Now I ain't one to complain, but I had a little experience at Bojangles today that I just gotta speak on. It was already hot outside -- the kind of heat that stick to your skin and make you question why you left the house. But when I stepped inside Bojangles... Lord have mercy, it was even hotter in there than it was outside. No breeze, no air movin'. Felt like the fryers were workin' overtime and the A/C had clocked out for the day. Still, I smiled, stood in line, and ordered my usual: two-piece dark, dirty rice, and a biscuit. Good ol' comfort food. But when I sat down and opened that box... I realized the food must've been waitin' on me longer than I was waitin' on it. Chicken was barely warm, biscuit dry, and the rice didn't have no steam to it at all. I didn't fuss. I just sat there in that heat, fannin' myself with a napkin, thinkin', "Now this ain't how Bojangles used to treat a man." Man... look. I went back to Bojangles, and yeah, the food was still fire--hot, crispy, seasoned like somebody's grandma was in the back with a mission. But let me tell you something: it was hot in more ways than one. No air conditioning. None. I walked in and immediately felt like I stepped into a convection oven with gospel music and biscuit crumbs. I was sweating before I even hit the counter. The chicken was hot, the fries were hot, I was hot--it was like they wanted you to feel every degree of that Southern heat with your soul. I sat down with my tray, unwrapped that biscuit, and it practically steamed itself open like it knew it was in a sauna. The sweet tea couldn't even save me. I was sipping it like it was holy water, just trying to survive. I had to eat with one hand and fan myself with napkins in the other. Like Bojangles, I love y'all, but y'all gotta fix that AC. Slowest Bojangles ever. Yes, it's 11:30 am and there are ten cars waiting to place their orders. Yes, the chicken is good but is it that good? The restaurant has a large parking lot (helpful for when there's such a queue) and at least in early April, the dining room remains closed or I would have gone inside. This is bonkers. The food was hot and fresh. The service was a bit slow. It took awhile for someone, to approach the counter and take our order. It took another 10 minutes or so, before we received our order. I waited 35 min in the drive thru only to get to the window and receive part of my order and then told to pull up because they needed to make the bacon for bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich. I waited 7 min before going in and asking where it was. She said still making the bacon. I waited another 8 min before just going in and telling them I'll take it with no bacon because my other food was getting cold. I saw the woman put the sandwich together for me quickly and just handed me the bag. No I'm sorry or anything. I get home, the sandwich had bacon on it. I mean, 50 min for a sandwich and biscuit with gravy was awful! But to get no apology or smile after that kind of wait! She didn't even say they were able to make it for me with the bacon. I hate to be a Karen but I'll never go back based on the customer service that was not provided today. I'll go to southern pines next time instead of raeford! read more

Staff were working like a well oiled machine. Working well together and just getting it done. I was very impressed. They were so polite to every customer. I have been going to this Bojangles' for a long time and never really complain much; however, today stood out. Picture the drive-thru line with only one car in front of you. For some unknown reason, things are slower, but no big deal. As you pull up to order, a black Chevy corvette (the manager's black corvette) pulls in front of you before you can make it to the window. He proceeds to point in the window and hand the staff cash......he demands a box of chicken. So, not only is the line being slow, but the manager has just cut in to get his "not-ordered" meal. 20 minutes in the drive-thru line. Can someone say prick??? Just a friendly reminder to everyone else that goes to this Bojangles, if you see the black corvette parked, just drive on by. Seems like the rules are: Manager 1st, customers 2nd.
