This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Atlanta. I have been eating here on and off for about eight years. They've moved into a larger location just a block or two away from their original building, but still on Virginia Avenue. The ambience is pretty swanky... Ethiopian and jazz music in background, beautiful, cultural pictures on the walls, large screen TV, African decorum, and plenty of seating.... Both booth style and tables/chairs. The food is always delicious as is the authenticity! Service is good as well. I'd highly recommend the sampler platter (veggies, lentils and meat). The plate looks small, but I can never eat it all. It is all authentic and oh sooo delicious... I would highly recommend Bole!

Simple Sampler platter with an extra side of chicken

My first time trying Ethiopian food. The place was nicely decorated with pictures and Ethiopian nick backs. There was a steady flow of people picking up to go orders. The restaurant itself was empty apx 7p on a Thursday. I enjoyed the experience, however the flavor was a little lack luster for my partner and I.

Decided to dine here on Mother's Day. Nothing special about the restaurant. Just hoping for something different. I ordered the spicy Cajun chicken with rice and salad with a side of cabbage potato and carrot medley. Nice flavor and the dish was served warm and wait time was short. The dining area was clean and comfortable. Will return to try other items on the menu.

The veggie platter was delicious, I just wish there were more veggies and less injera. I will definitely be eating here again soon. Good job

Delicious and fresh food with great service! The restrooms were also very clean. I would be here every week if I lived in Atlanta! I can't wait to come back.

Bole is my brother and sister-in-law's favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Atlanta. Pretty restaurant with a spacious outdoor patio. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Helped walk us through the menu as it was my first time there. Food came out quickly and the presentation was beautiful! Finished the meal with a delicious and flavorful traditional Ethiopian coffee. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend to anyone that loves or has never tried Ethiopian food.

I have wanted to try Ethiopian food for the longest! While visiting we were able to give this place a try! Met up with a friend who suggested this gem and I am so glad he brought us here! We ordered the Taste of Bole sampler so we could taste everything. The platter was more very filling and more than enough for me and two men with leftovers for later. Everything was freshly made to serve and the spices were phenomenal! The injera was better than I expected as well. Service was great and the establishment was beautiful. Definitely keeping this place on my list of places to eat when in Atlanta.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I was NOT disappointed! It's a very family-type vibe in there, which is already very comforting. I wish i remembered our server's name but she was lovely. As for my food, for starters I ordered Sambusa and the Chickpea Wot, and for dinner I ordered the Vegetarian Combo (more details in the pics) When I first looked at the plate, I thought, oh maybe I'll have some to take home. After that first bite, I wiped that plate CLEAN. Looking back I don't even know if I was that hungry, I think I was so taken aback by how delicious and rich in flavor everything was. I left feeling so full and happy, there's nothing better than trying something for the first time and it tasting better than you expected, looking forward to going back. Btw: This is right by the airport for anyone traveling to or through ATL.

Atlanta is so blessed to have a restaurant like this in its ranks now. If I could give more than 5…read morestars on this app, I'd be lighting it up! I went on a holiday, which was super busy, but even so, service was prompt and attentive. I ordered a pasaflora to drink, which had a beautiful flower in it, queso blanco with chips, al pastor mushroom tacos, chochoyotes, and flan for dessert. Every single dish was inspired, layered with flavor, creative, and truly unique. The presentation was also lovely and each bite felt thoughtful and well-executed. I would order everything a million times over! One thing that especially stood out was the flan's texture, which was silky, delicate, and perfectly balanced. I was also pleasantly surprised to see fried green tomatoes on the menu. It felt like such a special nod to the restaurant's Southern location, blending regional influence in a really cool way. The owner was super nice, which made the experience even better. The decor is gorgeous and so inviting, with intimate, cozy lighting. The whole space feels clean, artistic, and thoughtfully designed. This is an amazing date-night spot that I truly hope sticks around for a long, loooong time. Everything about the atmosphere and experience makes it perfect for a special evening out. I'm already planning to go back and explore more of the menu, but based on my first visit alone, I might even dare to say this is the best vegan restaurant in Atlanta. The jury's still out, but I'm more than happy to keep doing the research to confirm!! lol Last thing I'll say is that I was so grateful not to have to wade through a bunch of non-vegan menu options to figure I it what I could actually order. I also don't have to wonder if my food was being cooked next to a slab of dead animal, which is not the case most places I go. So, thank you for being ALL vegan. The food is so good that there is no chance a non-vegan will feel they've missed out on meat anyway. Logistical stuff: I saw a little bit of street parking, but not a ton. Parking in the deck is definitely the easiest option. You could theoretically bike/skate the Beltline and just walk a couple of blocks to get there. The space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend making a reservation to be safe if you're visiting on a Friday/Saturday night.

