I ordered Paneer Tikka Masala from Madina Cafe through Uber Eats last night and only received TWO small cubes of paneer, the rest just sauce. It was clear that I had gotten a "last batch", especially since the paneer was dry. I've been to Madina before and had a good experience, but I'm rating it 1 star because it baffles me that whoever boxed my food up thought that giving me 2 tiny pieces of paneer was acceptable. I will definitely be talking to the manager soon and hope to change my rating. read more

Tried their lunch buffet- definitely a must try if you are in the area. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful.

I've driven by this place sooo many times and told myself I would have to try it someday, but then, when I'm looking for lunch I forget about it. Well, today I didn't forget. Lucky me. A number of lunch specials in the $6-7 range. I had chicken korma that was DELICIOUS! Came with rice, small pile of vegetable salad, and two fritters of I don't know what - grain? Lentils? Didn't matter, they were good. The korma was served piping hot; had to let it cool a little before I could shovel it in my mouth. Based on this ONE VISIT, I'll give it five. I ordered the Gyro plate and my bf ordered the burrito. Both were just marginal in quality and taste. I've had much better gyro's off a food truck. This was our first time here and haven't tried other menu selections, but I doubt if we will make a second trip. read more

I am not a huge fan of this kind of cuisine however I do enjoy it now and again. This is hands down the best indian/halal cuisine I have ever had!!! The falafel was crispy on the outside and light and filled with flavor on the inside not too overpowering!!! I had the chicken65 with rice was amazing!!! I stopped in for the lunch buffet ($8.99), which was delicious and exactly what I expected--a tasty mix of vegetarian dishes, three chicken dishes, naan, and starters. Lots of okra, potatoes, peppers, zuchinni squash, tomatoes, all flavorful and spiced moderately. I loved it and the price is right. Non-alcoholic drinks are available separately. Decided to pick up, upon the recommendations in the reviews, the chicken 65, and I was not disappointed. I also picked up a Falafel plate which was also phenomenal. Fresh, delicious food served by super-nice folks. The menu is a fusion of Pakistani-Indian, Middle Eastern and African dishes (along with some kid-pleasers like chicken fingers ), all cooked fresh to order and served in plentiful portions. I ordered the salmon, which was prepared with tandoori spices -- but not over-spiced or overcooked. My mother got the chicken kabobs, which were not the usual grilled chicken on a stick but ground chicken with spices (she found it a bit spicy but I thought it was just right). Both came with salad, basmati rice, and grilled veggies. We also ordered an appetizer of hummus, which was delish and served with crudités along with the usual pita bread. We asked for hot tea, and while they don't have it on the menu, they served us some of the delicious Indian-spiced tea the staff were drinking. Hope to see this on the menu soon. I checked out the attached grocery store and they had great prices on Indian spices and Indian-style rice as well as lots of other intriguing goodies. This place is a great addition to Tucker and will be on our regular lunch rotation. read more

Cute, quiant and very clean little spot for Indian food!!! I've passed this restaurant a zillion times, but decided to try them out. This is my 2nd visit. I was not feeling well...just left dr...appetite low, but I needed to eat lunch. Madina serves meat, but the lunch buffet has wonderful vegan dishes also!!! Be careful of tiny bones when eating the chicken dishes, for it is finely chopped...like a lot of Jamaican dishes. I find Indian food to be not only delicious, but also medicinal. My Dad said that Indian food is close to African food. Nevertheless, the butter chicken and curry chicken simply rock!!! The lemon rice as well as all of the basmati rices rock. I enjoyed the fresh lime slices to squeeze on my meal. A small buffet bar, but satisfying. I did not like the super bland lentil soup...absolutely no flavour!!! I did not like the fact that they had a soda fountain, but it is permanently out of order...the restaurant just uses it to dispense ice. There are can soda, bottled water and a coconut drink...as well as others in a cooler. Unacceptable because some dishes are really spicy and you need extra fluids sans get that soda fountain fixed!!! Also, serve iced tea...more profit I would think. read more

The food was tasteless.. the chicken tikka wrap was stuffed with bell peppers and onions, no salt, no spice and fries were not fried well. The biryani was again just tasteless. The chicken 65 was the only thing that was good but not your traditional chicken 65.. basically it was fried chicken tikka. Definitely wouldn't recommend this joint. read more

So glad to have more variety in Tucker! I tried two appetizers, falafel and vegetable samosas, as an introduction to their menu and for a light dinner. The prices, quality and flavor can't be beat! While nestled in a interesting strip of stores, Madina cafe was clean, the staff was friendly, the reasonably priced food came out quickly and was absolutely fresh and delicious. I was having my car serviced across the street, and decided to give it a try. I had the Chicken 65 Rice dish, and i was shocked at how good it was for under $10.00. The chicken was very crisp and cooked just right. Even though this is a very common India dish, I have normally discovered, it is over cooked, chewy, and just not very good in more traditional Indian restaurants. It was not listed on their overhead menu board, but listed as a new item under the board, and the lady running the cash draw convince me to order it, instead of the Chicken Biryani dish, and I am glad i did. Not sure if Chicken 65 will be a permanent menu item, but if you prefer this dish over a rice dish, i would high recommend it! read more
