2620 Management Factual Response to unhappy noisy former resident:
Below is a review from a former resident that did not follow the lease and caused disruptive noise to his neighbors. Since this resident clearly identified himself in posting here on Yelp using his actual name, we are very aware of the facts of the situation and have solid documentation in emails (not to mention the lease he signed) to justify management's actions. First, he was a repeat noise offender to one neighbor with his television and music late at night to the point where the neighbor asked to be moved to another unit in the building. His other neighbor even reported having a picture fall off of her wall due to the vibration from the bass noise one night. We have an email trail to prove the repeated complaints and that in fact, there were about 13 days that passed between (Day 1) an initial verbal warning, (Day 5) a follow up written formal noise complaint and fine warning letter that was emailed, and then (Day 13) a second email communication that he was going to be fined $150 due to continued complaints. Regarding the $135 for his parking lease: he signed a 12 month parking spot lease. He decided to move out of the building before his lease expired. He sublet his apartment unit and had the same option to try to sublet his parking spot. It was his choice to move out early due to purchasing a condo. He was still legally responsible for the parking lease. It's pretty simple. Many residents before and after him have either found that they just no longer wanted their spot (or moved out early) and have successfully sublet their parking spot to another resident in the building. As far as the other issues: we NEVER give permission for anyone to use a leased parking spot. We have even towed vehicles we discover in spots that do not belong to the lease holder. Had we been made aware of this, we would have taken immediate action. From time to time, we might have an occasional leaky pipe. We either fix it, or would move someone to a new parking spot had we known that it was an unsolvable problem. Laundry is only $1.50 per load, and the dryers work very well after finally diagnosing a structural ventilation issue. We are sorry that this former resident is unhappy about his experience at 2620 Lofts. We strive to run a very nice building where people like to call it their home. Anyone is welcome to email management@2620lofts to talk to the management team or even talk to current residents. Thank you for taking the time to read this clarification. read more
