We were told at the speaker to expect an additional 20 minute wait for chicken, but only one car abandoned the long queue. I took that as a sign of good things to come. The wait was far less than 20 minutes and the reward was most certainly worth it. The chicken was not only freshly cooked, but the rich, crispy, salty unctuous treasure of memory. Many of the local Church's Chicken restaurants have closed in the past few years. I couldn't tell you if it was from poor business management, franchisee collapse or competition.
