Overall, I enjoy the food. It's on the "healthier" side. I have multiple complaints, which may not be an issue for some. These complaints are what's keeping me from giving 5 stars. I love their efforts of being mindful of health. 100% gluten free, drinks without dyes & high fructose, no seed oils. 1. Temperature of food - majority of the time, certain items are consistently barely warm or flat out cold, even when it's a "fresh batch." For example, a new batch of sweet potatoes were extremely cold. You could tell they were not fresh. 2. Doneness of food - sweet potatoes, victim again. They are always undercooked and hardly edible. Are they not tasting their own food? They'd also be better if the skin was removed, as the skin makes them hard to chew. The broccoli is also very undercooked. Hard to chew and could use more flavor honestly. 3. Portion size - for the price, the portion sizes aren't matching. Depending on who is rationing out the food, you might still be hungry after. 4. Lack of multiple cooked vegetables - the only cooked vegetable offered is broccoli, which isn't even appealing. I wish they offered a variety of hot/cooked vegetable options. Aside from the tables always being dirty, the store is decently clean. The drink machine nozzles could use a more attention when it comes to cleaning. None of what I said stops me from eating there, just hope one day, I see a change. read more

My first time at Bolay, had heard very good things about it but never had a chance. I've been to chipotle and Moe's before but I definitely like this place better. The food tastes fresher and healthier choices. The staff are very nice and they even give you scratch offs to play and i actually got a free chia seed pudding. I will definitely is it this place very often and recommend it I created my own bowl with Jasmine rice, teriyaki chicken and bean medley and didn't disappoint. First time trying Bolay after passing by it many times when in the lake Nona area. I placed a mobile order which was easy. Parking is a bit of a hassle but thankfully the shopping center wasn't too busy so found parking. Inside it's spacious and decor is cute. Staff is friendly and greet you as you come in. Now to the food... I created my own bowl so I went with pesto noodles, spinach and almond salad, lemon chicken, pickled onions, feta cheese, chimichurri tomatoes, and garlic and herb sauce and it was delicious! The staff were nice and the interior is mostly pretty clean. In terms of the food, I got a customized bowl with teriyaki chicken and steak. The teriyaki chicken had a nice flavor to it, but the steak was too chewy for me. The sauces were a great addition to the bowl and they pour a healthy amount of it. I got the large bowl and it was very filling and good for its price. I will say that all the veggies are chopped a bit big so heads up if that's off putting for you. Fast and friendly service, lots of flavorful options, and reasonable pricing. Sweet potato noodles and teriyaki chicken are still among my favorite choices! It's a comfortable environment to eat, and they also offer free Wi-Fi. It was not very busy when I was there but many of the tables needed to be wiped so that is an area of improvement - but it happens and fortunately wasn't something I found to be uncomfortable. Side note - I still think it's weird that Bolay doesn't seem to have trash stations with holes large enough where the paper bowls can fit instead of needing to crunch them up to fit in the hole. read more

First time at this location. Employees were visibly annoyed which was an immediate red flag. The food was barely warm and the zucchini had no flavor. However, the broccoli was delicious and the rice tasted good as well. Haven't been to Bolay in a while and we're in the area close to one so stopped by for an early dinner. This location was very nice and super clean and tighty inside. I feel like the temperature of the food is always a hit or miss at Bolay and this time is was more on the miss. The only thing that was hot or good temperature was the rice. Everything else was on the colder side. I'm pretty sure it not suppose to be but maybe it's me. The service here was also not so great, kind of felt like the employees were giving off a bit of attitude but that's how I saw it. Probably will skip Bolay for a while. read more

Since we had never been before, we did have some questions about the menu, but they were able to answer everything for us! Pricing was very fair for the portions we were getting and the food itself was SO good! My only suggestion would be to have the food items labeled in the case so I know what options look like! Not the end of the world, but I felt bad asking which items were what in the case, as I wanted to make sure I understood what I was ordering before adding it to my bowl. I am so excited about Bolay. I first tried it when it was ordered for a Corporate lunch (so I had no choice), and boy was I in for a treat. I now frequent Bolay a couple times a month, as I am in love with flavor and eating healthy all in one bowl. My winning combo starts with Kale Yeah! salad as a base, then I add roasted brussel sprouts and balsamic mushrooms. For protein, it is a toss between lemon chicken and the spicy thai shrimp - but, I am working myself up to the steak au jus! (It's just that darn lemon chicken is soooo good!) To top off - fresh cilantro - and "on occasion", a bit of Avo! Guys, my mouth is watering from just thinking of the incredible Cilantro Pesto I eat my combo with. Must try at least once! - Although, creamy garlic and herb sounds yummy too. (Again, Cilantro Pesto must have an elf in my ear, as it screams cilantro pesto every time!) Good - quick and pretty healthy lunch and for convenience you may order ahead to win the privilege of a front parking spot. Yeah - the only thing that not cool, parking here is at a premium, and more times than not, you must go park in the back to get in. In fact, TIP - just go straight back to park, as much easier to navigate the bottleneck that gets you back on Narcoossee Road just to turn back around if no parking out front.
