Food first, thoughts after... This was my first time having Bolay but will definitely not be the last. I ordered online and went to pick it up. The options were amazing and the taste is great. I think about it often and I cannot wait for my next Bolay experience. Spacious dining with seating indoor and outdoor.

My first time at Bolay, had heard very good things about it but never had a chance. I've been to chipotle and Moe's before but I definitely like this place better. The food tastes fresher and healthier choices. The staff are very nice and they even give you scratch offs to play and i actually got a free chia seed pudding. I will definitely is it this place very often and recommend it I created my own bowl with Jasmine rice, teriyaki chicken and bean medley and didn't disappoint. My wife tried the pesto noodles and chicken also great!!

First time trying Bolay after passing by it many times when in the lake Nona area. I placed a mobile order which was easy. Parking is a bit of a hassle but thankfully the shopping center wasn't too busy so found parking. Inside it's spacious and decor is cute. Staff is friendly and greet you as you come in. Now to the food... I created my own bowl so I went with pesto noodles, spinach and almond salad, lemon chicken, pickled onions, feta cheese, chimichurri tomatoes, and garlic and herb sauce and it was delicious! Everything was flavorful and fresh. The portion was good and fulfilling. To drink I had Mandarin Cardamom Fresca and it was refreshing and not too sweet! Really enjoyed it and already wanting to go back to try other menu items.

Healthy options. Come in for an early dinner. Ordered the Ala carte- My favorite base is the sweet potato noodles and kale. Serving portion for the noodles and kale looked the same. But the noodles were barely there. The broccoli was not charred enough, and the lacked taste. The chicken was tasty and the steak was cooked right. Overall, it was a good meal and healthy too. The price has gone up, which was 21$ got a large portion.

The staff were nice and the interior is mostly pretty clean. In terms of the food, I got a customized bowl with teriyaki chicken and steak. The teriyaki chicken had a nice flavor to it, but the steak was too chewy for me. The sauces were a great addition to the bowl and they pour a healthy amount of it. I got the large bowl and it was very filling and good for its price. I will say that all the veggies are chopped a bit big so heads up if that's off putting for you. Overall, nice place for a chain restaurant

The Rundown: it's Bolay. Think Chipotle but healthy bowls (with flavors even those who turn noses at healthy will enjoy). The Review: This location certainly lives up to the Bolay expectation. Fast and friendly service, lots of flavorful options, and reasonable pricing. Sweet potato noodles and teriyaki chicken are still among my favorite choices! It's a comfortable environment to eat, and they also offer free Wi-Fi. It was not very busy when I was there but many of the tables needed to be wiped so that is an area of improvement - but it happens and fortunately wasn't something I found to be uncomfortable. Side note - I still think it's weird that Bolay doesn't seem to have trash stations with holes large enough where the paper bowls can fit instead of needing to crunch them up to fit in the hole.

    So delicious and refreshing!!

Very flavorful and healthy bowl! Great portions as well! Nice place to visit for a healthy meal

I ordered through Postmates, so I'm not sure on the service or ambiance, but the food was great. Nice, lighter style meal, good portion, and not too expensive. Plus, there's usually good deals when ordering on DoorDash or Postmates!

Food was fresh. The miso tofu was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. Hubby got the curated Rain-bol which looked underwhelming but tasted great. Service could have been quicker considering it was rather quiet when we went.

We also shared Bread Pudding with a salted caramel sauce and gelato for dessert and it was incredible. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. These are smaller portions and just enough for the three of us. Service was really good and professional more like what you would expect at finer dining restaurants. The outside patio was nice as there was a breeze and each table had fly prevention fans on the tabletop which was excellent. They have a decent sized menu and they do offer some larger entrees to share which we will have to return to experience. This is a definite recommend and a place we will return to. Beautiful area that this restaurant is located in within the Lake Nona Med Center. Outside the restaurant in the courtyard there were several vendors set up selling things for Mother's Day. This itself was a beautiful area to spend time in. Free parking via garage.

We were dying for a place with fresh air and outdoor seating, so a colleague found Canvas and we were all completely on board. This exceeded all expectations. The outdoor table in a covered area on the lake was just what we needed and the space itself is beautiful. Our server was Elizabeth and she was someone who has a real gift for delivering great hospitality. We were a larger, last minute group and she really took great care of us so we were all grateful to be seated in her section and all said how excellent she was at her job. The drink list was awesome and they had a great variety of cocktails, mocktails, and wines by the glass/bottle. I had a watermelon ranch water to start, that was so light and refreshing, plus really unique. I then moved onto wine, but my colleagues ordered a variety of drinks like the Lake Side Collins, Espresso Martini, and Blood Orange Cosmo. One in our group who is pregnant really enjoyed the mocktails on the menu. We started with a few apps that Elizabeth recommended, including the whipped ricotta, buffalo chicken, and calamari. We had a lot of different food preferences, but everyone easily found something to order. I had a Caesar salad and truffle fries (the fries were good, but not truffle-y) since like a toddler, I filled up on apps, but everyone cleaned their plates. The portions are also HUGE - two of my friends split the mushroom calzone and a Caesar and it was probably enough food for 3 people. We ended by sharing the Nutella donuts at the table which was the best choice to wrap up a wonderful evening out after two really hard days of work. If I lived in the area, Canvas would be somewhere I'd want in regular rotation to visit - it was a great blend of amazing service, a beautiful ambiance and vibe, and wonderful food/drink options. The most difficult part was figuring out WHAT to order off this menu!

