that replace your tissue. I sent some email to her studio asking she takes care of the problem she created and filling the holes, without ask a payment to me or to my insurance... well I never received any answer to my emails. I have a very good dentist now that will close the holes created by Dr. Hyvel but of course I have to pay what my insurance doesn't cover. My suggestion is: if you have a gum problems or if you need a deep cleaning go to meet another dentist !!! Dr. Irena Hyvel has no idea about a gum problem or periodontal disease and also how to do a simply deep cleaning. read more

If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. This was my first visit to this dentist after my regular Dr. retired. I'm already not a fan of dentists to begin with and was reluctant to go to a new Dr. My fears were confirmed on this visit. Both my wife and I made an appointment and were greeted to a small waiting room with a man on his phone talking loudly in russian. No big deal and we proceeded to fill out our paperwork. An HOUR after our appointment time I finally get xrays. These were the most uncomfortable x rays I've ever taken. I was told these are high tech and sat there for 30-45 minutes while they took my pictures than were necesary. When I did finally see the Dr. she immediately told me I needed a deep cleaning and she can only do half my mouth today and another half later. In addition to follow ups every 3 months. I can tell she was trying to run up a huge bill so I stormed out and told my wife I was done so she can go ahead if she wanted to but I'll find another dentist. After I stormed out the Dr. proceeded to decree her advice to my wife in the waiting room and another young lady reading a magazine. Last I checked this is a serious violation of HIPPA and my wife and I left immediately. I wouldn't trust this woman cleaning my dogs teeth if she demonstrates this complete lack of professionalism. She's a scam artist posing as a dentist. BEWARE! read more
