The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant of any kind in 40+ years. At the drive-thru, I placed an order for 5 meals, one of which included a kid's meal. When I was handed the order, I was given two kid's drinks, so I inquired about the order to insure that the order was correct. I was not angry, nor irritated - just wanted to be sure. The girl who had taken my order (also not wearing a mask, I might add) heard me asking the girl handing out the food and literally interrupted our conversation to tell me - or should I say scream at me - that I had ordered two kid's meals and that if I wanted anything else, I would need to re-order. I told her that I did not order two kid's meals and she got exceptionally belligerent with me and literally lunged at me at the drive-thru window to tell me that I did in fact order two kid's meals, and that "I know that because I have this headset on." Totally appalled at this point at her behavior/attitude. We were travelling home from Virginia and just wanted food, so I (now regrettably) ordered another meal (like I had previously ordered and she got wrong) just to get things moving since all she wanted to do was argue. I was angry at this point and grabbed it out of the other girl's hand who was working the window. Due to COVID measures, the dining room was closed, so we ended up pulling into a parking space at the restaurant and ate our food - which was honestly not at all good. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting in grease for a few hours, and the fries were greasy. When we finished, I did decide to drive back around through the drive-thru to apologize to the young lady who had handed us our food (not the one who had been so nasty), as she was clearly stuck in the middle of all of that exchange. When I was talking with her, this girl approached the window AGAIN to talk to me. I made it very clear that I was not there to speak with her. After apologizing to the other girl, I calmly told the other gal that I would be reporting her to the corporate office and asked to speak to a manager on duty. Her response? "Oh, you're gonna call corporate? Good for you!" I asked what her name was (knowing full well she would lie) and she told me her name was Amber. KeKe was the manager on duty and she came to the window. I asked her if she was OK with her employees speaking to customers like she was doing and she asked me to pull to the front so she could come out to speak to me. KeKe could not have been nicer. She had apparently been in the back when the first incident happened, but when she heard the girl tell me her name was Amber, she came to the window as I was asking to speak to the manager. KeKe told me that her name was Autumn Mays and not Amber and that she had already gotten three complaints about her that same evening. She apologized and offered to refund my entire first order, which she did. She told me that her general manager, Diana, would be in on Monday and that they would take care of it. I called to follow up with Diana on Tuesday and she was not aware of the situation. She half-heartedly apologized and offered me a free meal when I was in the area again. I travel in this area frequently and I told her that as long as Autumn was working there, I would never be back. Any company that would keep an employee on staff like this is despicable. Never have I ever seen such blatant disrespect and treatment of customers by an employee. She really makes your company look bad! read more
