Restaurant Bollywood opened in Feb.19th, I heard of this place a while back just never got my chance to make my way there. I am frankly quite excited to have new Indian restaurants in the South Shore. This restaurant is located in St-Hubert /Brossard with a parking lot (best to drive here). The restaurant is beautiful! The decor reminds me of a spice isle with Indian imported statues while relaxing music plays in the background. They do pick up (10% off orders), catering, cooking lessons as well as casual dining in seating up to 85 ppl. The menu has a wide variety of veg and non-veg options. The combos area perfect for 2 or more ppl. We went with combo 1-chicken pakoras were replaced with Manchurian (Chinese fusion Indian veggie fritters), veggie pakoras -comes in 4 pieces (were really good), chicken tandoori x4 pieces, butter chicken in a light cream sauce, basmati rice, Naan bread, garden salad, chai and gulab Jamun honey balls for dessert. We ordered a side of shahi paneer tikka masala which is a creamy cheese dish in a nut sauce - my favourite. They have a full bar including house wines which are very affordable. Definitely worth the trip here with family and friends!

Update: still ordering from Bollywood as often as we can, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is SO GOOD. We haven't been let down by this restaurant! The are consistent and I am happy to support a local business!

kormas lamb, Madras beef, Butter chicken and a vegetable dish

Portion is not a lot, If you don't eat much and don't mind the price then i guess its good.*** I came here on a friday night with some friends, looking for some good indian food. Yes it was pretty good, had the kormas lamb, Madras beef, Butter chicken and a vegetable dish. The food was flavorful, the sauce was good. It was spicy but not up there, should have tried the vindaloo. Now you may think why I gave such low rating. Each of these dishes were $12-15 and you have to order rice and naan on the side. It adds up quick. The food came and the portions were too small (8-9 cubes of meat in each). It might fill you up if you eat the rice and naan with the sauce as it is very fatty/heavy. Then we waited more than 1 hour for the food to come. I think they said there were a lot of orders at same time and they did give us some freebies (Thank you) and came to apologize for having us wait. The decor of the place is nice and service was good and polite else than that.

It is not in a traditional menu where you order it which makes it all the more fun! The vibes were immaculate and very clean, the service was fairly nice even though they were busy. I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.

We were seated right away. The waitress staff was able to quickly get our orders. The only downside with the wait staff was they seemed a bit pressured for us to keep ordering though we had only stopped by for drinks and to kill time before going to another location. The drinks were delicious. The Cafe con leche was just the right consistency of creaminess without being a pudding consistency or too thick. I love the banana chips as a garnish on top. It was a nice touch. The mela mama loco was a hint of sweet and sour. The tiki takata was pretty while being deliciously tropical. The summer mule had a refreshing flavor and spritz to the drink. I really liked that the chips were thick and didn't break when trying to get a decent amount of the dip onto it. I would highly recommend to ask for the hot sauces. They have 4 varieties to try from sweet to hot. Overall would come again on an empty stomach to try other foods they have available.