We enjoyed sitting at the bar for a light Friday dinner…read more Ambience is fun and tropicalish. Bartender was very pleasant and explained the various menu items along with his recommendations. Personally, the menu is fairly limited in scope with the same ingredients presented in different dishes. Not very healthy either with plenty of fried options. Despite the plant based hoopla, it does not come close to similar concepts. Meh

Tassili's makes my favorite wraps of all time. I am not vegan but I absolutely love eating here…read more Their wraps are massive, delicious, and make me feel like I'm eating healthy too. I got the South of the Border wrap. The full size is enough for two people. It is stuffed with kale (I get the spicy one and it has a nice kick to it), avocado, black bean hummus, and couscous. I highly recommend! I usually order ahead of time and come to pick it up because service is slow. Online, it will say your order is ready in 10-15 minutes, but that is not true. Wait at least 30-45 minutes to pick it up. I have been here many times, and the people that work here are absolutely incredible, but they are slammed with a lot of orders so it takes a while to get prepared.

I finally made it to Tassili's after hearing only positive reviews. I had a weekday off and wanted…read morea healthy wrap. There were about four customers in line when I arrived but it moved as slow as molasses. I recommend ordering online if you don't have extra time to wait. Also know what you want when you arrive, it helps move the line a little quicker. This is a raw vegan restaurant that is known for their kale mix. You have your choice of wraps, spicy kale, mild kale or you can do a 50/50 blend. The spicy has heat which i love but I'm glad I did the 50/50, it was perfect. There is a free parking lot a few steps away from the business and it's large so you shouldn't have a problem finding parking. I had the south of the border with a chili wrap and all ingredients. I had the half size which was extremely large and enough for two people to share or enough for two days. It's such a beautiful wrap but personally not my favorite. All the ingredients were very fresh but it was something that I just didn't enjoy about it. Maybe it was the Moroccan couscous flavor. I'm willing to try another wrap and will probably go with the OG or Dat Ish. Prices were okay for the serving size you receive. There are tables outside. And the employees were all pleasant.

I was super excited to try 100% plant-based Malaysian food at Mamak Vegan Kitchen! The ambiance…read morehere is great, super elegant and spacious (great for fancy occasions but also casual). We got: - Chicken Satay: The chicken itself was so believable, stringy and smoky! And crunchy (though I'm used to satay meat being grilled). The sauce was tasty too- peanut-y, sweet, hint of curry. However, for $8, I'd expect at least 4 skewers. - Shrimp Chow Kway Teow: CKT is one of my favorite noodle dishes ever, and Mamak's version certainly did it justice. The wok hei was so present, the noodles perfectly chewy, and the veggies (snow pea, onion, carrot, bean sprouts) well-cooked. The shrimp was insane, so bouncy and real-feeling. - Olive Fried Rice: Can't say I've ever had olive leaves before, this dish was delightful! Lots of great toppings (tofu, carrot, green bean, mushroom) that gave some textural diversity. - Black Pepper Beef: The black pepper essence was clearly distinguishable, but the sauce was too sweet for me. The beef was truly reminiscent of the actual thing. Lots of tasty veggies again (cauliflower, celery, jicama, carrot, bell pepper). Overall, taste-wise, all of the dishes were great; however, we did not feel portion sizes matched prices. Service could also stand to improve, with regards to attentiveness. To note, the restaurant is self-seating (I wish there was something that said this at the entrance). You can pay the bill via QR code, but there's a platform fee (I wonder if you could avoid that if you pay physically). Lots of parking available. 9/10 would recommend!
