Gabe Gonzales from Bold Roofing is a thief, i dont know if he was just high or drunk as well on the job when I was around to notice, not to mention paraphernalia he'd leave in his trail (probably not on purpose). When you ask him something or confront him about a wrong-doing he just laughs out loud like an idiot that has nothing to say. After a they installed a new roof there was a major leak and she head a loud boom. Needless to say, the water damage went through the roof and caused the water heater connectors to dislodge. We had a gas leak and since Robert Bold would not respond we were forced to call the fire department who shut off our gas. Initially we just wanted a roof inspection and then maybe get any bad areas patched up.....we ended up with an entire new roof; the wood on the front of our house replaced and painted; and a new ceiling in our dining area! They replaced my roof but incorrectly flashed all 14 vents that have been leaking inside my attic. Since we don't live in the attic, we could not see them leaking until one finally gave way and flooded my kitchen. Had someone come out to look and all 14 vents have been leaking to some degree for years. Of course it's out of warranty. We worked with John W. from bold roofing for several occasions on several of our roofing needs. First, we learned about John and his honest and clean work from our next door neighbors. While our neighbors were having his replace their roof, we were out of town and the skylight on our roof blew away with string winds. As soon as we came back, we called him up and his crew took care of this issue right away with no extra cost to us. With this positive first experience, we kept him in our mind for any future needs. In fact, we had him come and walk our property to see if our property had any hail damage and unlike many dishonest companies, he did not exaggerate the damage to get more business, but rather provided an honest opinion, along with some pointers on other items that needed our attention. Down the road, we had some hail damage on our roof with a processed insurance claim. Based on our prior positive experience with John, we call him up. Not only that he was seamless to work with, but he was also very honest and true to his words (hard quality to find within roofing companies/professionals). His crew got everything taken care off of, cleaned up after themselves, but also power washed our patio for any thing that was there. We had a great experience with them. John is a comprehensive roofing guy who not only just does roofing but takes care of other items to that insurance awarded us. He make sure still take care of his customers and maintain a long time relationship rather than some of the flyaway roofing companies. In fact, when we bought a new home, we trusted his judgment and we had him come out to inspect the roof on the new home. If I could give Bold Roofing a negative rating I would. RUN from this company. DO NOT give them your business. They are scam artists that sell you shingles that are defective. They admit the shingles are defective. Then when you call to have them come out to inspect the roof they advise and recommend you to commit insurance fraud (saying you need a new roof because of weather damage) because it is easier than filing a manufacture warranty claim. WARNING to all potential customers - Bold Roofing doesn't adhere to the "Manufacturers " shingle warranty that they sold you on, even when your contract with Bold Roofing says "Lifetime" shingle warranty and they don't include any manufacturers warranty information when you sign the Bold Roofing contract. That is like buying a car and then the doors falling off and you take the car back to the dealership and the dealership telling you, oh well that bolt that was holding your car doors on was defective so go can call the bolt company to get the doors on your car that we sold you fixed. It is a disgrace to treat your customers like this; if you sold a defective product and you admit that the product you sold is defective you should fix it for your customer. It is also abhorrent to tell customers to call and file a false claim on your insurance when you all admit in knowing that the roof damage is due to a defective shingle and not weather. @Robert Bold I would love to speak with you about this occurrence that is happening at your company, however the office manager and the manager I spoke with both declined to allow me to speak with you. read more

We have been trying to call and get ahold of our contact there for three days only to have our calls ignored. We finally called from a different number and they called us back. I've used Bold to replace my roof at two different houses. The first was in 2008 and the second in 2020. Each time, they did a great job of working with my insurance company. My account rep, Bob Stephens, did a great job of making the process completely seamless and (mostly) pain-free both times. The first time around, my insurance company offered to replace just 75%(!) of my roof after a tree fell on my house in a windstorm. However, Bob really went to bat for me. After going back and forth a couple of times, he got the insurance company to pay for 100% of a new roof. Even better, I paid nothing out of pocket! I again called to Bold to look at my currently roof which had accumulated several years of storm damage. Once again, Bob Stephens was able to get me a max payout. He worked directly with the insurance company and even came by and met with the insurance adjuster as he examined my roof. Unfortunately, I wasn't as lucky the second time around and ended up paying just under $1,000. Considering that I have a 2% deductible and was looking at $4,700 out of pocket, I felt pretty good about what Bold saved me. I have a good size 1.5-story house and they finished it completely in a single day. The only thing I didn't like was that their crew knocked several large chunks of popcorn ceiling plaster from the inside of my upstairs family room. But since that part of the house has no attic space it was likely unavoidable. They also left a couple of small dings in my deck from dropping tools or waste product. Nonetheless, I've used Bold twice on two different houses and have been very happy with the final outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again should the need ever arise. read more

Bold roofing sucks. Robert is a high pressure sales man that should be selling used cars in NJ. They advertise using GAF and other top brands but install (certain-teed). I was not given a choice at time or asked, I just assumed they would use a good quality manufacturer since their web page boasts using GAF. Do a quick search on Google (like I did) and you will find several past and current law suites against Certain-teed, both class action and private. My mom's shingles are having the same problem as all the others that had (Certain-teed) shingles installed. (They boast a lifetime guarantee but it's useless) Bold roofing is no help and Certain-teed mfg. is even less. We will have to pay another company to replace my 85 year old mothers roof with a quality mfg. roofing material out of our pocket. You may remember the hail storm we had in March. I was afraid the hail was going to break my windows! In fact, some of the neighbors did have broken windows. Anyway, about 2 - 3 weeks after the storm Rosemary with Bold Roofing knocked on my door. She explained that they would inspect my roof for free with no obligation to see if there was any hail damage. Of course, there was. We then talked about replacement. They handled everything! She contacted State Farm right then and got approval to start the claim. A few days later, the State Farm rep came out and met with Ted (Bold Roofing) and they wrote up an estimate to replace the roof. Then came a couple of weeks of hard rains so the start date got pushed back. But they finally came and put on a new roof. They got started late in the day, so they did have to come back the next morning, but normally it is a less than one day process. As everyone knows, we had extensive damage here in Granbury due to the tornado. Although our home did not take a direct hit we knew we had damage and had an inspector give us a look-see. The roofers and tree people flocked to our neighborhood and were all over us! This included Bold Roofing. Although Michael was insistent he did not use the "aggressive sales tactics" that the other reviewers mentioned. He and my husband came to an agreement on work to be done and price and his crew showed up as promised. What impressed me the most was the quality of the work done. I am disappointed as well. Gabe had one of his most inexperienced trades spry stain on a fence on the windiest day of the year. As a result, I now have stain everywhere that cannot be removed. The biggest slap in the face, they don't feel that they caused the damage and claimed I was a liar and the stain had already been there before they started. This is after I addressed both of them about the concern of the wind. I called Gabe immediately, he new the stain was fresh because he rubbed it off with his finger. I was told his guy could not come to clean up his mess until Saturday (2 days latter) because he dose not work on Fridays. Like I wanted to spend my Saturday with these guys, in the middle of the day... I am more upset they did not claim responsibility and told me (and my wife) I was a liar and the stain was already there before they sprayed the fence. read more
