Such a shame they have no professional managers. We have been giving them money since they opened. Awesome place. Now they have shipped all the good help to other new spots. We are stuck with new people, we over tip and get nothing in return. Just recently our server would not even speak to us since we asked for management to maybe buy us a drink after 5 years of over tipping. We spent hundreds of dollars there. not one free cocktail. My advice. Do not over tip. I called to complain, and got put in place. The so called manager said to go elsewhere. I advise the same. Been here a couple of times. The food is pretty good and the service was speedy for a busy dinner hour. Got the spring rolls and my sister and I ended up sharing a couple of sushi rolls. Highly recommend the Yujin Roll. Price wise it is a little expensive but for special occasions it's worth it. read more

Went here last night before our movie, it is right across the street from Marcus Theater Addison. You needed a reservation for Saturday night, but the bar was open seating. We scored some seats at the bar. We had the Vietnamese spring rolls, Scorpion roll.and red dragon. All very delicious. I love their happy hour special with 1/2 price maki rolls and appetizers. Such a great value and the food is pretty tasty. However, I would never pay regular price (very over priced) for they food. Came in here and got seated in the dining area around 8:45. I opened the little red book they have and in there I noticed that lady's night is Wednesday and it ends at 9. Well it took the waitress 20 minutes to come to out table and we asked her at 9:02 if we can do the lady's night special. She told us that the computer systems don't allow to adjust the prices. Bs!!!!! I'm not dumb! She then calls the manager on duty and the manager comes over to tell us that there was a misunderstanding about the lady's night special and she can't do it. First of all if you are a manager introduce yourself first!!! And we were here before the special ended it just took the slow waitress a while to come over. I've had lunch here a few times and it was okay, nothing great by any means. Had dinner here for the first time last night and it was terrible. I ordered the tilapia and I really do believe they breaded the tail and served it to me. I could not find the fish under all of the breading, peppers and sauce. So I wound up paying approx $25 for rice and peppers. I usually don't complain but I would have if my waiter would have asked how the meal was when he could obviously see I didn't eat it. And to add to that we ordered sushi as an appetizer and they forgot to bring it out. Won't be back! read more

We walked in and waited for the host for like 5 minutes because he was busy serving, then he had to look real hard at the computer where to seat us when half of the room was open. It took forever to get our food, people that came in after us got theirs first... Got an order of calimari and three orders of sushi. Calimari was ok, but the sushi was terrible, falling apart and super tiny and no flavor for the price I pay at a good sushi place. Maybe they have some good food there but I don't think I will be back there to find out. My bill was 60 for one small beer, 3 sushi plates, and calimari... Today was my second time at Wok 'n Fire. Me and hubby had a very good experience the first time. The place looks new and clean, very nice ambience. Restroom was clean too! ( I have this notion, that restroom cleanliness reflects kitchen cleanliness,,) Price is very reasonable for the serving size. Food is very good. We came back today for the calamari. It was very delicious the first time. Its even better today because its half off during happy hour. So we had 2 orders of calamari for the price of 1. The calamari was crunchy and yet soft when u chew it. The sauce was different from any typical asian flavor. The rolls, sushi were were good too. The servers were very good at their job- nice friendly, attentive. They serve food fast too..And yes Im going back again for more calamari and sushi, maki rolls and sashimi..! read more

This place is good for what it is. The sushi is okay. The nigiri is a bit spendy for what you get. The rolls are good and generous. My favorite is the crazy roll. I tried the pho and it was salty, and not very good. The ahi tuna steak is delicious though. So is the sea bass. The servers are okay. On all three occasions that I've eaten here the service was efficient enough but the servers themselves are not super knowledgable about the various styles of cuisine served here. Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese...take your pick. It would probably be better if they chose one style and just did that very well. Instead they're all over the map and doing everything just alright. The hosts are awesome though. They were friendly, gracious, and helpful on all three visits. Plus they remembered me on my second visit which really impressed me. That's why I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 3. Make reservations for dinner on weekends because this place gets full. Visited this restaurant with my husband. It was delicious. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and the miso soup and the portion was plentiful. My husband ordered the book choy with chicken and brown rice. His was very good as well. I went to Wok'n Fire tonight at 8:30 on a Monday night. The host was very nice and greeted us. As we sat down, the waitress came and got us our drinks. One of the drinks was only half filled. She then said she'd be back to take our orders. Keep in mind we were the only people in the dining room and there was one couple at the bar. She never came back to take our order. Finally after 15 minutes we asked the other waitor to get out waitress. The waitress then came, and took our order. It was as if she wasn't even listening because we had to correct our orders from her twice before she put the orders in. After putting the order in, our waitress was gone for 25 minutes until she came and delivered half of our tables food. She gave one of the guests only his rice and not the rest of his order. Finally she brought the rest of the order after 15 minutes more. When she dropped off our food, again she went missing. We noticed that most of the silverware at the table was dirty. She responded with, "Ewh that's disgusting." We asked her then to correct our order because it was messed up. When our drinks ran up again we had to ask the other waitor to get us refills. Even when we were finished we asked the other waitor to get our check. She was very eager to get her tip even with her bad service. We ended up leaving a very low tip. We left very unsatisfied and will probably not go back. We use to go to Wok'n Fire at least four times a month, and we would tip 35% even with the bad service that we were given. That was our last and final visit to Wok'n Fire. I would NOT recommend anyone to go there unless your looking for bad service. read more

