Had a strange encounter with a homeless man at this Bojangles. He was standing in the way of the drive through, so we had to keep inching our car up until he got the idea. My boyfriend driving the car was pointing to the drive through to give him an idea of what we were doing. While we were grabbing our food, he came way too close to our car and stared at it like it was a Mercedes Benz. We tried to ignore him, but he was making it hard. Luckily the security guard came out and told him to leave. That's why I'm giving it two stars. Another reason why I'm writing a low star review is because the food was awful. We live in downtown Raleigh, so it's not like we had to drive half an hour to get back to our house. The chicken sandwich had a fishy smell. The fries had minimal seasoning. even though I appreciate the security guard going above and beyond, we will not be returning to this location. read more

I just really can appreciate the night time manager light skinned guy. By no means is this or any location perfect but he does his best and that's really all you can ask. I won't give a 1 star review because their employees are amazing but how do you messed up your orders so much, you don't even get what you order from the app. First time I order 5 Cajun sandwiches and I only received 4 and I was like okay that's fine, second time I ordered 3 sandwiches and pay for combos on all three and I made them a club sandwich. We split a family pack which came with fried chicken, biscuits & gravy, mashed potatoes, baked beans and a gallon of sweet tea. The price was ridiculously cheap for the amount of food we had. Although it wasn't the healthiest meal, it was very good! The sweet tea was wayyy too sweet for me. i couldn't have more than a sip. But the chicken and the sides were delicious. Rude employee in the drive-thru & got my order wrong. How can you confuse "steak biscuit combo" with "chicken filet biscuit combo"? I was the only one in the drive-thru. Even being unhappy with the wrong order, I attempted to eat the meal. Chicken was tough & overcooked. I tried to eat just the biscuit & even that wasn't very good. I love Bojangles and we always get the supremes which are the chicken tenders. Today I went and they handed me this huge box that could barely fit into my car window. I also paid more than usual too. Didn't think much of it because I ordered something extra and saw the huge box so thought maybe they upped the prices. No, they gave me totally different meal. This review is solely for whomever the woman working drive-thru window at 4:12pm today (June 10, 2020). I've worked in a variety of restaurants over the last 17yrs and management for the last 6yrs. The woman working in the drive-thru window should not have customer interaction. She's very short, rude, dismissive and passive aggressive. Hopefully she was having an off day. I get we are in "different time" thanks to Covid, but if this is who she is she should stick to scooping fries or filling drinks. I had asked for honey mustard, as well as extra seasoning (willing to pay no problem) on my fries, when I placed me order. When I checked my order before pulling away from the window I didn't have either. When I asked her, without even making eye contact she said curtly, "pull up for condiments, thank you, bye" while shutting the window in my face. Regardless if you're working a fast-food window or a full service restaurant, you're still in the HOSPITALITY industry. If you don't like people, maybe a job stocking shelves somewhere will better suit an employee with her attitude. read more

I have been to this @Bojangles1977 a few times, and they are hit or miss. Most of the times it is good, but occasionally they could be better. The last time I was there I ordered an Unsweet tea without ice. When the cashier handed me the drink it was full of ice. I mentioned to her that I wanted it without ice, and she just strained the tea out of the ice into a different cup, and then topped it off. Umm, that is not what I wanted. When you order a freshly brewed tea without ice, then it is stronger, and hot. The cashier gave me a cold watered down drink, which is not what I wanted, nor asked for. But the cashier didn't think about that. With the chicken, it is generally good, with no problems, but the fries are sometimes not the freshest. Instead of cooking larger baskets of fries, try smaller baskets more often, then they are hotter and fresher. But that is just my opinion, the guy that wants hot fries every time. #424 read more

Their cashiers are hard of hearing. I asked her to tell them to get my wings from the last pan and of course she did not so I ended up taking then that I want fresh wings. Only reason they do not receive 5 stars is the fact that their drive thru line is backed up most times and expect to spend 5 minutes or more waiting. I went to this location this morning for breakfast, and the staff treated me terribly! They yelled at me like I was an animal, and I didn't even get my food. I was so afraid and hungry. I had to leave without getting anything to eat or drink, but it actually did not matter because the attitude of the staff put the taste out of my mouth for the food anyway. Another time I was here, I ordered an egg biscuit, and I didn't even ask for butter, but they slopped butter on it anyway... I almost choked on the butter slab they put in there. When I went back to tell them that I did not ask for butter on my biscuit they did the same thing when they gave me a new one --- ewww... exact reason why I don't order egg biscuits now. The customer service at this location was exception and was some true southern hospitality. The speed of service was decent. Hit or miss, this place usually has great food, but not always. This place almost always forgets the dipping sauce at the drive-thru, and occasionally some supreme tenders, or biscuits, or will default to fries instead of the sides you really ordered. Just make sure you check your bags before you leave with them, or alternatively, eat in. I bump this place up a star because I did write to rdubojangles about the frequent problems we often have and they did send 3 cards for free supreme dinners. I suppose that is something. It really doubt make up for the huge pile of minor injustices we've been dealt since moving here 6 years ago, but it's definitely something. That said, we did return right afterwards, and they still forgot the dipping sauce. My husband said he sat right at the drive-through window and checked before even driving off. This location has the WORST customer service! They often get our order wrong even though the ticket is right. When you drive up to the window, they say NOTHING to you at all, no greeting, no telling me how much my order is, literally silence. Not a hi, how are you, can I get you any sauces or condiments, nothing. They hand me my food, I ask for some condiments, I don't even get an "ok" back. They just reach over and hand it to me. I always say thank you, and still NOTHING. No your welcome, no have a nice day. Where has the customer service industry gone? It has gotten to the point when I go through the drive through, I wait to see if they say anything to me as a test, 3 times now, complete silence. That is just ridiculous.
