We also tried that hot chai and it was the best. May be chai is one of the few reasons this restaurant manages to get customers inside its doors amongst heavy competition.

Vegan Manchurian Balls - really nice sauce/gravy. Super flavourful and could definitely eat this again. The balls a bit soggy-we prefer to have them a bit smaller and with a slight crunch. The inside is really nice and clean. The person on the counter very helpful and patient to answer all my questions on if there was eggs or all the sauces were vegan. Thank you. Will surely come back again if I am in the area

It used to be 5 for a dollar, and even at 3 for a dollar in 2026, it's still unbeatable. But the samosas themselves are the freshest, crispiest, most flavourful I've ever had. I get urges to drive deep into Scarborough every week just to bring a box home. Seriously: 12 freshly fried samosas with 2 tubs of sweet, tangy, heavenly chutney for $6? There's a reason the line is always out the door. The wait averages 20 to 30 minutes, and it's always worth it. The vibe is simply that of a long line and consistent fresh food. Bring cash as it's cash only. Now I'm seriously wondering if I should have kept the gate closed.

This past Sunday, I made the very snowy trek up into north Scarborough to try some Malaysian food…read moreat Malaysian Garam Masala. It is definitely out-of-the-way, in a small strip plaza in a residential area near to Woodside Square (coincidentally not far from where I went to high school back when the area was REALLY out-of-the-way). As other reviews have noted, the place is not much to look at, about a dozen green tables with flowery wallpaper and a few panes of mirror, and a serving counter at the back where you place your order. But it is very clean and bright, and the service was very attentive. Admittedly, there were only a few other people dining-in, and some others who came for pick-up, but this was not bad considering the very bad weather at the time. After browsing the menu and asking a few questions, I ordered the Malaysian fried rice with chicken and the Garam Masala fish. The fried rice was excellent, spicy but I still added some of the hot sauce provided on the side. There was also lots of it, a large plate piled high with a fair bit of chicken mixed in; this certainly could have been a filling meal on its own. The fish was also pretty good, but not a standout like the rice. The rest of the menu has different varieties of chicken, beef, fish, shrimp, rice and noodle dishes and several types of roti. A meeting of Indian and Chinese styles, similar to the hakka restaurants that are popular now. With one $4 beer, my bill came to only $21, and I had enough leftover to take to work for lunch. Definitely a strong recommendation; great food for a low price. I will most certainly be returning to try other dishes.

You can get place a large samosa order the same day. - This eatery is on DoorDash, Skip the Dishes, and Uber Eats. On Saturday, I dropped by Samosa Fusion to check out its all-day buffet. We were a fairly large group of twelve hungry folks wanting a brunch feast! Staff were busy getting all hot foods to the buffet, so we had to wait a while before we could dive in. Staff were extremely hard-working. There were a few details that could use some improvement. We didn't get any water while we waited for the food to be set up at the buffet. I was getting thirsty and asked for water. I got a glass and the owner apologized. We then got pitchers of water throughout our meal, which was much needed! The buffet has a lot of good eats. It's decently priced for what you get. The carvery had tandoori chicken stuff with biryani. It also had devilled eggs and what looked like chicken stuffed with greens that I never got around to trying. I went for the curries: - Goat - Butter chicken - Aloo matar - Chana masala The last three were fantastic. They were flavourful and yummy. The goat was tender, but it was extremely gamey. I got biryani and veggie chow mein. The former was an excellent base for the curries. The latter was a nice change-up option. The chow mein was delicious. I got cucumber and tomato slices. They were refreshing. There were also sliced carrots and more in a tray. I ended up getting one of the passion salad bowls. The potatoes, peas, pineapple chunks, green beans, and more were so good. I wish that the buffet had more fruit. Pineapple was the only fruit in the salad and in the pineapple raita. The latter was nice, but the pineapple chunks were small. I am a fruit person, so it may have been fine for someone who isn't as enthusiastic about fruit as I am. I got a samosa. It was huge! It was stuffed with a lot of potatoes. I enjoyed it. As an aside, HK Garden next door and Samosa Fusion are owned by the same folks. The same samosas are available at both locations. If you need samosas for a catering event, staff can do it the same day. I asked whether they needed a day's notice. Nope, they made 500 for hungry Home Depot employees in a couple of hours or so. Wow! We also got naan. It was hot and perfect with the curries. There were a couple of dessert items. I am always a fan of pudding. The bread butter pudding was superb. The chopped almonds provided a nice contrast to the yummy pudding. I am fortunate to not have any nut allergies. However, a note about nuts would be helpful to those with severe nut allergies. I did appreciate that staff labelled the names of everything at the buffet. It's located in a fairly busy plaza. On a Saturday afternoon, I got a parking spot fairly close to the restaurant. This eatery is on Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. It's good to know. I had a good time here with friends. I'd return for more good eats. (122)
