Chicken xacuti, lamb pista korma, garlic rice, goat cheese naan
    Valerie W.

The food is a little pricey but honestly this is a hidden gem for how amazing and flavorful everything was. The ambiance of this restuarant is like no other, so colorful and well decorated, very unique to the culture which is what I really appreciated. My friend and I came here right when the restaurant opened and the service was great. We were seated and were able to order immediately. We did have to ask to refill water a couple times but that wasn't really a big deal. The food here though is probably one of the best Indian cuisines I've ever had. We ordered and shared the lamb pista korma and the goat cheese naan which are now my two favorite dishes. The curry was rich and flavorful, with a hint of sweetness. There were levels to the curry and the naan that I've never experienced. Although it was a little out of my price range, I would say it is 100% worth it. Would definitely come here again to try all the other dishes!

Wonderful food and great atmosphere! We had the butter chicken, rosemary and garlic naan, jeera rice and lamb jardaloo. The lamb and apricot was a tasty surprise. The sweetness of the fruit combined with the savory meat! Eaten with the rosemary naan was heavenly. Our waiter kept our water glasses full and was helpful with the menu. The inside makes you feel like royalty, so many colors and feeling of warmth and love.

Had my friend's leftovers of garlic chicken. Very good. Tasty and saucy. Nice ambiance inside. Be try friendly and accommodating service for someone who was coming in late like me.

The food was so delicious at Bombay Chowk! I ordered takeout. Gobi Pops (4/5): The flavor was really great and spicy, but there was more batter on the cauliflower than I prefer Chicken Tikka Masala (5/5): The sauce was sweet and tomatoey, one of my favorite chicken tikka masalas. Saag Paneer (5/5): The saag was creamy and there were good amounts of paneer. Would order from here again!

Good, well made Indian food but a bit overpriced. A mouse also ran into the restaurant near our table since the door was open but that's not their fault. Ambience was fine, leaning casual. Service was friendly and very helpful in recommending what to order.

"Old Delhi butter chicken is just chicken tikka masala with butter" - Staff Very average food, with same sauces for different dishes. Look at the photo of the "old Delhi butter chicken" lol - he literally admitted that they just put butter on a very sweet Chicken tikka masala!

The ambiance was perfect for our birthday celebration, creating an intimate atmosphere. The team went above and beyond, providing attentive service throughout our time there. Last but certainly not least, the dishes were authentically delicious, each dish beautifully plated and served with passion ~ there even was an allergen question which was answered immediately! Our experience was exceptional, kudos to Deepak & his team. I highly recommend it for any private event or to enjoy great Indian food!

We were looking for a place to have Indian food on the upper East side. The place is compact, but the ambience was fine with the wall art and music. There were people smoking on the street and the doors were open so some of that lofted into the restaurant while we were eating. Service was OK. We had to call over the waitress multiple times in order to get our drinks. Additionally, despite us having a $250 Bill, we had to pack up our own leftovers. The food was decent, but spectacular. The five of us, we got the bread basket with rosemary, garlic, and plain naans. The appetizers including paneer tikka was good. My favorite dish was the malai kofta, which was actually spiced just right and was very flavorful. The butter chicken was nothing special. Overall, if you're looking for somewhat expensive Indian place on the upper east side, otherwise I'd probably skip.

Small restaurant. Lots of delicious flavors in the food. Interesting decor. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and an order of Butter Nan. The food was very good and flavorful. Service was good. The place is a little small so I don't think it's a good fit for a big group, but I recommend it for an intimate dinner or small gathering.

Where can I find it's lunch special menu?

sorry not sure, personally i never use lunch menus as the main course or whatever has smaller portions, not worth it just for a tiny soup or salad, etc

    Is this BYOB?

We ordered and were served beer & wine. Guess they have a liquor license to sell other sprits.

Do they have a lunch buffet?

No, but they do serve a very reasonable lunch set menu.

Today I dropped by and had their lunch special which included a small side and an entree. I chose the vegetable samosa and the Kerala vegetable curry. The samosa had a nice flakey crust with a flavorful and substantial amount of filling. The kerala curry is coconut milk based with really great heat. The vegetables were firm and soft. And it was the great balance. Truly top notch curry for a lunch special. I was absolutely full, happy, and satisfied by the time my lunch break was over. Will certainly come back if im in the area.

We kicked things off with the lamb spring rolls, which aren't something you see on every Indian menu. They came out crisp, well-seasoned, and paired with a cool cucumber raita that balanced the spice nicely. Not life-changing, but definitely a fun and solid opener. For my main, I leaned into a random lamb craving and ordered the lamb vindaloo--and this is where Seva really delivered. Deep, rich flavor with a satisfying level of heat that doesn't hold back but also doesn't overwhelm. The lamb itself was tender and clearly given the time it deserved. This dish alone would bring me back. Service was attentive without hovering, and the pacing of the meal felt just right--no awkward gaps, no rushing.

The restaurant felt homey and I could tell there were many regulars and other return visitors, for good reason! Ordered: Masala Chai ($4.50)- this tasted authentic, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too sweet. I only wish the cup was bigger. Steamed momo ($12+)- I like how you have the option to mix and match. We ordered the mixed vegetable and the oyster mushroom and surprisingly I much preferred the oyster mushroom variety. The mixed vegetable momo tasted more earthy to me. Himalayan rice set ($20.5)- this was a very nice assortment- there was rice, lentil dal, your protein of choice- (I chose beef brisket), stir fried cabbage, broccoli rabe, pickled vegetables and crisp flatbread. The only downside in my opinion was that the brisket wasn't too tender and I didn't love the beef flavoring or preparation. The rest of the items were so delicious!