The food here is delicious - however check your "to go" order before you leave! Three times I have placed a take out order only to find that it was wrong when I got home. Once they gave me chicken pad siew instead of Steak pad siew, once they added a huge quantity of onions to a dish that I had requested WITHOUT onions, and once they gave me tofu instead of chicken in my pad thai. This was my 2nd visit. 1st time was great. Sat in the bar area (1st come 1st serve) and had wine and appetizers. The waitress was good and told us it was happy hour. Went back today expecting the same. Sat fairly quickly. Ordered the same and then were told it was only happy hour at the bar when we got our $79 bill. Asked the server to call the Manager. Explained that we weren't told and that neither servers had ever said it was only at the bar. She was not even intrested and said that it was too bad the host nor our server had told us before hand. So again we said the bill should be adjusted because the staff had not done their job and she said she couldn't. What's the point of being a Manager if you can't adjust a bill when clearly the staff wasn't all on the same page. Last time we come here! read more

It was fairly good before as Wok n Fire, but under the new name and ownership it is excellent. At a quick glance, the menu is almost the same as before, but The tuna salad was a tremendous improvement, and the new mochi ice cream was more tasty and had better plate presentation. I'm extremely pleased with the speediness of the service during lunch time. The two times that I dined here for lunch when it was Wok n Fire, I had horrible service and it was painfully slow. I only have a 45 minute lunch and I was late back to work those two times. I'm so glad that the restaurant changed to Bok Choy, because the service is fast for lunch and the prices are decent. The two of us had any three rolls for $19 which included choice of soup or salad. This was plenty of food and a good deal. It's not the best sushi in the world, but I'll definitely go back. read more

The noodle dishes are a solid "OK". Not awesome, but definitely OK. The steak salad is pretty poor. Tastes like iceberg lettuce and dried pieces of beef. The sushi is my favorite, BUT I wish they had more speciality roles without tempura shrimp. I feel as though nearly every one of their roles comes with this included. I've been here a few times lately, with very similar experiences. The food is very decent, on par as a competitor to P.F. Chang's, and the sushi is remarkable considering this is suburban Addison. However, it doesn't matter if it's nearly empty or somewhat full, service is always an issue. I'm not expecting anything top-class, but five minutes spent trying to catch a server's eye for my check when I have a cleared table and a finished beer feels dumb. At one point the entire restaurant was looking for our waitress because she disappeared for like 20 minutes at least! Not only did she go missing but she messed up everybody's orders. We asked to speak with the manager and instead of making sure we the customers were satisfied and apologize for our bad experience, she tried to justify the waitress' mistakes! Went for happy hour with a friend. It took quite some time for someone to come out and seat us & a couple behind us (it was a Monday evening at 6PM) We sat in the lounge area which is extremely small & we had no space at all. The coconut shrimp was burnt & the whole piece was fried with little shrimp inside. The egg rolls were really good along with the sauces. Our waitress was on top of things which made the experience better. We would have sat in the dining room but would not be able to take advantage of the happy hour. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Everything is great from the sushi to the pad thai! I have never tried anything that I did not love! It is a little pricey but definitely worth it, portions are huge. Came here on Saturday night. Had decent service and the sushi appetizer and food came out quickly. We split a wok tossed entree and it was okay... I had a few chewy pieces of chicken in mine.
