I'll be honest--I only ended up at Bollywood Spa because I had a coupon, and when I first walked in, I didn't have high hopes. On the surface it seemed to be a standard brow threading salon. But then, they opened all door on the back wall of the threading salon and suddenly I was in a fairy-tale wonderland of butterflies and ivy. My esthetician gave me an amazing scalp treatment, checking in regularly in pressure and comfort. I floated into bliss (and trust me, I've had a lot of massages). The timing, the variety, the scalp, neck, shoulder and arm combo--it was all perfection. 6/5 stars because Corona is ridiculously lucky to have this scalp massage gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This has been my go-to spot for eyebrows for years, and I've always had great experiences with the staff -- they consistently do an amazing job, and I recommend this place to everyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With my brother's wedding just three days away, I stopped in for my usual eyebrow threading and tinting. I noticed a new technician named Luna, whom I hadn't seen before. Before we started, I specifically asked her to keep my brows on the thicker side. Unfortunately, when I looked in the mirror after the threading, they were thinner than I had asked for. I didn't say anything at the time, hoping the tint would help fill them in a bit. She applied the tint paste and told me to wait four minutes, setting a timer. However, she then started working on another client and ended up leaving the tint on me for longer than planned -- the timer had been going off for a while before she came back. When she returned, she removed the tint by aggressively rubbing my brows several times and then used rubbing alcohol, which felt really harsh. I've done tinting here many times before, and none of the other technicians have ever handled it like this. Despite all the scrubbing, there was still visible tint on my skin where there's no hair, making the result look messy and uneven. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's really disappointing to have this kind of experience right before an important event.