I swear this whole experience felt like a social experiment or something. We were quoted a 20-minute wait that turned into 40, which is fine, but when we got the "table ready" text and went up front, the staff didn't even know if our table was actually ready. Already confused. Then we get seated at a 4-person table. We ask if we can sit at the 2-person table literally right next to it (like... less than a foot away), and they say no. Instead, they have us pull apart the 4-person table ourselves to make it work... and we had to clean it too because there was still stuff on it. At this point I'm like ok so we're employees now? Then a manager comes over and asks us to pick up and rotate our table to make space for a couple with a baby. Mind you this is the SECOND time we've had to move our table. We do it... and then they don't even seat the couple there. So we just rearranged the restaurant for fun I guess. The hostess was also hovering and making small talk about a matcha I got from the coffee spot inside, which felt like she was trying to make up for the table situation but it just made everything more awkward. Also why are the water refills like that?? They kept coming by and pouring literal droplets instead of just filling the glass. And our server somehow had perfect timing in the worst way possible -- every single time my mouth was full, she would appear and ask how everything was. It became a running joke. At one point we were laughing so hard because we genuinely couldn't believe what was happening. The crazy part is the food was actually really good. We spent around $200, so I expected the experience to match. Overall... great food, but the service felt like a fever dream. At this point I'm just wondering when HR is sending my onboarding paperwork.

Instead, I found salvation at Lake Nona's Miller's Ale House, my sister's favorite place to eat. The Flight-Delay Forgiveness Tour: Miller's Ale House Edition After my flight from New York decided to linger in the clouds long enough for me to consider the nutritional value of the airplane's headrest covers, and I touched down in Lake Nona with a hunger so ravenous that I was ready to seize the first edible object I saw. My sister's suggestion and my hunger led us here. I sought penance for my travel delays in the form of the Brunch Burger. This was no mere sandwich; it was a half-pound premium beef patty crowned with a majestic fried egg, peppered bacon, and a creamy red chili sauce that acted as a peace treaty for my grumbling stomach. It was so juicy and well-executed that with every bite, it practically whispered a formal apology for every minute I spent on the tarmac. My sister, meanwhile, opted for the English Pub Fish & Chips. The white fish was beer-battered to such a flaky, golden perfection that it almost attempted to swim right off the plate and back to the Atlantic. But let's discuss the real MVP: the seasoned fries. These were the antithesis of the 'double-dropped' or over-fried tragedies found elsewhere; they were crunchy, precision-seasoned, and undeniably fresh. We didn't leave a single stub behind. In fact, had there been a lone crumb remaining, we might have engaged in a territorial dispute over it like a pair of frantic seagulls at the pier. Miller's didn't just provide a meal; they provided a 'salvation' from a stressful day of travel. If you're looking for a place where the food is as bold as the energy in the room, this is your front-row seat. I didn't try it this time, but if you love sweets like me, you should definitely try the Captain Jack's Buried Treasure cake--You won't regret it. Psst, just so you know: it's definitely a treat to share.

While Lake Nona offers several options, you and your BFF have found your sanctuary at First Watch at Lake Nona, a spot so popular that it seems to perpetually have a line out the door. The Mid-Day Breakfast Heist: "My BFF and I were on a mission. It was mid-day, the sun was high, and our stomachs were demanding breakfast with the kind of urgency usually reserved for emergency sirens. We needed two things: fresh, piping hot coffee and a meal that didn't involve a 20-minute wait in the Florida humidity. This place is so legendary in Lake Nona that there's almost always a crowd. Fate, however, was on our side. While the 'wait for a table' list was already hitting that dreaded 20-minute mark, we spotted the holy grail of hungry diners: the bar-height tables. We bypassed the queue, claimed our high-altitude seats, and got straight to business. First, the coffee. It wasn't just a beverage; it was a sure-fire 'wake-up and get-running' miracle in a mug. First Watch's signature Project Sunrise coffee, sourced from women-led farms in Huila, Colombia, was the true co-star of the show--rich, bold, and served by the potful. It perfectly prepared us for the main event: The Farmhouse Hash. This skillet is a masterclass in savory breakfast--a bed of seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions, and tomatoes, all under a blanket of melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack. In a display of culinary individuality, we ordered it in two different styles. My BFF opted for hers as a fluffy omelet, while I--knowing exactly what I like--requested my eggs cooked well-done. The result? A fresh, savory masterpiece that satisfied every mid-day craving we had. And let's keep this between us--shhh--but this place easily takes the crown over Keke's. Whether it's the more upscale, modern vibe or the fact that the food never misses, it's our undisputed go-to. Just don't tell the rest of Orlando, or we'll never get those bar seats again.
